You should have kept going regardless of the Karen neighbor. Yes stop and address his "issues" but once explained and he then KNOWS his "Issues" Are total BS made up as an excuse to be mad, press on. If he assaults you great you get money and he gets jail time. People today have a terrible case of "Real Player 1" Which is to say they all think reality is based around them and what they want or need and we are all NPCs who must bend to the main characters will.... Some people just like being pissed off all the time. They're always looking for something to be angry about. I was a photographer and stonemason for years. Most people are thankfully entirely reasonable. There's just no pleasing the rest.

Glad you got a break with a day of real sunshine. You said it wasn't very dirty...true in the sense of not being black with algae, etc. but any moss cleanup makes a lot of sludge, that you did have. Figured the bricks would take more sand than normal, after moss removal and some larger gaps. A big area. (Go Pro's seem intolerant of heat, anywhere.) A good looking final result.
