I just spent this whole video saying "right??" as if we were having a conversation lol. It was so fun! I'd personally adore having a Magical Girl outfits video from you!! They mostly have an amazing attire, one of my personal favourites is Sugar Sugar Rune! I love how Chocolat's darker tones clash with Vanilla's softer ones, and they both look so wonderful!! Of course, Shugo Chara is another incredibly good one, Amu really has a great sense of fashion for being so young lol. And absolutely agree with the Clamp praising, they are just the best lol. Have you thought of a ghibli lookbook? The outfits always look so simple and puffy, I would love to see you recreate that vibe but with real world physics and fabrics jaja! Specially since they have so very few accesories!!
Top of my head I think Nausicaäs uniform, Sheetas many boyish outfits, Chihiros iconic shirt, and obvs that ever present iconic and elegant female side character with a touch of femme fatale...

YES so many of the anime you mentioned are just totally iconic fashion wise. Bleach, JJBA, and Soul Eater especially imo! One I always go back to for some fashion NOSTALGIA is Lovely Complex. They just really capture early 2000s fashion so well.

The fact that soul eater, my fave anime/manga, was not only mentioned but the top one makes my heart warm, we love soul's jacket with passion
What I really love about Cardcaptor Sakura is that there is a really nice explanation for all cool outfits and I really love this because it mixes magical girl element with this cute story of the costumes made with love
I'm so glad to see Black Butler in this because I too was overly obsessed with it (still am) to the point where I wanted to dress like a little Victorian boy or girl.
ALSO Sk8 the Infinity has such great use pf color as you said and I love the outfits in the arts that have come with the anime, I've personally used them as inspiration myself.
however, Misa Amane will always be my style icon!
Rohan is number 1 for me too! His style is amazing and I love how we get to see so much of it as he changes his outfits all the time.
Love the shoutout for bungo stray dogs (& Jojo's too)!! With BSD, I've lowkey gotten inspired for what I can wear as business casual when I start working later this year, since lots of the trousers & blouses I have I've worn to formal events. I am also hoping to casually cosplay as a JoJo's character for halloween!

Anime & Kpop were the two things that got me out of my weird "I don't care about fashion & it's weird that people care about fashion it's just clothes" phase in middle school. I read Ultra Maniac & Vampire Knight. And wanted to dress like that, I also liked school uniforms (in anime) in a fashion sense, and ended up mixing that with a more punk/gothic look. Nothing made weeblet me more happier in high school then my friends saying I looked a badass anime girl.
Recantly watched Bleach through (since I only watched it at random as a tween/teen). And wow the outfits are such a throwback and made me miss my childhood so much. Currently in a Bleach hyperfixation and all my merch purchases can be summed up as; "My husbando looks so good in that outfit." *adds to cart* lmfaaooo
i used to think the same way about clothes, i think it was mostly bc of the "rules" that were imposed to me as i was growing up. my mom has always had a very specific taste and never let me experience as a child, and ofc when we're kids tend to prefer comfort and fun over fashion. also i used to see people around me saying how much they loved fashion and wearing the exact same plain outfit, i thought it was just boring.
it got into anime when i was about 12 yo with death note, so misa was THE icon, into kpop when i was 14, and since then mix and matching outfits became my ~relaxing morning ritual~
i wouldn't say i am the best dressed person anywhere and i tend to overthink my every action, but people calling my outfits unique and "admiring my confidence" really boosted my actual confidence

Would definitely love to see a longer sit down video where you talk about the works of Ai Yazawa more in depth, especially from the fashion aspect. As someone who loves the style but has no clue how to implement that into my wardrobe (without the obvious touches of Vivienne Westwood), it would be cool to see a breakdown of the fashion and how one can achieve that style. 😊
"Please raise your hand if you had a crush on Kaiba as a kid" Like I'm pretty sure I still have an anime crush on him now. And let's be real, his Domino City outfit was hella stylish. That white jacket was iconic. Also, in terms of style, Yu Yu Hakusho was probably my favorite show there was

The reason why the main cast of Soul Eater still looks & feels very complementary, despite their wildly variying outfits is the shared color palette and their mirroring in cuts/elements and silhouettes.
Everyone has at least two colors from their shared color palette: black, white(/beige) and red in their design. With some extra pops of color to truly individualize them.
Maka and Kid both have the same angular cut to their jacket with the shoulderpads and lapels.
Black Star, Liz, Patty, Tsubaki and even Soul all have that neck holder Look. (Soul emulating it with his jackets black color block).
Everyone wears blocky shoes and has some kind of neck element: Maka, Liz and Patty all wear ties. Kid has a brooch, Soul has his jacket collar, Tsubaki wears a scarf and Black Star has a giant cone collar bc hes so extra. I could go on lmao :D

I am so happy that you mentioned soul eater, and I was also quite suprised it came as your number one lol. But Soul Eater has been my number one anime for so long with it's feel good vibe and though I am aware it is quite well known, I do think it is underrated for it's manga art style. (And soundtrack in the actual show)
I watched Shugo Chara when I was around 12 (perfect age I think haha) and I remember I was completely mesmerized by Amu's style. I'm 24 now, and I'm still mesmerized tbh 😅

One Piece has had some fashion crossover art, such as gucci, and you can never forget Ranma for specifically women's fashion! Also what comes to mind is Jujutsu Kaisen with their modified outfits and the ending mv

As I was watching this, I thought about Shirobako! It's such a lovely series for casual wear; the characters are almost always wearing a different outfit, and the clothes are modern for the time period and pretty cute. I recommend looking into it if you haven't already, it's also just a favorite of mine in general! Great video, I love thinking about what everyone's wearing in anime.

I obsessively watched Yu Gi Oh when I was a kid. Definitely also had a crush on Kaiba and was obsessed with the dark magicians.
Count D and the rest of characters from Petshop of Horrors Manga deserve an honorable mention.
And if you want to see more academia, look at Pandora Hearts or D. Gray-man. Their uniform style also changes in every arc.
