- This video is a side-by-side comparison between the indie edition of the Intuitive Night Goddess Tarot and the just released mass market edition. This deck was originally released in 2020 and created by Linzi Silverman.

You always do such an amazing job displaying the cards. Itâs hard to find differences, although when you pointed out certain areas, I could see what you found. You have incredible sight to be able to see it. I think the Mass Market did a nice job. Thank you for this beautiful video. âïž

Iâm glad that I supported the deck creator by buying the indie edition, but had I known that this would be coming out mass market with beautiful production values, I might have waited. Iâm a little over shiny metallic edging (buy I love a matte color edge every time!). Iâm going to put my indie copy away and use the mass market deck because I love the fact that it doesnât have the metallic edges to extend with!
Hello! I'm so excited because I have the indie version being shipped to me on Friday (can still purchase it from the creator on Etsy). I'm so excited for it to arrive! I'm glad I watched this side by side though because there are differences (albeit subtle) between the indie and mass market versions. What I saw was, as you said, the borders on the mass market are wider, it looks to me like the font on the mass market is also a tiny bit wider/bolder, and the overall image size itself seems just slightly smaller than with the indie version. It could be an optical illusion though due to the wider borders. I do prefer the looks of the indie version so I'm glad that I went with and ordered that one instead of the mass market one. I'm also a sucker for gilded edges so that's exciting for me as well. Thanks for this side-by-side comparison video! đđ
There's a MISPRINT on the indie deck. Instead of 8, the indie deck has the 8 of wands numbered 18. Plus the mass produced deck has more saturation and more detail.
Oh, yesâŠI believed the creator addressed that as a happy accident because of the significance of the number 18 to her. A second edition of this deck is currently on Kickstarter. I think the only difference is a change of the extra cards!

You know, I just noticed that the creator is putting out a 2nd edition of the indie deck on Kickstarter. I think everything is the same except for 2 extra cards and the box says âArtist Editionâ on the front. So, there is doing to be 3 versions of this deck!
@@oldsoulmermaid1543 yes! I saw the new Kickstarter indie version which is actually what brought me to CZcams looking for walkthroughs of the first indie edition. I simultaneously saw that there was also a version on Amazon, so your comparison video was perfect! I got the Amazon version yesterday and I absolutely love it! Glad I didnât pay double for the new Kickstarter edition!

Just got this in a trade and was curious what version I had. So I literally searched âIntuitive night goddess tarot mass market vs. indieâ and there you were! Perfect. đ this will be so fun to watch. Edit: I seem to have the mm version except that mine is curiously edged in black. Which by the way is stunning. Maybe they changed it up recently? đ€

@@oldsoulmermaid1543 I had to get it, the art is so fantastic. I also got the Black Violet Tarot, another female centric deck, I guess they don't bother me at all really. the art and the characters and the meanings are expressed on each card beautifully, on both decks, and i think on many others as well.
I had no idea this deck was coming out mass market! They did a lovely job with it! This is a special oneâŠnot one I reach for all the time but one thatâs perfect for certain readings.
This deck is not a daily workhorse deck for me either, but it is âtheâ perfect deck for certain occasions. Iâm curious to see what Hay House is going to do with the Wandering Star Tarot that is due to be released in November. I know you werenât feeling the love with that deck, but itâs a favorite of mine! I love the the fact that more indie decks are going mass market, because itâs a second chance if you miss out on an initial Kickstarter campaign or preorder.

I feel so sad I had to return the mass market because half of the deck was cut differently than the other. Which made it impossibly uncomfortable to shuffle. Not sure if I should try to re-order it from Amazon to see if I get one that is cut properly? Has anybody else had that issue? With the mass market. I just love the aesthetics of it. đą
Iâve had that happen with another deck before. I would re-order it and if you have the same problem, either order from somewhere else or wait a bit until the seller youâve ordered from has had a chance to get a new batch of decks. Does that make sense?

I'm not sure if anyone has this problem, but my cards aren't all the same size (I have the mass market version). When I lay the bottom edge on a flat surface, I can clearly see some cards about 1mm shorter than others. It is quite annoying especially when shuffling, the short card easily get stuck behind the longer cards, making me feel like I haven't gotten a good shuffle yet. The place where this deck came from doesn't allowed return. It is unfortunate. The unevenness is such a distraction.
Some say here about more detailed picture in mass market version but it's an illusion because they just made it brighter + the night sky is dim in mass market version and this is strange because everything else is notđ€ + overall picture is flat yes. But it's ok. The feeling I get from this deck is that it's made for old souls and then I saw your nickname đ€Żđ

Love the comparison. I just purchased the Artist Edition from a local shop. It has two bonus cards (Intuition and The Night) and the box has no barcode.
How wonderful you were able to find the Artist edition in a local shop! My local metaphysical shops all have very small curated selection of mass market decks.

I was tempted to order the indie version but it seems that the mass market edition is almost as good. The price difference is HUGE! Indie 50 + 35 (shipping) = 85 US$! The M M Can$30 (on sale, ship. incl., Amazon). Guess, which one am I getting, lol.

Hey Bonnie! Nice review, sorry I missed it when it came out! Is the mass market easier to shuffle? If not, I'll just keep the indie version, which hurts my hands the cardstock is so heavy and thick. And I love to riffle shuffle. But if thickness is same, not gonna bother to get the MM one. Amazing how identical the mm one is!
