- Willie, Sarah and their dog, Jack Spaniels, continue their biggest adventure yet - leaving their suburban life and moving over the sea to a remote cottage on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.
In this episode, the Skye Lifers start to feel like life is returning to normal, or as close to normal as Living The Skye Life ever gets, as they are get on top of Hurri-canine Nori!
There's more essential work on Yolanda the Landrover Defender, before the icy temperatures dip too low and the creativity is flowing in the byre studios once again, as we are visited by a professional photographer and Sarah reimagines our nearly 200 year old cottage, as it might have looked before we moved in.
Plus, Nori is released on the big bad world, as his jabs kick in and he gets his FREEEEEDOM...sort of!

My daugther and I watch every Sunday afternoon after Church and lunch. Today we watched with her crocheted, highland cow that she got for her 13th birthday. She named him Willie.

Couldn’t pick a better environment for nori to grow up and thrive in , pure heaven, and the sound of his feet in the water and on the wet sand is brilliant.

I'v had 2 dogs in my life both black labs and i adored them. I was heartbroken when they passed away. You are very blessed to have Jack and Nori in your life. They are such beautiful souls. Warming him up after a cold walk is one of our favourite times - he’s so cuddly and tired out from the walk, so he doesn’t bite haha!

Great video, loved seeing Nori and Jack out and about. Loved the sound of Nori in the water!!! Thanks have a great week!! In the bloopers Sarah said "Get a puppy, it will be fun" with a bit of doubt. I was dumb enough to get a puppy in my 60's!! Glad now, but boy what a ride.
Ahaha sometimes it feels like the best idea we ever had and other times…we question our sanity 🤣
My favourite getaway of a Sunday evening. We are ready for a bit of spring coming as well! It has been like an endless autumn, stormy and rainy. Love the new art work as well, the meticulous shading of every little plinth and rooftile reminded me a bit of Seurat. The patience it must require!
Hi guys! we've been loving watching your videos and it's so lovely to see Nori settling in so well. Being from Prince Edward Island, Canada, I enjoy it when it's -3C. Great walking temperature, but I would have traded your day with mine this past weekend. We don't usually get a huge amount of snow but we had a freak storm that brought around 85 cm of snow. Places are still closed down and plows still on the roads. It was so bad at one point, all the plows were pulled off the roads. We had our "storm" chips so we were prepared. 😀 I guess you get more rain and we get more snow. It was nice to be cozy warm inside and watching You Tube videos and dreaming of bare ground which we've had pretty much so far except for a few light snow storms. Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia is in a state of emergency because they got way more than us. You should check out some of the videos and news reports on You Tube. Hard to believe until you see it. Take care and looking forward to the next video! Sending hugs to the doggies!
