Boy oh boy did this prove out right lol. 51 PTS record breaking performance from the 25 year old! Inspired me to go ahead and by those Tatum 1s (STL colors), first nice pair of shoes I've bought in nearly a decade (I've stuck with long lasting boots since my early 20s).

Tatum literally only made clutch shots last night I have never seen anything like that before (or rather anyone else more than once)
as per stats muse, you're right. since it's been tracked (past 20 or so years) no one has done what tatum did in this game (score 3 points on bad shooting for the 1st 43 mins then score 16 points in the final 5 mins on good shooting, all counted as clutch).

@@LtNduati yup. most people underestimate the level of difficulty, mental fortitude and clutchness of what tatum did here. this most likely never has been done ever. This is like turning the worst game of anyone's career into one of the best clutch performances in the playoffs of all time.
Granted, the celtics wouldn't have been in this position if tatum didn't play like shit/wet the bed for the 1st 3Q.
if the celtics win the chip this year, this game will be the turning point for them.

My first time was the Lakers versus the Warriors game 6 and it was so good that I had to subscribe to your channel and see what else you got did the credible breakdown of the game also with the music background that's a nice cut in the main things you do which I don't see on ESPN is in mint when you are wrong and you break down will you make the mistakes and also with the teammate mistake all-in-all you got me a describing the good work

I agree that Marcus's 3 at 3:00 was gorgeous and remarkanly controlled given how fast he was moving. 23 7 7 was game-saving while tatum and Horford were laying goose eggs, and Smart had 3 boards and 3 assists (all to Tatum) in that final 4.35 minutes. It's why on metrics he's won the hustle award twice in a row.

Tatum's spin move at 1:00 is a HORRENDOUS travel. He catches the pass with the left foot down, steps right then left to settle outside the 3 line, lifts his bottom foot for the spin, and finally takes a long step with his non spin foot before the ball ever touches the floor. He then gathers the ball between steps (so no "gather" step) before stepping three times in a row before passing. Two travels back to back, no whistle. Refs. Do y'all need glasses? This seems less like legitimate heroics from the Celtics and more like refs sleeping on the job to hand them the game.

Refs really working overtime to give the celtics many chances. Too many clear missed calls missed on that end, and even a phantom call with that goaltend.

Rule e: Trap the ball against the face of the backboard after it has been released. (To be a trapped ball, three elements must exist simultaneously. The hand, the ball and the backboard must all occur at the same time. A batted ball against the backboard is not a trapped ball.)
Embiid pins the ball to the backboard. GOALTEND.
Not only did they stop running the Harden/Embiid PnR, Embiid didnt even touch the ball in the final 4 minutes despite being the only guy who had scored more than once in the 4th quarter at that point
what happened in this game was like a movie scripted with "hero's journey." Using LOTR here, Tatum was the main hero (frodo) who kept making bumbling mistakes with the ring then eventually redeems himself at thelat moment while smart is the "real hero" (samwise) who never gave up. Rob Williams is fittingly the Ents (the out of nowhere deus ex machina). JB is the rallying cry/underappreciated hero who has no fear in leading the charge against overwhelming odds (the only celtics who kept going at Embiid time and time again with no fear even if we was blocked) much like aragorn at the gates of Minas Morgul.
I know the NBA isn't scripted but the whole game was scripted like a wonderful story of old (at least if you're a Celtics fan or just a fan of basketball in general).

Here is my breakdown on this good game. The celtics totally followed their live on the 3 and die on the 3. Jason tatum redeemed himself in the 4th quarter despite a horrendous start. Last is if philly is defeated, I am going to conclude horford is the cryptonite of embiid. 😂😂

LOL just say you don’t know the game. The C’s led by 16 in the first half when he has 1 pt. Shot wasn’t falling but he played great defence, had like 7 assists in the first half and a few steals too. So when you say put them in that position, what do you mean? Because when he was struggling in the first half, Boston was up 16. You don’t know basketball if you think you can’t impact the game in more ways than just scoring

Do you attribute Tatum's lack of scoring with his shot selection? Off balance shots are tough but others he does not look like he's square enough to the basket.

Sixers should consider giving PJ less minutes. Yes his defense and rebounding is good but he’s offensively challenged so his man can just double harden or Embiid easily
