training for a half marathon

  • Training for the half marathon is tougher than I thought but by being persistent, consistent, and trusting the process definitely made the training a whole lot easier. I hope this encourages you to be get out of your comfort zone and start pursing your goals, and let your success snowball to other areas of your life. Take care.

    Good luck man!
    I think after a certain point most of the difficulty is mental.. seems a crazy long way, but then you do it and realize, oh.. I that wasn't as bad as I thought.
    I would advise doing a full run through of the race maybe two-three weeks before (same time, same clothes/shoes, same breakfast, same distance, a little slower) just to give you confidence and to work out any potential problems.
    You look in pretty good shape, you will smash it.

      I agree 100%, definitely a mental game. Thanks for the advice, i'll scope out the run this week and take note of that. I appreciate the support!

    Good luck with the half marathon. I’m doing the 496 challenge right now which is also really hard. I ran for 2 hours 45 minutes yesterday, non-stop. It’s crazy isn’t it. Normally I’d maybe go out for half an hour. Maybe 45 minutes. It’s great to challenge ourselves like this. All the best to you 🙂👍

    Keep it up! Hydration and proper nutrition during the race is important. also carbing up days before the race helps. Is your goal to hit a sub 2 hour half marathon?
