Just bought. Never gonna roll an ankle again in these boys! Psyched to try em out
Hey, Drew! I think you made a solid purchasing decision with these Crispi Boots. Best of luck to you this season, both in harvest and in injury prevention that is! - Forest
🤘🏻 thanks for the review
🔥
Great explanations, thanks.
We appreciate you, Craig!
Best boots ive bought
Thanks for the comment, Elijah! 🔥
Did you find the boot super hot? I bought it and agree with all your viewpoints. The only issue I had was the heat and ventilation. After being on the trail for a full day of hiking my feet were completely water logged and my socks were dripping wet. Otherwise I love these boots.
Hi Coby. I haven't experienced any issues with "overheating" or "excessive sweating" with these Briksdal MTNs. I'm also one that generally doesn't have excessively sweaty feet either, so I'll consider that a win in its own right. LOL. Thank you for providing your question here though as it may help others! - Forest
What was this temp that you were hiking at where your socks were water logged?
Thanks for the reply, Forrest! Generally, I don’t have sweaty feet either. That is why I was so surprised. I have been using the boots in 90° weather while doing lots of climbing, so it’s possible that I am sweating everywhere, including my feet. I just expected more ventilation and evaporation from my boots as I haven’t experienced this before. Thanks for the great video and follow up.
@@TheCs1968 You betcha! I'll monitor this aspect with my boots too as the archery seasons approach, and they're worn nearly 18 hours per day. The majority of my training hikes are pre-dawn to dawn this time of year, so I haven't been "getting after it" in 90-degree weather such as yourself. Again, really great question and thank you for mentioning it here for others to consider! - Forest
Briksdal mtn gtx vs Nevada insulated? Great video!
Thanks for the comment and suggestion!
@@gearfool I was kind of asking which you recommend. But yes it would make a great video too
@@TheTyrider427 Oops! I wouldn't hesitate for a moment when it comes to recommending the Briksdal MTN GTX. I really enjoy it personally! As for the Nevada NI, I simply haven't worn that model enough to cast an honest opinion on their behalf. Looking forward to it though! - Forest
Do they have a wide or narrow toe box?
Thanks
In my opinion, the new Crispi Briksdal MTN has a moderately-wide toe box, as in it certainly isn't too narrow. I personally wear a size 10 (D) in this boot and use a Darn Tough Hiker Boot Sock (Midweight with Cusion). When doing so and with the boot fully laced to my liking, I have adequate pressure on the side of my foot near the base of my toes while the ends of my toes have zero side-pressure. I also have zero slippage in any axis when the boot is fully laced to my liking btw. For comparative measure, I can wear a standard pair of VANS casual shoes in size 10 (D). I hope that this helps. Contact me at 435-263-0170 during standard business hours and I'd be happy to clarify further if that would help you. - Forest
How do these fit compared to the Guides?
The fit is comparable between the Briksdal MTN and Guide in my opinion. - Forest
