For me, boots need to be instantly comfortable (obviously), waterproof, breathable but most importantly, it must cup my heel and reduce impact there plus support and protect my ankle ligaments. I had a recent French pair that collapsed around my heel after a few months and you'd think I was a cripple getting out the car after driving home when I was wearing them.
Best boots I ever had were the old Chameau Mouflon. Unbelievably good, so well made that not even a cashmere sweater munching, boot chewing cocker spaniel pup couldn't destroy them. Chameau haven't been at the races since the Mouflon, after which they moved the manufacturing centre to Morocco, I believe.
All clothing is always an expensive part of your kit, it's good to hear people talking about what they are using and there opinions, over the years I have spent a lot of money on clothing and have found that not all is what you would expect for what your paying, more people need to reviews like this one because then there would be more information out there before you spend your hard earned money ! Thank you 👍 I personally think that socks are just as important as the boots you are putting on and if you have the wrong ones they will make the best pair of boots in the world seem bad !! The little things make such a big difference ☺
Yes couldn’t agree more. A lot of the time your mind convinces you of a “good purchase”, only to find out that in reality you’ve been heavily marketed to and end up being let down badly with gear that doesn’t stand up to what is promised. We will always share our honest, tested reviews. Yes, a good pair of socks are always worth the investment. We have used ‘darn tough’ socks in the past and they are darn good! 👍🏼

Thank you for this. I don't know anyone who wears them but sounds like they worth a try. One thing, does you think that their sizes come up standard, slightly big or small?
Glad we could recommend. I believe the boot sizes come as standard, as we wear exact sizes we are. Where are you based? UK?
@@CervusUK Hi Owen. Yes I'm Uk, Suffolk based. I've tried several typse of boots but never had them last as long as I had hoped. Never tried these ones though. I'm very interested in trying these boots.
