Thanks for this video I was able to make a little more room on my GMC 2500 !
Only video I could find for a 2017 gmc!
This video answered all my diy questions ..except my truck is a 2016 z71 silverado...the set up is the same ( 6" RC lift on 33x12s toyos) very smooth but want to get 35s
This is what you gotta do to have a lifted truck and still fit in parking garages. I dont think its dumb to have to trim. It's kind of what you get for being a gm fanboy. My friend with a Ford has 35s on a level and I'm jelly. But not so jelly I'm getting a ford. F that. Thanks for the vid. Getting some forces of your website soon🔥😎
uhhhhhhhh. ok.
K
Thanks so much for this video. I showed this video to the guys at Mike’s Truck Toys in Pasadena TX and they removed the rubbing issue on my 15 Sierra with on 35s on a 3.5” lift. 👍🏻
They cut your bumper as well?
@@alexcardenas3244 No sir they only cut the back side of the inner fender
I just put 35's on a 3 inch level on my 12 sierra, need to cut for the mean time before I do the 4.5 spindles, how bad do you rub now?
How much did they charge you?
What do you guys use to prevent rust?
Good stuff as always!
Would that apply to a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 as well..?? I have a 4” lift up front running a 22x14 -76 on 305/40/22 Zeta Imperó tires
is that extra? or does it come with the wheels and tyres?
This is painful to watch
read mypost no kidding I couldn’t even watch it
How much is this service, I got a small rub but loving the look of my lift wheels and tires
I have a 2015 gmc with 35x12.5, 20x12 wheels and it only rubs on driver side? Any suggestions
That was Crazy. I'm not sure that I could do it. I love the 6in lift on that GM though.
Can you guys do this to my 2014 Silverado LTZ Z71 1500? Thanks
Will this fit 37s on a 17x8.5 wheel??
I have a 2016 ram 2500 4x4 have a zone off road 5.5 lift going on what would be biggest rim and tire to go on it?
I am looking at 20x12 with 35 or 37 x12.5 tires with out cutting which would be best?
Rod Murphy 35x12.5 on a 5.5 in lift you’ll clear for days . Dodge has some of the biggest wheel wells I’ve seen people run 35x12.50 on a level kit with no trimming and only rub backing in and out of driveways . Hell on a 3rd gen 1500 with a level kit 20x14s and 33s you barely rub. I’ve seen it first hand
Watt the fucc are u doin to my truck is what I'd be thinking 😂
How much does it cost to do all that
Im possibly getting a 14 sierra, the setup ill be doing is a 7 inch fts on 22x12s and 35 amp mud terrains or all terrains havent decided do you think nearly this much will have to be done?

Thanks guys!
Well I say you got to sacrifice to go with wide wheels. I think it was a great job.
Can you fit a 35/12.5/20 on a leveled 2014 Silverado 1500 when doing a NorCal mod???
Check our gallery out for fitment help Matthew! - bit.ly/2hheOI8
Would I have to do that with a 2 1/2 lift n level with a set of 33"× 11-12" on stock 17" rim? It's a future project for off road use so I need to make sure I'll have zero clearance/rub issues...
I have a 2015 on 33 11.5 20 or 295 55 20 i believe with leveling kit very little rub when backing and turning wheel full crank. Other than that it's all good.
Craig, check our gallery out for fitment help! bit.ly/2bPV7YK
VERY nice trim job. Trimmed my '09 silverado with my plasma cutter to fit 12 wides on a leveling kit, no regrets.
I had a Trim job that was great but a few people who have no idea was saying dumb shit like they took a blow torch it's like this is what they had to do to mine but not to the metal just to the plastic
Bout to do the same on mine but I’m putting 2 inch spacers on 12.50s
Looking to put on a 7" McGaughys with 20x10's and 35's on an 18 Silverado. Am I looking at much cutting? The McGaughys listing on your site says it should fit, but you never know...
At the most you might have to do some minor trimming but that shouldnt be a problem fitment wise.
Have you guys ever installed extended fiberglass fenders instead?
Not in this specific shop, but some of us have outside of the shop on personal vehicles/prior jobs!
Can you guys show a Norcal mod on Denali 2500hd with leveling kit or even stock height and 35's?
Check them out here on our gallery!
www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery?make=GMC&model=Sierra+2500+HD&order=year&suspension=Leveling+Kit&tire_height_from=35&tire_height_to=35&page=1
Do they make higher lifes for this same truck????
yes they do Tyrone, shoot us an email to info@customoffsets.com if you're interested in getting a bigger lift!
@custom offsets how much do you guys charge to do the NorCal mod??
Jordan Swanson I am wanting to know as well
Literally just did my own today. Not too bad to do it yourself. Didn’t find a decent tutorial until after I finished and was wondering if there was a way to trim more and keep the outside looking oem.
Man I’ve been watching your videos all day. Even read some comments. What I learned from all these videos and comments it’s basically only about looks . Is that correct or I’m seeing it differently. Here in Louisiana if you put on Mud Tires then you’ll be bogging in the swamps immediately. So not just for a “cool” but mostly aggressive looking and Will perform aggressively. Like
Interco / Super Swamper tires.
I mean on older trucks yea give it hell go at it, but this brand new truck makes me cringe 😭
716 eqz should be the other way around
Ice Breakers no it shouldn’t
just wondering how much does something like that cost If you let it get done somewhere
That’ll vary shop to shop, best bet is to ask your local to you body shop!
Nice work and nice truck! How much does this cost to have done?
Almost every shop rate is different, however if you are interested in having us do your NorCal mod, send an email to info@offsetsgarage.com and they should be able to get you a rough estimate!
Has anyone with a 1500 Silverado or GMC had any stabilitrax issues after a 6 inch lift?
Got the same truck and lift on some 24x14 on 35s. Can’t even turn my wheel a full turn. Looks nice though😂
Whats the offset on these wheels
Ill be attempting this soon on my new denali hd. Leveled gonna try to fit 22x14 on 33s 😨😨😨😨😨
Aaron Ortiz goin to do this on my Denali 24x14 on 37 on 10” still a lil rub 😭
I put a 6 inch on my 16 Silverado doesn’t matter that it was a rally 2 just stickers still looked cool. lol had to butcher it to fit 35’s 22 by12. Couldn’t even turn the wheels stock.
Couldn’t you add a few washers to the front bumper brackets to push it out a little more then remove the metal bracket behind the wheel well to push it back further and wouldn’t have to cut the front bumper?
Could, but it starts to look like a Jay Leno chin!
Custom Offsets ok thanks so much.
Cutting off pinch weld probably not the best idea. Get some rust in there and that’s separating real quick.
Should slice the pinch weld instead. Then bend it back.
Spray painting it black instead of white?
Agree completely.
If you ever get a chance, can you do one on a 88-98?
Victor Allen I asked a while back they just replied with keep trimming until it doesn’t rub. I trimmed my truck a while back to fit 35’s.
I had to do it to my 76
Where can I have this done if so I live in Los Angeles ????
Your best bet would be to check around local mechanic/body shops in your area if you do not have the tools to do it yourself!
Custom offsets how much does this NorCal run $?
@custom offsets
$70,000 truck and zip ties don't mix
Craftsmansteve any better ideas? I'm sure everyone would like to know
@@MrLouisGuertin don't do it... lol.
@@MrLouisGuertin yes. bigger lift.
@@MrLouisGuertin there's more than one way to skin a cat.
Yeah I'm going to want to ship mine to you guys. I have the same truck and there's no way I'm letting anyone in Virginia do this
Did you ever get the norcal mod done? I'm in VA looking to get this done on my 2020 AT4.
Should've done a bigger lift! 7-9in
Ricardo Moreira I'm with you on that one. For sure
Ricardo Moreira yep
I did the mc mcgaughys 7-9 on mine and set it to 8" and still have to trim I'm running the havok h109 22x12-44 on 35 its hits when coming out if the driveway or making a full U-turn
finally someone with some sense
Still have to trim dude. Unless the wheel clears the well at 10+ inches you have to norcal. Part of the game. Pay to play
No one has asked the question.... With this NorCal job, How much space remained when the steering wheel was cracked all the way in the front and the back?
about an inch or so, just enough wiggle room to clear!
@@CustomOffsetsTV thank you. I'm doing it right now as I type.
I see a lot of guys doing this to clear mine is a 15 silverado no lift and 33 no trimming will rub woth new tires but only on driveways now I plan to go 35 soon I know ill need to cut but don't know why everyone is having to lift as well mine dodnt need it one want to go long travel fiberglass and 40s but $ is holding me back right now
🤣 its one thing do it to my 07 avalanche another doing it to my 2015 hd which i have not even paid for lol this is just insane
I did this and I cut my sidewall on one side. I'm not mad. I don't have a grinder getting a harbor freight cut off tool and a dead blow and going back in there
6 inch lift 16 Silverado 22 -35 - 44 offsetting
Had to cut stock couldn’t even turn the wheel half way. Lol. All the mechanics at the Chevy dealer laughed at me. Until I told the tech that was working on my truck to cut it! He was like if it was mine I would have already done it. Lol
Yikes..I'd be hesitant to cut up a new truck..looks good though.
In the end... at least it looks good lol
Do a NorCal mod on the new 2019-2021 Sierra 1500
Could you not make a bracket for the front inner fender well to screw to instead of zip ties. Zip ties aren’t very professional to hold that in place.
Dudes are always trying to stuff huge tires on their trucks. 33's on 12 wides with a 6" lift is perfectly fine and will clear all day.
LOL GM wheel wells
Since y’all are so good at replying (y’all even reply to dummies like me) I have done my best to do research on this and talk to people on their build and I have gotten answers but not enough to conclude what I want to do to my 2011 duramax. This is what I want: I want to get the tis Offroad 544bm’s 20x12 and put them on 35x1250x20 tires without having to lift my truck more that 3 inches. If I do this mod to my truck with a 3 inch lift how do y’all think that will fit?
-44 offset on the rims by the way
Check our gallery out for fitment help Kolin- bit.ly/2Guttvm
Yeah, I'll let you guys do all that. Lol. Looks like a pain in the ass
Not gonna lie, that rear portion process looks like you were making it up as you went a long.
Erik Neumann they could of cut the pinch weld without all the hacking, then massage it back
its a 70,000 dollar Denali and enough was enough best line ever.
Next time show were it rubs then cut it then show the difference
at 0:30 you can see how bad the tire hits in the rear, and then at the end we show the clearance!
Thank God I’m from SoCal!!!
Wouldn't putting a lift on these trucks, "SILVERADO AND SIERRA'S cause stabilitrax issues? Maybe that's why they're not lifting them
We haven't had stabilitrax issues Christopher!
BDS is certified not to negative effect stabilitrac
Lord oh mighty 🙏
The ultimate sphincter tightener right here boys, but hey, if ya got the dough, sawzaw the f*ck out of it eh?
Not worth it ! But if u have it mines well
No intro music!!!
Wow I shed a tear watching this god lift the truck higher why chop a 70k truck like that.
Farm Lyfe broke my heart watching this...crazy..
Buncha monsters! 😤
So other than pieces missing. Lol what's the bad thing about doing this?
The cost, having to have a body shop modify and cut and reseal everything etc
Ouch
Be very careful who you hire to get the Norcal Mod especially tire shops because they always say they can do it buy 90% of the time they dont🤷🏽♂️💯
Good lord you guys are butchers
Joe Howell yeah it was a bit of a hack job
fuck! I just bought a 2017 SLT and i couldnt imagine hacking my body apart like this! I'd rather the odd rub on my fenders than possible rust down the road from this mod...
That was so stupid 😨 was a nice truck
Fuckin cut it and weld it. It has gotta be done!
I think that was painful...LOL...LOL You gotta do what you gotta do....LOL Customers are now going to say "you did what?"...LOL
Robert Kohut rightttt LOL!!
Oh my hackery! Should have just purchased a bigger lift 🤦♂️
Self tapping screws, zip ties and a group of men watching someone take a zawsall to a brand new truck. Someone has more money then brains
Zip ties and sawzalls 😬
Or just run 😳Smaller tires
Its a GMC so yes its a chevy
Damn square wheel wells, who thought that was a good idea?
What does a square wheel well have to do with the price of elephant poop ?
Wow I'm sure that spray paint will keep that raw steel from rusting for a long time. Please what a hack job. How bout lifting the truck higher. But for each there own.
So if they don't want a higher lift just tell them they are wrong... life is short man. Build want you want!
Y'all not the first to do this ... ur not supposed to cut the plastic piece ... ( you heat it up and fold it ) new truck keep it clean not make it look like ass!
Not $70,000
I wouldn't even do this to my Silverado 2012, I rather spent all that money in new stock headlights, new shocks and bed liner. You know necessary upgrades.
Think smart
All that hacking just to fit 20's on 35's? thats real shitty GMC..lol
Hack
Hell no!
Ooooh hell no... 🥴🥴🥴🥴
Why??? That's an audio shop hack. Do it the right way 🤦♂️
Christopher Martinez What’s the right way? Honest question
Clickbait
Hack job
No way in hell would i do this to a brand new truck....why not just put a wheel and tire on that fit....i mean its a brand new truck wtf
This is literally aids haha
