  • Henna and Ayurvedic Haircare Expert Khadija is reacting to Doro Cubillo trying Fenugreek and Cassia on her hair! Doro tries a 7-day Fenugreek Challenge to see if there is any difference in the health and length of her hair, and it is....quite interesting to say the least! Khadija also reacts to Doro trying a Cassia treatment (which she refers to as neutral henna) to see how her hair reacts. But how did Khadija react? Watch and find out!

This was so cute! I've been doing fenugreek masks lately and I love the maple syrup smell too, lol. My little son snuggled up next to me on my pillow (which has super absorbed the smell) and goes "Mmmm, Mommy your pillow smells like honey!" 😂

For some reason the smell to me is a tad more like brown sugar. I thought maple syrup too until I used brown sugar again and was like that's it!! Hahaha 🤣

Fenugreek 💯 absolutely smells like Maple syrup. I love it. And I do soak the seeds in water and blend it with the water, strain and add to whatever other herbs in using. Sometimes I soak the seeds and drink the water, and blend the seeds with additional water. IDK why she's using milk??? Coconut milk, maybe, but regular milk?? Give her some lessons, Khadijah! And Happy Ramadan

I don't know about anyone else's hair, but for my afro texture hair, using Aloe Vera powder, or Fenugreek is not enough, to condition my hair. I have tried both. I must use some kind of conditioner on my hair after using any kind of Ayurvedic on it.

Thanks for sharing. Thought about trying fenugreek powder or the Goddess Hair powder to make my henna mix nourishing instead of drying. Guess I'll stick to molasses instead.

Ohhhhh I love her! She’s such a sweet person.
I love your Henna products! The goddess powder has left my hair so soft and the henna+indigo has increased the thickness of my hair. For the longest time I was so sad because my hair would break constantly. I’m so thankful to have found your channel and brand. Thanks for the information!

I make my fenugreek paste the same way but I use oil instead of milk and use it as a prepoo. No way would I use it for a week straight on my 4C hair

I used your Ayurvedic scalp root mask today. This brings out the best in my curls. As you suggested I use the Ayurvedic herbs every other week. And the Ayurvedic hair oil on the week I don’t use the herbs. My hair looks great. Thank you for that advice. Thank you.

I saw this awhile back, I think the horrid smell comes from the milk she is using.
also it is probably from the supermarket ethnic aisle and been sitting for a long time. i have noticed some times it does smell like maple other is can smell kinda barfy.

  • @rebeccacannabidragonhogan9545

I've been doing a similar fenugreek treatment for a few weeks now but I don't put any milk in it, I just let the fenugreek seeds sit overnight in the warm distilled water and then blend it all up, strain it through some cheese cloth, or a nut milk bag, and used that as a treatment! Smelled amazing to me lol. I get a brown sugar smell from it more than a maple syrup smell. Fenugreek and Aloe vera gel?!? Awesome mask also!! 😷

I was told by a Middle Eastern nurse, I worked in a hospital for 15 years, to make a tea with purple onion skins, I have and my treatments come out more browner! Also, for blonde hair what do you think about adding Rhubard powder form and a chamomile and marigold tea!

Curly Proverbz when talking about fenugreek, she said that it would have a different smell according to your genetics. From a maple smell to a spicy smell. I think it smells like Indian curry. 😊❤

Oh wow ! I actually had no idea of that. That's interesting. I guess I'm team maple syrup. I grew up in Canada (lots of maple syrup) so maybe it's that.

Serious question: natural thinning greying hair, limp, no volume except mid shaft to ends, want to be curly but won't full send, can't retain moisture hair...
I want to venture into this; but so afraid of loosing my hair, what would you recommend?

I made a fenugreek mask I had so much leftover I used it on my daughter's hair the next day and it did stink. But not when I first applied it.

I don't know if it's the capacity of perceptive smells is different for everyone, but some people loves the smell some others don't. says fenugreek smells spicy or maple syrup... anyway some people says it smell bad cause they can't stand the smell at all.
for me personally it smell spicy (perhaps because I don't know how maple syrup smells like) I don't have any problem with the smell and my hair loves it🥰

That barf smell definitely comes from the milk. Made that mistake recently myself. Should've used coconut milk instead or just oil and water.

That's probably the only thing I don't like especially with henna for hair color..I can't wait days before deep conditioning . The color may be affected but my hair will start being brittle and I don't always have the henna soon Co wash ... How long can one wait before we can use our birthday discount code?
