here in India after applying henna , we let it sit for an hour and wash with just plain water. when still damp we apply plain coconut oil from the root to the ends. A light application. Oil traps the color and the moisture in the strands. also we dont wash the hair for atleast 2 days after the oil application. This intensifies the color. Since most Indians have black hair it is very common to add Bhringraj powder to henna as Bhringraj by itself gives a black color and added to henna intensifies black color. Bhringraj is also a plant and grows wild near any riverbed or marshy area. This is just a tip for someone who has natural black hair.

I thought there was an enormous difference! You could see that her hair was far more silky and smooth. When she let's down her hair in the "before", it was undeniably gorgeous. That said, by comparison, having seen how smooth, and perfectly the strands lay flat and as one in the "after", you could see how much more puffy, frizzy, and in poorer condition her hair was in the "before". One never would've noticed it if one had only seen the "before". But the difference was massive and striking when seen in direct juxtaposition. I hope she does continue with the treatments. I suspect she will see a beautiful result over time.

Khadija. Here is a tip for those who do the 2 steps hair coloring with henna and Indigo. You probably know it, but I am posting here just in case. So, in the first step I combined henna, indigo, and amla. The second step I combined indigo and yogurt. The yogurt made a whole lots of difference. It made the indigo works its wonders and my hair became totally dark. And even when I washed with shampoo, I don't see the blue color coming out in the shower like before when I just used indigo by itself. It's amazing. Especially for those who hate their grey hair.

I'm not going to get into the whole explanation of why and how because I don't want to say something wrong but if you search it up you actually shouldn't put it on your'e scalp, and in India they usually do not apply it to the scalp but only to the ends of the hair. Interesting, I always let cassia "rest" for at least 12 hours (24 is max) and I put there some citrid acid (half teaspon for 100g powder). After that I just have a lot more colour from powder and it's much more sricked to my hair. I mix it with henna because I want more Ginger, deer colour than red or after a lot of treatment even a brown or burgundy.
I never use any conditioner, any shampoo after herbs treatment because I want a stronger colour, and a colour need time (24-48h sometimes indygo needs more) to show up.

Applying from top to bottom, like a pineapple 🍍 😋 helped me. I just twisted my top crown section on top, then just continue to wrap sections from bottom to the top until it's all pilled on top of my head. I use a dye brush to apply and gloves, how I would apply hair dye. It keeps my bathroom fairly clean. But HolisticHabits has such long hair I'm not sure that it would even help. With that much hair I'd say just get it on there...she's a Houdini of hair!!! 😝😅💕💕💕💕💕💕

Just tried Cassia for the first time today and let's say it was very strengthening from the immediate it touched my hair . So I immediately added glycernin and aloe juice in addition to the fenugreek water I had in it . I was hoping this mask would strengthen my. Hair overall and prevent thinning and split ends due to my anaemia. Will try again in about 2 weeks.

Yes cassia and henna can also both loosen the curls some. It may be something you like to see. We have clients that both love to maintain their curls and some who want some loosening effects.

When I mix henna powder I add
    Amla oil or amla powder
    Egg
    And red tea
    Some honey
    Leave it for overnight
Next morning put it on for 3 hours
When wash wash it with only water.

Does dying hair with a chemical dye after cassia looks the same as dying hair after henna? Does it turn green after lightening?
    P. S. I mean, I know henna doesn’t turn green, I’ve been using henna for like ten years, but now I’m growing out my natural hair which is dark kinda ashy blond and I’ve heard that after cassia if I want to lighten the hair it may turn green or orange. Please advice

Can you use cassia if you die your hair? I know that henna is not recommended if your use chemical dye, but what about cassia (since it is not henna)?
I have naturally dark blonde hair, but I am dying it to light blonde, but mostly the roots when they grow bigger to not damage my hair that much.
I was wondering about cassia a lot (I don't mind getting warmer blond), but I don't want to have problems with dying my hair in the future.

    • @HennaSooq
      @HennaSooq  Před 3 lety +6

The grit is probably from the herbs not fully coming out of the hair! Try using a conditioner or one of our co-washes to help get it fully out! If it still feels gritty after doing it once, do it again in the same wash process.
