Pressure Washing & Soft Washing A Concrete Tiled Roof, Cambridge.
Hi everyone, welcome to another Sunday night video of one of the jobs I carry out during the week for my external cleaning business.
On this video, I turned up to this roof cleaning job after quoting online, and was expecting it to be nice and easy, as roof cleaning goes. My mistake was saying that out loud and tempting fate. The first day went relatively smoothly, but on the second day, mother nature decided to teach me a lesson, and the heavens opened, all day long. So what should have been quite a nice, easyish job, turned into quite a hard, miserable slog, as I worked through the extremely wet day to get the job done.

Good lord, that fact that you work your ass off, have a huge recurring customer base is proof of the quality of work you perform. Screw the naysayers!!!!! The world seems to be full of armchair experts, I know a couple,,,,, when they start prattling on about how this and that is wrong I step back and offer to let them do it,,,,,,, it's amazing how quiet they suddenly become,,,,,, you're doing a great job and your bookings are all the proof you need, take care mate,,,

Regarding the people that claim we damage the roof.. you just want to clear the gutters and you will see the sand and dust that comes off these roofs with weathering

A cleaners job is surely not an easy one, some obstacles and drawbacks at every site. I like that you show all angles of the job. There is so much more involved than most realise. I try to comment every week on your videos along with a thumbs up to help your channel grow. I see nothing damaged by you at any time. Just from a logical perspective, why would any homeowner voluntarily pay for a service if it damaged their roof?! 🤷♀ Makes absolutely no sense! Ignore those comments! Wonderful result as usual.

That was an interesting video. I had no idea that roof tiles were coated.
I’m surprised it isn’t done entirely with chemicals just to make it easy like in the US. I suppose that type of roof may not respond to chemicals only. Either way what you do looks amazing. Well done.

Gotta love when people pretend to be experts and disparage your work. They have no idea how things work. What do they think all that dirt and moss is going to do to the roof? 🙄 That coating goes away with the weather. You always do an amazing job Nick. What kind of nozzle did you use on the garage? I was neither a turbo nor a fan nozzle, the form of the water looked like a hand fan. I guess it's less powerful than a turbo so you don't damage the rubber?

The lichens are very slowly consuming the roof, cleaning it off and giving it the hypo treatment is stopping that, at least for a while.. Not hurting the roof at all.. 😊👍

7:48 Mi Tower makes them plastic instead of metal so people will have to constantly replace the parts. 🙂 I could never do your job, I'm afraid of heights since I was 15 and my brother was 11 and pushed me off the garage roof and landed flat out on my stomach with the wind knocked out of me. Me, my sister (13) and brother used to jump from the garage roof to a 12 foot high mountain of solid dirt from my dad and his brothers digging out the foundation for the garage. That knocked the wind out of me! 🤕🤢🤮

Another great video buddy. Can I ask, whether you’d advise on getting a boiler for the pressure washer.
It depends what you're planning on doing with it. Roof, patio and driveway cleaning, you don't really need heat. I only use my boiler when cleaning bricks, like ivy tendril removal, or graffiti removal

hai Nick, the "tale of destroying" is started by ignorant cleaners.. they say that they are "professional", but i have seen these guys at work. really HIGH pressure, up to 400 bar. and than with older roof tiles... hmmm... at least there is damage... I just realised you hypo your roofs. How come you don’t biocide and when it comes to hypo’ing roofs, if it’s a dry day, are you rincing it all off after or letting it stay?

I feel your pain a little bit on being soaked. Had to be out all day at various things for my son it chucked it down ALL day mostly torrential. Firstly could I heck as like get parked anywhere near where I needed to be so once I unloaded my wheelchair put it back together then wheeled too the appointment I was drenched, they were running late so sat drenched for 2 hours. Back to car unbuild wheelchair (powerchair not foldable) load into car then off to next thing and nope didn't get parked nearby so whole process again and then sit a further 3 hours (a Closing down of his respite party for the kids). The repeat process back to car and home. However at least I was indoors for a lot of it albeit in drowned rat mode 😂😂😂 better than working outside hence only feeling your pain a little bit. Anyway motormouth here will shut up and send love and hugs from soggy oop North (non stop rain since Wednesday here pretty much). 🤗
Oh dear, your day sounded worse that mine Polgara. I honestly think sitting down drenched, and not moving much, is way worse than moving around and being covered up with waterproofs. When i'm moving around, even though i'm wet, i'm still relatively warm. Even if you were indoors that must have been horrible.
