I don't understand why Spider-man 3 (2007) is considered a failure. I think it's very cool, and many people think the same.

Considering that my country Serbia was bombed by America and there was inflation then, I manage to collect money and watch this movie with such effects, with such sound at that time, I never enjoyed any movie more than then .

@@GodGod287 True, but McGuire has the same strength. He had a scene similar to Holland's cruise ship scene, except he was stopping an out of control train. Not to mention, but in No Way Home he was shown to disable Andrew's web shooter, and I would be willing to guess that Holland's wouldn't be that different.

@AbdulAzeem Shaikh Yeah, I think so too. Quick question, when Tom was hit in the face by a train, was he in his iron spider suit or his regular one? If he was in the Iron spider, that's what most likely saved his life. One thing though, I believe that Tom's cruise ship scene may be a bit to glorified. He fired many webs so he could attach them to reach other, only for every one of them to snap. Then Iron Man showed up to save the ship so ultimately, spider-man alone would have failed. On the other hand, Toby's webs were shown to have more strength and elasticity. Plus, McGuire succeeded in stopping the train before it fell off the incomplete track. When comparing the 2 scenes, I would say McGuire was most successful.

I don't understand why the amazing Spider-Man failed. It was the first spiderman movie I've ever watched and i loved it so much. I was like 12 at the time but it was the first american movie that got me so moved ( and a bit obsessed ) Gwen's death left me in TEARS and i even had a lil crush on Andrew... It's the movie that made me like spiderman, I've watched all of the others but I'm sure that without the amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man wouldn't have been my favorite super hero. Maybe i would have still liked the movies but not as much. The amazing Spider-Man really did something to my brain, i just loved everything about it so i still don't understand why it failed, am i the one who got weird taste or was it just unlucky?
I personally feel like the first series was a bit forced with tobey some of his scenes idk andrews series seems to have better acting imo and then of course the TH ones i think are acted well. Although in nwh tobey does a great job.

You don't have weird taste- but I realized that a lot of people's favorite of anything tends to happen right around their teenage years. When I first saw TASM, I think I was 13, but I grew up with Raimi's 3rd film in theaters, and I was obsessed with that OST among others. While I liked TASM 1, I honestly felt betrayed that Spider-Man 4 never came to be, mostly bc I had so much toys/memoribilia with THAT spider-man's design.
That being said, TASM 1 did get me into obsessively watching the video game walkthroughs that followed, and eventually ofc, TASM 2. It's an alright film, but I generally didn't like Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker- he just seemed too 'hot' to portray Peter Parker imo. And it seemed to suffer the same problems as Raimi's 3rd film, too many villains in one movie. Perhaps if it only had the goblin, we would have had a more fulfilling movie. It felt kinda rushed in some places, and the relationship between Harry and Peter felt very forced.

Except this video neglects to show some of the truly outrageous stunts that Fred Waugh(1970s spidey stunt double) performed for the series-like scaling the Empire State amongst others-shot with prototype 35mm Panavision Gopros-they still look impressive today-and are far superior to any of the CGI B.S we get today.

far from home and no way home is so well done as it proves the power of media in today's society. Spiderman is a hero yet the media only reports the superficial things instead of doing research.
This might be sort of an unpopular opinion but tasm movies were pretty good. Not the best certainly but I'd definitely watch them over ffh and homecoming not to mention that the intro scene of tasm 2 still gives me goosebumps. The suits looked futuristic specially the one in tasm 1. I personally feel garfield did a great job depicting Peter and it was comically accurate aswell to an extent, Jamie Foxx played electro so well, Hans Zimmer with BG music, the CGI is so much better than current MCU movies. Tasm 3 looks like a missed opportunity to me.
I think Sony wanted to highlight Spiderman's abilities in each movie franchise. Tobey used strength to beat villains, Andrew used science(brains) to beat his villains, and Tom used speed and agility(Spidey senses) to beat his enemies. Didnt notice it all until no way home when they threw easter eggs everywhere about Tobey being stronger, Tom being faster and Andrew being smarter
I think TASM is the type of film that some people will appreciate more as time goes on
They're still my favourite spiderman films...
Not just cos of Andrews performance, but the writing.
The dialogu feels natural - their conversations sound realistic.
And for me TASM Peter has better character development... he starts off heroic before he even gets his powers, defending a kid from flash... he feels a better fit to actually be a hero... toby was just a bit of a bully victim
