Take Lincoln for example - as a Non-League, they beat Ipswich in 2018 on a Replay, then proceeded to beat Burnley at Turf Moor and went on to have a massively lucrative tie against Arsenal in the Quarter Finals. The money of all that run was invested in a new training centre. 6 years later, they are fighting for promotion to the Championship.
Replays are essential for the FA Cup.

In my opinion the FA cup lost its magic when they moved the semi finals to Wembley, I grew up in the 70s and 80s where the semi finals were always played at Villa park or Hillsboro, and occasionally old Trafford, I also remember FA cup final replays on the Thursday night (Man utd v Crystal Palace). Also the final should be back at 3pm like it used to be, I’m old enough to remember the Match of the day coverage starting at 12, with Saint and Greevsy, etc. It’s sad how much the magic of the cup has declined.

Personally i'd like to see the League Cup exclude any team that starts the season in a European competition. You'd still have massive Premier League club ties in it for lower league clubs, different winners each year. Less games for the "Greedy 6" and most importantly the clubs that get to the final would actually want to win it instead of it being viewed as a minor trophy and a consolation prize for failing elsewhere.
Do that and The FA Cup could remain in its current format.

Easy solution. Return to the European Champions Cup as a straight knock out competition and the the cup winners cup as a straight knock out competition. Send the conference league back to the void. Don’t reduce the domestic games which are what most fans can afford to attend but scrap the endless growth in european games which only the prawn sandwich brigade can really afford to attend. This would also reduce the income of the top clubs and provide in the process both sanity to costs and wages and better equality across the premier league in particular.

Latest proposals for changes to the FA Cup:
    2024/25
    No replays.
Scrap all the early rounds and start with the Quarter Finals, featuring the top 8 teams in the Premier League.
The 8 teams competing will only feature their reserve teams (no real change there then).
    2025/26
Scrap all the knockout rounds and just have the Final, featuring the 2 clubs with the biggest bank balances. (That is usually what happens anyway).
    2026/27 (to the forseeable future)
Don't bother with the final. The FA Cup will be awarded to the club with the biggest bank balance.
These proposals will save a lot of travelling for all clubs and will reduce the demands on the Premier League's top players. Makes a lot of sense.
