Awesome
Really enjoying your videos, Tony, and I am already seeing big improvements in a lot of my game. I know you have done a lot of videos on breathing in boxing - but one thing I haven't seen covered by anyone is when, and how you should breathe in, rather than always just speaking about the importance of exhaling when throwing punches? I am an asthmatic so I probably struggle with this more than the average boxer but I just thought perhaps talking about the appropriate times for breathing in, to ensure you aren't getting caught out of breathe. Is it better to inhale through your nose/mouth - or how much you should exhale to ensure you don't run out of breathe when throwing long combos for example. Love your work Tony please keep it up :)
Q: learning to use different equipment/pads better ie. watched your heavy bag videos , but learning how to train with focus pads and belly pads? Also how to be a good pad person when taking turns in training? Also tips recovery between training sessions and especially looking after sore hands besides wrapping well (during training)?
Thanks Tony . Love the content, grateful for the level of detail always. Best wishes from Manchester UK
firstly love the videos....not sure if you have already done this but do you have any southpaw combination, defensive and offensive techniques? If you have any videos on this can you send the link? Cheers Tony
Tony Sir, I have been asking you one question which I am highly curious, I am vegetarian (I eat eggs) and since I started boxing I wanted to know Olympic boxers diet.. Your daily routine during peak camp days and normal days.. One video not about boxing, but about life and diet of boxers brother
So unreal, the amount of work you just put into this video is overwhelming

This video is gold. We are seriously lucky. I've had some great teachers down the years but this guy is really putting it all together here. He doesn't waste a word.
@King Henchyy aww who hurt you sweetie?
As a novice, it’s absolutely amazing how much footwork builds every punch. Watched it twice now just to watch his feet. Really gives an appreciation for the sport, I don’t just see it as two guys punching on anymore, it’s constant positional awareness. Quite a smart martial art.
Boxing is definitely an intellectual sport
It actually is an art,the art of boxing.
Nice observation, it's a helpful tip also. Thanks. Total novice, me. 🥊🎱

Tony, I’m a 59 yo Martial Artist. I respect science. You’re one of the best teachers I’ve learned from. You’ve confirmed many concepts I felt were true. I’m opening a home sparring gym with MA half my age.
My job is to hold my own and teach the younger guys the way to box correctly.
I’ve not achieved Boxing greatness in any way.
I did win Best Boxer in High School, I earned a Brown Belt in a Tai Chi Striking Art at age 30.
I’ve studied BJJ to Blue Belt and sparred the Tai Kwon Do artists on Friday night. That was my truth teller- They could kick me in the head as well as punching me.
I loved it and learned so much. I’m a Southpaw and generally circled counter clockwise.
My favorite combos are a double right jab, left cross to the face and then looking for body targets.
My combo for a taller opponent (I’m 6’3”) -exactly what you recommended- Left cross to the solar plexus- use left shoulder to protect against the right hook, throw right rib shots with impunity!
Thanks so much Tony-
You’re a great boxing/self defense teacher- clear instruction 😊
You probably don’t know me but good luck man 🫡

Tony, you present the basics of boxing in a way that is straightforward and easy to understand. I am 59 years old and I am just starting my boxing journey. Your instruction is so clear that I can practice the skills as you teach them. Eventually I will join a gym and train with a coach, but following your CZcams program is helping me get prepared for that next step. This is good stuff. I appreciate your guidance.

Not only the best intro to boxing ever, but quite literally one of the best most accessible videos of all time. The time stamps and categorization really shows the effort you put into this. Well done.
I looked up beginner boxing guide out of curiosity and to kill some time so I landed on this video, and after I watched the first 20 mins of this video I started to think that I might give it a shot and start practicing it, the vid is well organised and the information was clear, simple, and straight to the point. Amazing!
been learning at home the past 2 months on a reflex bag. already upgraded my gloves. my footage from week 1 and 2 are night and day difference from my footage as of recently. thanks for everything Tony
Tony, this is an awesome lesson on boxing. Never seen anyone presented in such a complete, crisp, clear without hold back or reserve. Wish you was in the East Coast....most definitely would send my kids to your Gym and go my self. World class information. Thank you. God bless!
Much appreciated mate, don't forget to ask any questions if you got one
I've been taking in alot of your videos and I must say you're an amazing teacher. You break everything down intuitively, explain things clearly, and get right to the point.
Also the work you put into these videos (small animations drawing lines to show punch and or stance lines) as well as where to navigate in the timeline to different topics is very much appreciated as a viewer but I know that doesn't make your life easier putting it together.
Honestly, these videos are some of my favorite to view and apply as I have recently started training/exercising at home (in Ontario Canada and were locked down).

As a beginner, I gotta say : Incredible video. I train in a collective gym, boxing courses are great but it's mass teaching so coaches can't completely follow everyone individually. This video completes what I've been learning so far.
My main problem is stiffness though, any tips on being more "relaxed" ? It's quite problematic for long range hooks as they end up being weak
If you mean stiffness in the body always stretch mate before and after training.. not just stretching your arms and legs, do good long stretches. you’ll find videos on CZcams and you’ll feel loose and brand new after doing it. Stiffness in the punches just breath relax and keep calm, focus on the tech work you do.. we are all learning something everyday step by step that’s the beauty of the sport.. knowledge is power, literally 😂

These videos have been amazing help. I have been desperately needing to find an outlet and a way to decompress. Boxing has been a great way to escape. Thank you for these videos, it is an opportunity I can't thank enough.
Liked before watching. 😎💪
NICE!! !👊 👊
Tons of respect to you for your boxing education, bro. I use your training videos to box at home and I find them to be very useful.
You’re videos are superb. I was very lucky to be taught some basic boxing by a, now sadly deceased, former gold olympic medalist, although it was decades ago, much of what you say reminds me of what Terry taught me. Thank you, from a lifelong lover of Boxing.
Love this tutorial ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you Coach Tony God Bless you 🙏🏾
made my teacher raise my grade from a 40 to 100. Thank you so much!

Oh man! I'm boxing beginner. This video is some kind of boxing bible for me. Thank you very much for it and greetings from Poland!
Very informative for a beginner. The lesson does not suffer of a mock attitude unlike few channels i came across. It feels Convenient to watch as a beginner guy 🙏
Also, it has 12 topics in 1 video, so i respect that 👍
We can see why you became a Olympic medalist.......your video tutorial has given me confidence and has cleared almost all my doubts.....you helped in fine tuning my shots....AND I CAN SEE THE POWER COMING OUT EFFORTLESSLY.
I WILL REMEMBER YOUR VIDEOS FOR MY LIFETIME......your effort and time has helped many....Thank you 👍🤩🤩

Thank you very much
hello Tony. found this very inspiring and helpful. I love your work. I was thinking very seriously these days to make my childhood dream come true and join a boxing club. Thing is, I am 54 years old... Honestly now...do you think it's too late for me to start this? And I don't mean just for fitness I would love to learn Boxing on a ring!
You can do it!
You can do it. You only compete with yourself.
