Seriously it’s about time someone reacted to this masterpiece. One of the most beautiful songs by U2. I’ve been a fan for over 40 years! Thank you for the reaction!!
U2 will go down in history as the greatest rock band of all time. Unbelievable they still tour and have all original band members. Check out anything live from them. Even the live performances from any award show is awesome.
I believe they are one of the few remaining bands from the 80s that still tour with the original lineup. I've been lucky enough to see them in 2017 for there Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour

Great review. The Joshua Tree and Achtung baby are masterpieces. See With or Without You, Beautiful Day,Where the streets have no name,Pride, still haven’t found what I’m looking for or one . So many to mention
Superb... my eys lit up when i saw this takes me back to me teens. I was 14 in 1984 and a GIGANTIC U2 fan... saw them perform this live and it comes from one of my all time favourite albums U2 Albuns The Unforgettable Fire. By far Irelands biggest ever musical export and all grew up amidst the worst troubles Ireland has seen. They have long promoted an end to the troubles often reflected in their lyrics. Bono the lead singer invested heavily in Apple many years ago so i would imagine that would be the reason you had them on you Iphone without you putting it there lol. Legend status is reserved for very view groups and these guys comes under the category. You should react to their performance from the same stadium 1 year later. Live Aid 1985 Wembly Stadium or Where The Streets Have No Name.. video is all on the streets of America aswel as concert footage from their tour there 💜
One of the greatest bands - especially live - in rock history. They’re in the Rock Hall of Fame...and they still sell out stadium shows with 60K+ fans. If you want to hear more U2, they have a 24/7/365 channel on Sirius XM.
Great pick! This is such an underrated song. "Faces plowed like fields that once gave no resistance" - this isn't the stuff that most rock or pop artists were writing in 1984. Some other good songs to check out would be "Pride (In the Name of Love)" - either the official video or the live performance from Rattle and Hum. "One" live from Slane Castle is just amazing. The album versions is also very good. "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" (official video) has a very chill, gospel kind of vibe. "Angel of Harlem" live version from Sidney (Zoo TV tour) is FANTASTIC. "Electric Co" live from Red Rocks is jammed with youthful intensity, with a little bit more of a punk sound to it. Same with "Seconds" and "Surrender" from the same show. They have a very broad catalogue, so it's hard to zero in on just one.
Been a U2 fan from their first album and when this came out ("The Unforgettable Fire" album) we thought this was going to be their pinnacle, the highest of highs. Then "Joshua Tree" happened and well, the rest as they say. Caught this tour here in Ottawa and the "ZOOTV Tour" in Toronto.
Watching you enjoy this song brought a big smile to my face. I came to love U2 before you were born and have loved this song for almost as long. Seeing younger people from different walks of life come to appreciate it is joyful.
Live Aid 1985 U2 Bad- top 10 performances ever, but in it's time and space, maybe best ever.... First time, live to the planet- 100k in audience ( which wasn't their backyard)
My favorite song from my favorite album (or maybe War,I dunno,it's close) by them. Sat out all night in 25 degree weather in December '84 to get tickets to see them play DAR Constitution Hall in DC on a little holiday mini-tour of the US to promote The Unforgettable Fire album, which this song is the first track on. Was well worth it as when they came back to the US in the spring of '85 they had graduated to hockey and basketball arenas and the intimacy of their first tours was gone. Still great shows, one of the very few bands that could pull off a stadium concert, but still something was lost after they became as huge as they would become.
Little fact: That's an opening track of them 1984's release THE UNFORGETTABLE FIRE Oh, and they've used the similar bassline from this track to them another track (which was released in 2004) called "Vertigo"
Another fun fact: The baseline from this track was also used in another The Unforgettable Fire song called "Elvis Presley and America" They slowed down the bass line for that one.
U2 are pretty influenced by soul music, so I'm not too surprised that you might like them. The gospel version of Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For might be up your alley. They are my favorite band, so I'm biased, but I think they are the best live music rock band out there.
Funny you said about running through a field of dandelions 🤣 so many U2 songs make me feel like I’m running free through a beautiful dramatic landscape! Their songs can take you there for sure! Especially where the streets have no name!
Love it! They have used their songs in movies. They have powerful haunting melodies! Like: Streets With No Name", And I Still Haven't Found What I've been Looking For", "Blues Skies". Albums: Joshua Tree, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
U2 is the best band ever. so, so many great songs. If you really want to get a sense of what sets them apart from every other band, watch this version of their hit Sunday Bloody Sunday. czcams.com/video/ahVUBlBjVv4/video.html
My second trip back here to listen, and I just realized that this video leaves out an entire verse: And we live by the side of the road / On the side of a hill as the valley explodes / Dislocated and suffocated / The land grows wary of its own". Huh.
This song is has a dark meaning disguised as a feel good song. It does refer to finally coming home but not in the way you think. It refers to coming home in a body bag from the war.
That'd be a NEGATORY as far as my laundry situation is concerned, and it absolutely is cause for concern...seriously disturbing. I'm probably gonna just get new clothes and trash this whole mess.
I'm a 46yo black woman, and discovering U2's music when I was 12 literally saved my life.
I don’t know if you will ever see this but I’d love to hear your story.
One of The most Underrated Songs in Music History
U2 Best Band Ever
I can't believe somebody reacted to this! Truly underrated song, but still a masterpiece. Thank you
Seriously it’s about time someone reacted to this masterpiece. One of the most beautiful songs by U2. I’ve been a fan for over 40 years! Thank you for the reaction!!
Running to Stand Still - great song!
Super Bowl halftime show is considered the best ever!

U2 were great at creating anthems back when.

Wow you for to go to ZooTV. Best album from them in my opinion and there best tour in my opinion

U2 is the soundtrack to my life, since the early 80's.
Red Hill Mining Town..youll love it
Song is amazing, but the video is dreadful so don’t judge that book by its cover 😂
Ooooh this is a treat absolutely love U2 this is incredible absolutely brilliant thanku so much great reaction much love and god bless x
Check out "Bad" live in Dortmund, 1984.
Live Aid 1985 U2 Bad- top 10 performances ever, but in it's time and space, maybe best ever.... First time, live to the planet- 100k in audience ( which wasn't their backyard)

dude U2 POP play whole album.........electronic Rock-pop dance-funk!!!!!!!!
Dude i loved your comment, especialy at the beginning about the dryer haha...Thanks for sharing
this song has one of those otherwordly/timeless feels
Love U2 Band Live Band Ever🎶 Bono, Edge, Adam, and Larry 🔥Listen to Live at Slane Castle the whole concert is 🔥
Funny you said about running through a field of dandelions 🤣 so many U2 songs make me feel like I’m running free through a beautiful dramatic landscape! Their songs can take you there for sure! Especially where the streets have no name!
I think that’s why their concerts are such an uplifting experience- seriously the happiest place on earth is a U2 concert!
It’s about immigrants making a fatal journey. These songs are spiritual and one should pay attention to the lyrics.
Agreed. Death is the Sort of Homecoming. I think it is hopeful though, and that home may be heaven.
Best song best group best react
Obrigado pela reação! Um abraço, desde Portugal!
Respect to listen to one of the greatest bands ever. Respect sir.
Cool pick, fun reaction. Ha ha. Oops, my laundry!!
Unforgettable fire is U2's best album. its probably the only album thats consistent with its overall theme.
Love it! They have used their songs in movies. They have powerful haunting melodies! Like: Streets With No Name", And I Still Haven't Found What I've been Looking For", "Blues Skies". Albums: Joshua Tree, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
Bono voice are awesome
great vid man! i highly recommend "u2 - bad (live aid 1985)"
One of my top 5 fave songs of all time
Top 5 u2 songs

Top 5 U2 song!
Try Ultraviolet(Light my Way).
Bad Live is awesome!
The Unforgettable Fire Title Track is Another Incredible Song.
you get a like for the dandelion comment :)
songs of experience is such a great album. It was free
U2 - Vertigo
Does this particular U2 song sound similar to Joy Division (Ian Curtis)? At least during certain times?
Great reaction too by the way, my friend.
Not even close
Not even on Joy Division’s best day. And I like Joy Division.
They say that they were influenced by Joy Division and similar punk bands. So maybe?
@@archizona I suppose so, and at the very least it is a great song that reminds me of a stellar artist/group.
Rare choice))
U2 is the best band ever. so, so many great songs. If you really want to get a sense of what sets them apart from every other band, watch this version of their hit Sunday Bloody Sunday. czcams.com/video/ahVUBlBjVv4/video.html
OH YEA!!!! REACT TO BAD NEXT THEY STILL PLAY IT!!!!! PRIDE ABOUT MLK. BEST BAND EVER!!!!
Kick ass song better than anything they’ve done in 20 yrs
Terribly underrated song. One of Larry Mullen's tighter beats
Wonderful reaction. But tennis is played at Wimbledon not Wembley. Wembley is for large scale soccer matches and concerts like this one.
My second trip back here to listen, and I just realized that this video leaves out an entire verse: And we live by the side of the road / On the side of a hill as the valley explodes / Dislocated and suffocated / The land grows wary of its own". Huh.
Explains why I felt the song ended too quickly as it's a lengthy u2 song
Numb is fire if you didn’t do it on your live 🔥❤️
Yes. The Edge (them guitarist) is doing lead vocals on this track, with Bono (lead singer) and Larry Mullen Jr. (drummer) on the backing vocals.
check out Ultraviolet... masterpiece..
For me, i get a very native american tribal beat to it.
This song is has a dark meaning disguised as a feel good song. It does refer to finally coming home but not in the way you think. It refers to coming home in a body bag from the war.
You could spend days trying to cover half their back catalogue, although i think you would be pleased you did.
That'd be a NEGATORY as far as my laundry situation is concerned, and it absolutely is cause for concern...seriously disturbing. I'm probably gonna just get new clothes and trash this whole mess.
Got ur back bry
Bro lol.
No, dude. Wembley is not where they play tennis. Lol. Wimbledon. It’s a white thing. You wouldn’t understand. 😂😂😂
