remote software engineer finally goes into office | day in the life
I'm a remote worker and in this video I decided to head into my work office in San Francisco for the first time in a long time. There are perks in the office such as free food and drinks, but i'd definitely pass on those office perks and rather have no commute each day as a remote employee. Here's what it looks like when I do go into office.

After training for 3 months for my first half marathon, things didn't go quite as planned. Due to weather conditions, the half marathon that I was supposed to run got cancelled. But I couldn't let that stop me from completing what i've trained for.

A Day in the Life of a Software Engineer (WFH Edition)
It's amazing to see someone being in the job without knowing how to code on their own.
great vid man! I'm also a SF engineer. You got an insta handle?
nice to know another SF engineer! i dont have an insta handle yet!
@@dlo_studios yay hah. Would love to connect! You have an email?
I too work at SFDC! Lets catch up when I come to the San Francisco branch!!
Awesome! See you around!
What notepad is that which you write your to dos on I want it!
It's called a Rocketbook notebook!
hi!! I am happy to come across your video! thank you for sharing! is this the real deal on what you do an average day? is the type of work you do like this on the computer call coding? what is the degree needed to become a software engineer? do you need bachelors and master's or just bachelors? can an average lady like me who isn't good at math or science can do the work call coding? is it possible for just anyone to be able to do the work as of what you showed? please let me know ! I am not good at math or science, and I am interested on software engineering , and I want to know and i want to see if i can do the type of work you showed in this video
Thanks! It's great that you're interested in Software Engineering, it's definitely a rewarding field! I started from zero and so can you! Just need to be persistent in learning the fundamentals of coding and things will eventually stick and be easier to understand! I'll share some more about my experience in future videos for you to check out!
How did u crack the job ,can u share us a roadmap? And what skills are required.
Persistence in the job search, but I'll share more of that in future videos!
Keep grinding and we will all make it
Also, don't call yourself mediocre or lucky for getting a job, 90% is your hard work and 10% is luck
@@biljeg Thanks! Yep let's grind it out! Luck definitely played a role 100%
Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy videos like this. Hey from the UK 🙂👍
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Why dont you link your instagram or email address for business enquiries
good idea, i’ll make sure to do that!
@@dlo_studios okay
going office for the first time since your last day in the life video?
yes! i work remotely so it’s not necessary for me to go into the office. But it is nice sometimes :)
1:14 seems like I heard a "bom dia", which means good morning in portuguese. Nice vid btw.
haha awesome, Thanks!
I love this video
I love salesforc
Drop a like first and i’m going to watch later 😬
i don't think you're mediocre. you know how to get the job done and i think that's all that matters.
Thanks, that means a lot!
amazing bro
Thanks 🙂
Are you a Salesforce Engineer.
yep :)
Good suggestions. Fully agree on them all. Naming is everything… even for yourself when you have to go back and review it.
yep 100% :)
Do not buy this crap, these channels get paid to pretend they like and use this crap but they are sent them to sell to the uneducated

It's a great little gadget, can't wait to see what the next Generation brings.
100% looking forward to the next generation as well!
Great ideas for creating more interesting videos. Question: In Zoom Out mode, there is no Tracking = ON/OFF, so if you walk to the side in a Zoom Out (like in one of your shots), is it going to track you and come to you when zooming back in, or will it zoom back in to the original launch position?
Great question! There isn't tracking for Zoom Out, so it will return back to its original launch position!
@@dlo_studios Thank you very much. Keep up the good work. It's appreciated.
Subscribeddd before your channel blows up :) Don't forget uss.
For sure, i definitely won’t forget you :)
i graduated with a CS degree a year ago but i haven't been able to land any jobs. It's tough out here
do you have any internships, noteful projects you have worked on, or connections? I feel like alot of the people saying the job market sucks just don't have the actual experience, knowledge, or skills to get accepted into a job. There has been alot of graduates that have a few tutorial copied projects and a general knowledge on all cs subjects rather than a deep understanding of a certain topic and actual work to show.
yes it is definitely tough out there. Keep going, you got it!
@@triducal Yes i have many projects and I have done a couple of internships. I definitely want to apply to more internships but even those are very competitive. I also have connections as well. The market is just extremely competitive
bro, how you get remote job and what skill you have
I started in the role during covid so I was able to work remotely indefinitely unless the company implements return-to-office.
Bro, share some news about the Bull run market. When it's gonna start???
lol
I have this drone and love it for recording my hiking. Thanks for the additional ideas. Have you tried gestures yet? Thanks - Ben 🇬🇧

Brilliant project Congratulations

Cute ❤
Great video. Nice and concise
thanks!
Peanut butter not being crunchy is such a stupid ass thing to argue about.
I got mine this past week and had a great time challenging it outdoors amongst the ancient ruins I visit and indoors in a classroom! The X-1 can make it through a door but you have to choose your walking path carefully! Keep up the great shots!
Awesome, thanks for sharing!
Good and educational video. Thank you 😊
I just purchased mine! It comes tomorrow! I can't wait!!!! This drone is going to be a game changer in how I shoot videos of ancient ruins, sometimes in remote locations. I only shoot on my cell so technically this counts! One of the first tests I am going to try is to see how it does in windy conditions that I often shoot in. I also want to see if it will track my pugs! Great review!!!! 💯
Cheers so much so creative 😊 Hopefully mine will arrive next week 🙏 I'll be sure to try most of these out, except static shots as i don't like static shots Thanks for the using manual mode to side track, as it never even entered my thoughts ❤
I am someone who was thinking of getting into this career, could you please tell me that is it really boring, and does it allow you to work 4 days a week And what company do u work at
It's definitely hard work to get into this field of work. I'd say you'd have to enjoy and be relatively good at coding to get into and stay in the field. Good luck!
nice
Wow amazing
It would be nice if the battery last an hour
Yes, 100%! I would take even 20 minutes.
thank youu
peanut_butter = input("What is the texture of the Peanut Butter: ") if peanut_butter != "Crunchy": print(f'The texture is {peanut_butter} so go buy yourself a Crunchy Peanut Butter') else: print("Arguing Stops")
How ,any hours u gotta work on average
8 hours a day (40 hours per week). But in terms of actual focus work, probably around 4-5 hours a day.
Idk how people are able to code with people talking. As soon as someone says something in the background, I just start naming variables and methods random stuff

Hey dlo - CourseCareers is interested in a paid CZcams partnership. What's the best way to contact you?
Great post! The advanced features (that aren’t available until 5+ flights) i haven’t tried yet, on my way to do now. They allow you to make gestures to do flights without having to land every time. Can’t wait to try after setting it up! Thanks for your posts!
Thanks! Let me know what you think when you start using it!
Tried it yesterday, and all the gestures worked! Only thing to go back and do is reset the parameters of height, radius, close, etc. like for the Orbit, and Zoom Out features. THis has its own as far as I can tell! Neighbors thought I was weird waving my arms in my driveway, Hover is small, black, so they couldn’t tell what I was doing!…LOL
awesome man!
why are you coding in the kitchen?
Hello dlo pls an aspiring comp science student here please if you have a spare laptop that you ain’t using like it really just sitting there in your basement please I’ll be glad if you can give me so I can start learning how to code please it would really have a big impact on my life thank you
Why would you not just work and buy your own instead of begging. You can do part time work and get your own. WTF. That's straight pitiful.
