wow! did not expect that color roof.
Me either!
Me neither
Lol, neither did I, these types of tiles are normally grey 🤷🏻
Looks great, Nick! Glad the client spent the money to address it, as it makes such a huge difference on how the house looks!
Great work. The light brown roof completely changed the look of the house! It's incredible how dirty it was. Maybe there used to be a tree there or something because that was a lot of moss. The cleanup part of these jobs looks so exhausting.
No worries about not recording the grass cleanup. Time is money and your clients are the priority. Nice job.
Fabulous job. The roof looks beautiful and the area around the bungalow looks cleaner than when you started. I feel for you having to work in extreme conditions. I believe that with the weather and the daylight conditions along with the large amount of moss on the roof - years of growth or extreme shade - it was best to turn the project into a two-day job. Great decision as it is best to always practice "Safety First" and error on the cautious side to end the day in the same condition as you started the day. Excellent work!
Oh Nick I feel your pain. I'm of the age now that I'm at risk of putting a hip out just by getting off the sofa too quickly.
Stunning job, looked good as new!! thanks for the upload, have a great week :)
Sleeping injuries also suck.
Hey Al. Lol, yeah you wanna hear me get out of bed in the morning after a hard day, lots of grunts and groans until my body loosens up a bit. I'm dreading what i'm gonna be like when I retire 🤦🏻♂️😁
Have a great week too mate ❤️
What a transformation bud, didn't expect that, bet the customer was well chuffed, as always great job and thanks for sharing 😎 👊
Who would have guessed that the roof was that color? Excellent job as always!
There is no way I would have guessed that the roof was a beige color. I thought it was black, even with the moss removal. Outstanding job. Although I feel slightly guilty...you said sit back and relax while you worked your tushie off, and I did...with a bag of popcorn 🍿 Sorry. ☺ Looks fantastic, Nick. Another great job. Thanks for sharing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wow!!! What a difference, never expected the roof to be that color! Love the Gabion walls too! Nice job. 😊 Maybe there were trees back there at one time but since been removed???
Thanks so much! 😊
I like how you always make everything neat and tidy at the end and ensure your clients privacy too. I wonder how long it had been since that roof was cleaned ? You made it look brand new ! Break out the Tiger Balm for those aches and pains ! ☺️
I would never in a million years have guessed that the roof was light coloured. What a difference
Nick, it doesn't matter how long it takes you to complete the job, as long as it is financially viable for you and you continue to put out an excellent finished product all is good! And remember you are working alone.
Hi Nick from a VERY snowy oop Norf 😮
Wow when you said the roof was 'bad but not that bad' I was expecting grey roof tiles to appear from under the muck and moss NOT light yellowy brown ones 😮😮😮
Wonderful job as always 😊
Hope you and your family are doing well (and healthy in this miserable weather).
Have to admit now I am in a wheelchair with occasional crutch I DO NOT like snow. Had to go out in it on Friday to my daughter's graduation for Uni. Yeah roads were terrible, event was a huge disappointment so I had a Very upset daughter at the end and then it snowed even more 🤦🤦 hope you have had a lovely weekend xx
Same I wasn not expecting that colour change.
Hey Polgara, lol I was expecting the same, these types of tiles are nearly always grey like you said, but a few tiles in, and I was the same, whah they're yellow/brown! 😆
We're very well thanks, so sorry to hear your daughters graduation was effected by the snow, and was a disappointment for you all. And on top of that having to get around in the snow being in a wheelchair must be really difficult for you at times.
I'm really sorry, for my lack of response to your last comment too, you said your trying to give up smoking, I hope that's going well. I gave up 10 years ago, it was one of the toughest things i've ever done. I used to really enjoy smoking as well, especially after a meal, or when having a drink. I gave up then started again, but then succeeded on my second attempt, and i've never looked back. Keep going, you can do it, I believe in you ✊
Have a great week too, bug hugs, Nick
This was one of the nicest pressure washing jobs and patio cleanup. The weather looked dismal on the first day.
Thanks so much, so kind 😍
Wow. That is an incredible difference! The roof looks awesome ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Couldn’t believe the color of the roof when cleaned. WOW! Looks new again.
Hahahaha... I never, in a million years, would have thought that roof would be yellow! What an incredible difference!!!
I smiled when you said it isn't awful and I thought no....then I saw that it wasn't roof, but a brown one. Great job.
Wow! That transformation was amazing👏. You must have been so cold but you still did the best job👍
Wow! Never expected such a light color to emerge! But that explains the amount of junk that you had to collect in the end.
I thought it was going to be a brown roof. Who’d a thunk it would be light red or tan. Hard to tell but so nice.
Hey Nick, I’m feeling it too. At 57 I moved almost 3 hours north from Melbourne Australia to a little country town that sees more sunny days than just about anywhere else in Australia.
Melbourne had miserable damp winters that I suffered through because of a disability.
I now only get 4-6 weeks of the year that you would call cold but still sunny during the day.
Maybe you need to move to Australia?😂
Smart move 🙂 Sounds like I need to make that road trip north as well 😬
Don't tempt me 😆
@@PrestigeExternalCleaning I live on an acre on the edge of town, and can walk home from the pub along the river. Morning walks with all the birds and bunnies and Roos hopping about. I came for a visit and ended up staying 😂
@@Jaydaydesign Sounds like a little slice of heaven 💕
That was one dirty roof! Great job!
Aw thanks Colleen 💕
😂 At least you have a sense of humor Nick. I would not know where to begin with all that muck.. lol That is where your experience kicks in. Great job, as always, it looks awesome!
In western Washington State we get weather a lot like yours. Winter is usually drizzling rain with occasional snow. Love the occasional sunshine!
Excellent Sir Nick! 🇬🇧
This bungalow is stunning, thanks to your professional work.
As for your back and knees, please consider getting chiropractuc adjustments. A good chiropractor will make you feel like a new man.
Sending much love to you and your family🇺🇸
Nicely done during at least one day of miserable weather. Turned out great! Stay safe out there.
Amazing job Nick! From starting the job I would never have guessed the roof was that colour. It is transformed 🙌
great job. mother nature doesn't calm the storm for anyone. all the mess got cleaned up good. in time the mossy stuff on the grass will disappear. don't get ill being in the weather like that.
Thank you Nick for teaching me a new word: Copious never heard that before lol
Never would I ever imagined that roof color 😆. Also looks like you may done this a time or two too. Have a good week Nick.
Hi LuAnn, so sorry I missed this, thank you so much as always ❤️
Really nice job! That was hard work!
So kind of you, huge thanks ☺️
Fantastic job. Who knew that roof was such a pale colour! Excellent results 👏👏👏
Thank you very much Mishka ❤️
Excellent job Nick, absolutely amazing!!! The best pressure washer channel on CZcams!!! I hope your channel continues to grow
Thanks so much mate, what a awesome thing to hear, and very much appreciated ❤️
Hi Sir Nick, Winter arrived in Montreal on Sunday as well. (It is early Mon Morning here now) It snowed for the first time yesterday and still going on at this hour (3:37am) That was a massive project. I imagine that roof had been growing for a very long time to get that far gone, yes? Well Done.
Доброго вечера Ник! Самые теплые пожелания)❤
Просто колоссальная разница- так замечательно очистили крышу а главное внизу еще все убрать нужно…. Отличная работа!👍
Great job as usual Nick, wait till you get to my age mate, (64) knee's back elbows wrists hands all knackered but still working hard in the pressure washing game lol 😉
Blimey mate, I don't think my body's got another 20 years left in it bud, it's a tough old game at times as i'm sure you know, big respect for still going strong at 64 ✊. Thanks for the great comment 👍
It's rare we see a roof like that and a patio so pristine. Good show catching it up.
Fantastic job Nick
Cheers dude, much appreciated 👍✊
That real time footage was really cool. Awesome video with amazing results m8.
Finally a little down time, and there you are!! My dear don't apologize for feeling your age, you do such a splendid job inspire of that!! The difference in the roof color is amazing. So enjoyed this video as always! All the best to you and yours Nick, be well young man and enjoy your day off!! Big hugs from Katy Texas 😊
Wow that was a lot of moss. Roof looks great!
Oh my goodness, an unbelievable, amazing absolutely brilliant job. Take care, big hugs from Australia 🥰🦘
Thank you Marie ❤️
Good morning Nick ! You saying that black spot looks horrible kind made me laugh because the roof looked black to begin with 😂. Do you just trash all that moss? Fantastic job 😊👍
Hey Randi, lol yeah you make a fair point about the spots 😆. I take the moss back to my little yard, let it pile up, then eventually pay for disposal. Thanks for the great comment, big hugs 🤗
Great job Nick sorry i could not be there to help you 🤣but hey enjoy your day off !!! 😛🤣
Looks great! The moss was really bad in the front. I didn't expect to see such a light color underneath. Just a thought, would it make clean-up easier if you scraped the large bits of moss off first into the drain, so they fall into one spot? Then what was left would be taken care of with the cleaning. Obviously, an extra step, but thought it might be worthwhile to not make the clean-up so hard. I agree, the older we get, the less stamina we have to do some of the things we use to, I feel your pain as well. Take care and looking forward to the next one. 💛
Holy 💩! Moss aside, the staining was so bad, it doesn't even look like the same roof anymore!!
That was an awesome job done. What a difference 🙌❤️
Thanks so much 👍
Looks great. You really are a hard worker. I don’t know how you do it alone!
That was a mammoth clean up. Great to see the whole job not just the roof clean. Did all the blackspot on the front come off? Well done.
Hey Ched, thanks mate. Unfortunately not, probably got rid of maybe 95% though 👍
Wow...what a difference. Cannot tell it is the same roof
Nick, would you ever consider a live Q&A evening?
I've never really thought about it 👍
You certainly earned your money there. I hate that drizzly rain, it seems to get everywhere. Your hands must get frozen.
Nice one, Nick! Hi from Oz. I've been watching your videos for some time and really appreciate the expertise you put into your work. You're a legend, mate! 💪🏻 👍🏻
Thanks dude, that means a lot ✊
Cracking job Nick
Nice one mate ✊
That black flat roof looks wonderful next to your job. How do they do that there? Impressive job.
Looks excellent, Nick! Nice work.
Thanks Chad, much appreciated mate 👍
Really nice work Nick. I thought maybe the roof was grey and was so surprised to see it come out that beautiful tan color. The back part of the roof was kinda weird with the two tone colors but still was beautiful in the sunlight. Lots of hard work there, but you did it! 😁 Take care of yourself kiddo and I will see you on the next one! Happy Holidays! 🎅
Glad you liked it Nancy, thanks for your super kind words as always ❤️. Take care too, and have a wonderful Christmas and New Year 🥰
Great vid 👍
Cheers Dave 👍
Great job ❤, you always do a fine job.
Great job well done Nick 👏
I'm sorry, you said, "You little...what? It bleeped out. LOL Merry Christmas
great job
I love the way you do you!!!
Another fabulous job. thank you for sharing. 👍
Thank you! Cheers Andy 🙂
Amazing results. Fantastic job
So amazing. Fantastic job
Thank you so much 😀
Nice finish 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Fantastic work Nick. Nice colour on the tile. How come you didn't use a fsc instead of the turbo nozzle on the flat tile? I just bought my roof cleaning pole with fsc etc. Looking forward to getting it to work.
Thanks, Paudie
Blimey, I really thought "huh, he's exaggerating about the moss"
Was not expecting that colour tile.
Question, where do you get rid of the bagged dirt/moss etc?
Lol, thanks mate 👍, yeah I was surprised at the colour too, as these tiles are nearly always grey. I take the moss back to my little yard, let it pile up, then eventually have to pay for someone to come and collect it 👍
Красота!!!!
👍👍👍.Thanks
Cheers dude
Good job! I was suprised at the color when clean :O
Would you say that in your line of business: prepping/securing is 1/4, executing is 1/4, and cleaning and packing up is 2/4 of the time?
Just started "gardening a bit" on a larger scale as usual and found prepping and cleaning to take quite some time :)
Thanks and cheers.
for some reason this is interesting to me.
Wonderful work ❤ I also love the calm music.
Did you have to use more chemical with the X-Jet? Through all the foam it looks like quite much.
Hi Tatjana , sorry don't know how I missed this question. I actually think i used less because it comes out so foamy, I seemed to get much better coverage. Such a shame a can't use it more often on roofs. Many thanks ☺️
You can see where the water runs off the lead flashing no moss grows. Same or better result if it were copper. I've seen copper added to the ridge to lessen the growth on the roof. My shingles are impregnated with copper for this poupose.
Hi Mate that’s very hard work. I recently developed tendinitis in my shoulders. The only lasting relief I credit to CZcams Physical Therapist where I learned excerise . Lean on table let arm dangle and swing w weight in hand . I got relief in just a few days w 10 min daily effort.
I take glucosamine contortion for my knees and back it is the fluff replacement needed and the oil for the hinges take a constant regular usage to build up what is needed. One day you will find that the bone on bone grinding is gone. it is graduale and one day it is like Hey I don't hurt. I had rheumatic fever as an adult settled in both knees then rheumatoid arthritis in my spin and hips so I understand the issue with limits.
The fascination of watching this is the US does not have that type of roofs or driveways or patios they are so pretty and well fascinating
Hey @drusabs, many thanks for the recommendation, I take fish oil, Manuka honey, and various other supplements to help with my joints etc, but am always on the look out for anything else that might help, so a huge thank you for the glucosamine advice 🤜🤛 ❤️
I bet the owners were shocked… probably had to go out and get the roof painted charcoal to match their decor 😂
😊
Wow, I never would have guessed that the roof was yellow! Great job as always, are you still getting an assistant in the new year?
Thant's the plan 🤞, many thanks Patty ❤️
Good luck with finding someone 🙂
Hey Nick! I loved the XJet for the roof! It’s so satisfying to see it covered in hypo, all white and smooth… 😊 You never talk about your family, do you have kids? A partner? Just curious 😊
Many thanks Shans 💕. Yes i'm married to a lovely lady called Lisa, and I have 3 beautiful kids, Sam 13, Isabelle 10, and my youngest Oscar is 5. Thanks fore asking 😊
Nick & now I believe its snowing.
Here in NZ its just wet & yuk not early summer weather.
Nick what do you do with the shoveled up muck?.
Hey Andrew, I hope you're well mate. I take all the muck back to little yard, let it pile up, then pay someone to come and collect it when it starts taking up too much space 👍
Nick not to bad but like you I'm feeling my age, I'm a bit older than you, but still have loads to do plus being full time carer for my 92+ year old Dad.
Can you buy them extension pipes for karcher pressure washer
Dunno mate, i've only ever had Honda or Briggs & Stratton PW's.
The change in color on the roof was really dramatic. How long does it take for a roof to get that bad?
Thanks Molly 🥰. It can vary depending on the surroundings, like overhanging trees for example. But on average, in the UK anyway, you'll start to see noticeable growth after 10-15 years. I don't know for certain, but I would say this roof was at least 40 years old, and i doubt it's ever been cleaned before 👍
Odd question I know.
Can you tell me where you got your broom from please
Many thanks
Sure, no probs. It's a B&Q own brand one, I think they're about £20 👍
Great job Nick never heard you moan as much in any other video 😂😂 must of been one of those days we all get 😂
🤣🤣🤣 , that's putting it mildly mate 🤣😍
you should get a helping hand, much easier when you have young ones doing the hard work for you ;)And you can do your jobs quicker.
That's the plan for next year 👍
Do you have a video that describes the equipment you use in your daily work? I am interested in the extension pole used to power wash.
