  • How to GET OVER your ex being with someone else | How to deal when your ex MOVES ON and you haven't!
If you're wondering how to get over your ex moving on, or how to cope when an ex moves on, then this video is for you. Watching an ex move on with someone else, and more specifically, watching your ex move on quickly after your relationship has ended can be extremely painful. It can feel like a personal betrayal when your ex moves on with someone else, and can make us feel as though we were not enough, or that this new person must have something that we don't. In this video, I discuss how to get over your ex being with someone else, how to deal when your ex moves on and you haven't and also share more general advice for someone struggling after a breakup. Through accepting your emotions for where they are at, and allowing yourself to move at your own pace, true healing is more than possible.

Normally the loyal ones take a while to heal, while the other ones start dating again right after. If that happens, it just shows you were wasting your love on someone who didn’t really love you back.

Yup, usually when someone leaves and jumps around first it means that person wasn’t very invested emotionally and always knew a way out from you and the relationship. These people are so deceptive because they play roles for short times and rinse repeat on the new person. Alot of people are so obsessed with cupcake phases and perfectionism they’ll jump from person to person to get it, sometimes it really isn’t you and just the other person’s mindset or lack of. We all have taken someone for granted once.

They’ve ALREADY had “the new one” ready to go…very very few breakups where an ex is moving on with someone else quickly ALREADY WASNT in the works behind your back…a lot of times it’s the signs of Narcissistic tendencies/behaviors of having a new supply lined up before ditching the old supply…been there done that, RESPECT YOURSELF enough to work on you be the best person you can FOR YOURSELF God Bless 🙏😇

Everyone has their own length of the relationship, level of intensity, ability to detach, every story is different. I know it’s hard to imagine a future without the guy you had planned your entire life with already. You are mourning the future you had in your head with him and now that he is gone you feel empty and loss. I still get like that some days. What has helped me is revisiting the goals I had before I met him. I started to ask myself again what I wanted in life and stopped putting some guy next to me. The right person I’ll find along my journey. It’s hard and don’t feel the need to wake up one day and have it all figured out. Experiencing these lows really make you appreciate all the highs even if it’s a good laugh with friends.

@@Jessie0894 I'm so sorry to hear that. Well, it's been 8 months since the break up, some days I feel totally fine and then others I feel like I'm back to square one and it hurts as if it had just happened (but those days are getting more and more rare, so yay!). What's helped me the most has been to just focus on myself and surround myself with people who love me and not be scared of being a bit more selfish than usual. And most importantly, cutting my ex from my life completely, even though we broke up on really good terms. Seeing him just brings all the memories back, it makes me want to live in the past and it gives me some false sense of hope. So yeah, learn from my mistakes and put your well-being first. :) I hope you are surrounded with love and you heal as quickly as possible. ♥️

You know what, this is one of the best input I've heard about this topic. Some just focus on the idea of focusing on one's self. But it's so difficult to do if you are going thru something like this. But you connected the gap between being in a miserable state and focusing on self -- that is accepting first of the pain of the situation and being okay with hurting and the process.
I started crying when you were stating the affirmations at the end. Thank you for being a medium to people who needs to hear these like myself.

Awww big *hugs* to you!! Thank you so much for such lovely feedback, I’m so happy to hear my message resonated with you. But yes, for some reason society has seemed to adopt this toxic positivity culture that encourages people to bypass their pain and deny the reality of their experience/emotions. I think attempting to do this is extremely damaging and doesn’t truly help people heal in the long-term. It’s learning to truly surrender into our pain, accept it and care for it that the magic happens! 💕

I’m so sorry to hear this has happened to you. Finding out there was cheating is SO painful, because it makes you question the entire relationship and whether or not your perception of what you had was ever even true. Ugh, so so tough. Healing from this one will likely take some serious time, so please be patient with yourself. Please know that what this guy did is NOT a reflection of you, nor did he do this because you lacked in any way. He’s got some serious character flaws, and trust me when I say you do not want someone who is capable of doing something like this (as in, capable of lying and cheating on his partner of 5 years) as someone to walk the path of life with. You deserve so, so much better. Please know that you are loved ❤️

It’s amazing that you recognize your unresolved feelings are entirely to do with your own wounds around abandonment, as opposed to your ex themself. Have you ever heard of the term “shadow work” in relation to therapy? If not, I would check out Rising Woman’s Instagram page, as this is something they talk about a lot. I’m pretty sure they run online courses as well! Participating in something like that may help you to really get to the root of those abandonment fears and allow you to bring understanding and healing to them.

Just had a breakup yesterday which I initiated. It was just to much toxic behavior which brought out my toxic behavior and my insecurities and fears to the max. I know he will run to someone or anyone else probably even already so this video is just what I needed to remind myself it’s ok. Thank you for the mature way you presented the facts and everything you advised. I will be subscribing now. 😊

this this this. We were together three and a half months (high school relationship) and while she initiated the breakup, I was *this* close to ending it myself. She just beat me to it. We were both pretty narcissistic and had little to give one another other than materialistic gifts. Her toxicity and trying to make herself out to be so much better than everyone else made me feel very insecure and not good enough for her (i mean, if nobody else is good enough for her, then why should I be?) which then brought out my toxic behavior of trying to put her down. Overall, awful, awful situation. We broke up on December 2 of '22 and now in March of '23 she has started dating the guy that she had a talking stage with a week before she started dating me over him because he was "too dull" for her. Now I feel like she's taking advantage of the fact that he will always be right there and easily exploited so she needs a date to the prom coming up next month, but it also seems like she's just moved way past me. Almost like she's saying "screw you, I was right the first time." It hurts, but I've got my own prom date and I'm leaving for college (she's a junior) in a few months anyway so it's not like I'll have to put up with it much longer but I still feel a stab in the heart whenever i see them walking together or her car parked next to his.

This is the worst situation to be in emotionally. I wish it was as easy to find people going through the same thing irl as it is to find on here. It would be so helpful to be around people going through the same thing to help eachother out and possibly find someone who is looking for the same thing you are. Most of us are looking for "the one" and our exes didnt have that in mind. Best wishes to you all and hope things better.

I know how hard it is - often times, it can get worse before it gets better, as all kinds of unprocessed feelings can come erupting up to the surface for our attention when our lives are especially still and quiet. If you think blocking him is the most loving decision for YOU, in that it may help the temptation to contact him etc, then I don’t think it was the wrong choice. That being said, moving on isn’t tit for tat. As I said in my video, it’s not a competition ❤️

My fear comes from the fact that I know I messed up.. He loved me deeply but then I became insecure and needy and desperate over stupid and immature stuff and that made him change towards me.
Now I'm faced with the reality of him being in love with this new girl and it hurts because I know how much love he can give to someone and that he is now giving that love to someone new.. someone who probably won't make the same mistakes I did.
I can't help but think that maybe if I had been a little more mature over the relationship, we would have worked out. I lost him and it was my fault, how do you deal with that?

    • @alejandraleija7024
      @alejandraleija7024 Před 4 lety +69

Inês L it’s not your fault at all! We go through ups and downs in a relationship and if they couldn’t deal with a down time with you, they weren’t the right person for you. You learn from this relationship and carry it into the next. Sharing insecurities with your partner is important and if they can’t handle understanding and talking to you about it I think you’ll find someone that will.

I think you’re being too hard on yourself. I just got broken up with too. But I’ve been in therapy for years, and my therapist talks about how we usually pick a certain type of person, and it’s based on a lot of things in our upbringing. I think it’s more likely to say that your ex will pick someone similar to you. You shouldn’t be thinking that the next person will be so different and better than you in some way. It’s also not good to keep thinking about what you did or didn’t do wrong. All you can change is the present.
And my instinct would be to ask yourself why were you feeling insecure with this person? I felt insecure with my ex. And that’s because he was lying a lot towards the end to me, and not answering phone calls or text for long periods of time. He was giving me reasons to worry and feel insecure. So it wouldn’t be fair to blame everything on myself. I hope some of this makes you feel better.

I found out through social media. I politely reached out to the new girlfriend and she blamed me and called me crazy. For the past year I was under the impression that we were working on trust and a strong foundation only to find out he has a new girlfriend. I am so crushed. This only happened Friday so I know that it is normal feeling. I just do not understand why he would do this. (we were together for 8 years prior to breaking up)

Love your videos. Can't say I agree with the "better fit" argument. If they were toxic, carrying trauma and were emotionally distant, NO ONE is going to snap a magic button and all of a sudden, they'll be the way you envisioned they could be. Just the same pattern with a different face. No if both were relatively healthy, aware, and willing to work at their relationships...that's different

    • @LanaTofu

True! He is toxic, with tons of trauma and emotionally distant when that trauma resurfaces. But he found someone who would suck it all in just to be with him as she was chasing him for over a year. So I'm pretty sure it's going to last, no matter how destructive he can be.
