The Blackhawks were named in honor of the U.S. 86th Infantry Division, which was nicknamed the "Blackhawk Division" after Black Hawk, a Native American chief who was based in present-day Illinois. The founder of the team served in that division. And I believe many native Americans in the area are well aware of that which is why when people ask for a name change for the team, it never goes anywhere.

bro the only reason gibson left his net was because petr kept getting involved and making it a outnumbered fight. the NHL has its rules, but so do the players, and if you see the other tender getting involved u go help your teammates out.
