As the person who made this headline and thumbnail, it took everything in my power to not have it say… “Why JJ WOULDN’T pick MJ to beat the aliens 😱”
Lol na He's leaning into the villain role I see what's going on
It's like he's never seen Space Jam
Jordan is a top 5 defender ever imo, imagine how much better he will be without having to carry the scoring load
We must always call out space jam slander JASON
Im surprised you didnt quit after this.
Jordan literally has experience playing against aliens...
Underrated comment
Fuckin facts! He carried the looney tunes on his back.
That's what I'm saying😂
LeBron too 🤷🏾♂️
@@jawz2xbabs could ball.
Give me Iguodala, Iguodala, Iguodala, Iguodala, and Iguodala.
-Max Kellerman (probably)
underrated😂😂😂😂
The fact that Space Jam exists makes this 100x funnier 🤣🤣
JJ literally got put in Space Jam and he picks Scottie over MJ 🤣 I get his reasoning, but it’s just too funny saying that out loud.
There is no logical reasoning here.
@@BucNasty32there is a logical reason, he don't need em with the team he has
@@Book.of.Treason No there isn't. MJ was better than anyone else.
@@TheThreeHeadedDragonKobe did everything better
When fate of the universe is on the line, JJ goes: “I WANT PIPPEN”
😂😂😂
What do you do when Jordan decides to play for the Aliens after you snub him?
Well, we have Pippen so he's not getting out of the first round.
And I took that personally
@@JeremyCuddlesXD
@@JeremyCuddlesyou guys got pippen so your not going anywhere.
Depends on how big the aliens are but I'd probably get Shaq in 90s.
Kareem is better scorer
If you mean dominant big then wilt is the best
I think JJ is trolling us in regard to choosing Scottie over MJ.
Imagine Jordan and Kobe on the same team. They would play 1 on 1 against each other despite being on the same team
idiot comment fr
😂
Casual
Yeah, that's why I took young LeBron for my 2000s, can't have Kobe and MJ fighting for the ball, I would've picked Shaq but I already had 2 centers because Kareem has to be the player of the 70s and Wilt or Bill has to be for 60s, especially because Oscars game looks ancient compared to today's players, defense I'm hoping is more timeless so I went with Bill because I have enough scoring and Wilt was a notoriously terrible teammate. Went Durant for 2010s because he can guard 1-4 during that decade and is used to having great teammates to share the ball with, and had to choose Steph over Jokic also because I already had two centers, plus the gravity factor and he can run off screens, one of the few super stars that has that in his game. Bird for 80s since he's the better shooter and LeBron will already be my point guard essentially on offense and Magic becomes less useful, and Russell and Bird are also great passers so I should have enough playmaking. Aliens are screwed. Cousy will come in if we got a massive lead in the fourth haha
I reckon they’d play well together. MJ and Kobe were like brothers.
Aliens aren't athletic. Put Wilt on the court against 5 Greys and they'll be heading back to their saucer before the first commercial break.
You don’t what aliens do on their planet.
Assuming that's the only type of alien to exist is peak ignorance. The best part is that you think the short grey ones that movies depict would be the mfs coming to challenge earth to BASKETBALL of all things lmaoo
Wemby is athletic
this erases everything smart jj has ever said
Give me MJ , 3 looney tunes and Bill Murray as a facilitator, we'll all be fine.
I think I’d take MJ and go 00’s Timmy Duncan for a better balance squad with more size but that’s me 🤷♂️
“I’ve got shooting, size, elite shot making, mamba mentality, versatility” - you know what you don’t got? MJ
Am I the only one who sees the logic in JJ's argument?
8 man rotation
Kareem '72 (Wilt '59)
Russell '62 (LeBron '12)
Bird '86 (Kobe '06)
Jordan '93 (Kobe '06)
LeBron '12 (Steph '20)
Honestly, Russell '59 and Wilt '68 is much better if you have to pick them both. Russell was the leader of the best team in the league by 59, while young Wilt was not a very team-oriented player.
Wait didn't wilt came year 1960 I think
Jordan in, Pippen out. Kobe out, Shaq in.
Why would u pick PIP if u already have a way better version on bron?
Bron isn't a better defender than Pippen was. Lebron is better at everything else though.
@DetroitTyler prime lebron was a better defender. Pippin guarded a bunch of unathletic white guys.
@@DetroitTyler defending players with no shooting or offensive skills would give u the illusion he was a better defender.
@@Michael-tc1dmnah bro pippen was like a guard as a defender
@@Michael-tc1dm So does that mean Lebron is overrated since he couldn’t guard JJ Barea and Dirk Nowitzki ? lol
Who tf needs Pippen when you have a super soldier version of him already (Lebron)💀
I need a versatile wing defender who can make threes and score.
My brother in Christ, you already picked LeBron and Larry Bird.
lol, is Scottie is a 32% 3 point shooter and 30% in playoffs
LeBron was not a good 3pnt shooter in his prime.
@@daanishguptaI think he's referring to Miami Bron, 40.6%
@@noyce. Miami Bron was a *decent* shooter and *not a good* one. He attempted less than four 3 pointers a game and shot 40% just once. It wasn't until his last season at Cleveland when he started attempting more 3s and made them at a league average rate. He has never been a knockdown shooter in his entire career.
@@daanishguptaI think you missed the point by a mile. He's not picking Miami Bron to be a KNOCKDOWN shooter.
Point is what this poster said, there's LeBron and Larry Bird for the "Versatile Wing Defender who can make threes and score".
Unless you think the 90s Scottie Pippen pick is *better* for that role than LeBron.
Bruh. How can you not pick Jordan? He's the GOAT and has the most experience vs aliens. Smh
Jordan gets to provide shoes and warmups.
Hes an idiot, thats why.
It’s JJ’s „I want Iguodala” moment
Mj literally beat the aliens, its been done, and jj still didnt pick him to save our planet. From aliens.
JJ forgot about Space Jam like damn
Cousy, Russell, Kareem, Bird, Jordan, Ginobili, Curry, and Jokic
GINOBLI???? Bro
1950: Dolph Schayes - Bench
1960: Bill Russell - PF
1970: Kareem Abdul Jabbar - C
1980: Magic- PG
1990: Jordan - SG
2000: Lebron - SF
2010: Curry - Bench
2020: Jokic - Bench
love the show JJ. I really do.
But 1:50 into the clip. I'm closing the browser, I refuse to finish the clip.
Not choosing MJ vs "The Aliens" is the most 2024 take ever
That fact that you aint got iggy vs the aliens with the death beam pointed at earth is crazy😂😂
50s: Bill Russell
60s: Wilt
70s: Kareem
80s: MJ
90s: Pippen
00s: Lebron
10s: Steph
20s: Jokic
This is why I love JJ . . . I wouldn't have done it but he could care less about what other thinks and he uses logic . . . this is great!
Kids, simply search *Larry Bird Post Moves* and you'll see how deep his bag was. Larry is part of the 50/40/90 club twice (and barely missed it two other times). A miss in 84/85 with 52.2% FG, 42.7% 3PT, and 88.8% FT. Another miss in 85/86 with 49.6% FG, 42.3% 3PT, and 89.6% FT. Almost 4-seasons straight with 50/40/90.
We hear you but that bag was deep for 80s ball lol Larry was him though
@@SuperIcecold94 Still deeper than today's one dimensional step backs.
PG, 2019 Harden
SG,1987 Jordan
SF,2006 Kobe

6. 1990 Karl Malone
7. 1951 George Mikan
8. 2023 Embiid
Size length scoring and elite defense
He omitted MAGIC 😂😂
Magic doesn't shoot or play defense. You clearly take bird over him especially in today's league
Never disagreed with you so heavily JJ 😂
dude... what about MJ in the 80s? MJ as DPOY and MVP and scoring leader all in one year, one of the best years of all times
I gotta go Steph for 2020s, Bron for 2010s, Kobe for 2000s, Shaq for 90s, Bird for 80s, Pistol Pete for 70s, Big O for 60s, Russell for 50s
Watching this one has a different feeling all things considered.
Cousy, Wilt, Kareem, Bird, Jordan, Shaq, LeBron, Steph
My list is
50 - Cousy
60 - Wilt
70 - Kareem
80 - Magic
90 - Jordan
00 - Kobe
10 - LeBron
20 - Durant
I initially had Giannis but felt like we needed more shooting.
Starting Lineup:
PG - Magic
SG - Jordan
SF - LeBron
PF - Durant
C - Kareem
Cousy at backup PG
Kobe at backup SG/SF
Wilt at backup PF/C
Slight adjustments for me in the early years: Wilt, Kareem, Pistol Pete, Bird, MJ, Kobe, Bron, Steph. Starting 5 is Steph, MJ, Bird, Bron, Kareem. With Pistol, Kobe and Wilt off the bench. Aliens are cooked.
Well JJ if you’re choosing Scottie over Mike to save our planet then I’m choosing Sam Presti and Spo to lead us instead of you 😂
Cubs are doing well this year so far
Kobe for the 2000s when Shaq existed. Then you want Pippen for the 90s over Jordan
The new JJ - Click J Reddick...
Jj trolling with this he finna go viral
2020s - Jokic (elite playmaker + efficient scorer)
2010s - Lebron (playmaker + elite defender)
2000s - Duncan (defensive anchor + reliable everything)
1990s - Jordan (goat)
1980s - Bird (elite shooting + toughness)
1970s - McAdoo (elite shooting + scoring)
This team has size, defense, shooting, shot making and playmakers. Can switch and match up, play multiple styles in different playoff series
People thinking you’re the goat wrongfully doesn’t earn you a spot on the team to save humanity 😊
@deadlylightningspirit4295 that's a strange way of saying you don't know basketball. Jordan literally saved humanity from Aliens. It was documented. I got it on vhs bro
I left the video at 1:32
This is ludacris
😅😂
Since you can't know how aliens are like body wise, they could be tiny but super fast or super slow and 9' tall, the question should be continued with ...and the aliens will pick from the pool of players you leave on the table, in this case Wilt, Magic, MJ, Shaq, KD, Jokic, Luka,..
Scottie is gonna mention that on the tour smh.
Curry, Jordan, Durant, Duncan, Kareem.
Bird, Robertson and Russell off the bench
Bron and MJ should be more than enough. They've already beaten the Monstars who are basically aliens. They just need the looney tunes squad.
Lineup:
Bugs Bunny (1950s)
Michael Jordan (1990s)
Wil E. Coyote (1960s)
Road Runner (1970s)
Lebron (Space Jam 2020s)
Bench:
Lola Bunny (2000s)
Daffy Duck (2010s)
Tasmanian Devil (1980s)
It doesn't make sense, Jordan and Pippen had identical 3 point shooting percentage for their careers.
The guy literally had a movie about him playing aliens!!! How do you not pick MJ
People get too deep into analyzing players in a vacuum. Pippen may be the best complimentary player of all time.
(20s) Steph Curry
(90s) Michael Jordan
(10s) LeBron James
(80s) Larry Bird
(70s) Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
(00s) Kobe Bryant
(50s) Elgin Baylor
(60s) Bill Russell
The one average defender is Curry, so if he gets played off the floor we have multiple other ball-handers with MJ, Bron, Bird, and Kobe. All 4 of those guys either got elite size or elite athleticism or both. We got elite rim protection and rebounding with KAJ and Russell, and more elite rebounding with Baylor and Bird. A very switchable lineup with enough shooting and playmaking, elite shot creation, and unstoppable shot in KAJ’s skyhook, with different looks off the bench ready when needed
50s - cousy
60s - bill
70s - kareem
80s - bird
90s - jordan
00s - shaq
10s - bron
20s - curry
Wilt played in 1959 and in his rookie year he was MVP/ROY.
1950's Wilt
1960's Oscar
1970's Kareem
1980's Bird
1990's MJ
2000's Duncan
2010's Kobe
2020's Bron
PG Oscar / Bron
SG MJ / Kobe
SF Bird
PF Duncan
C Wilt / Kareem
The only change you can consider is Magic over Bird. If you prefer having another true PG in lieu of SF depth, but Bron doubles as the backup PG and backup SF. I don't see how you can get a situation where you can bring Curry over Bron or Kobe from those decades.
I'm honestly more shocked he didn't pick Shaq from the 2000s
not taking kd is crazy.
I feel like the obviously right answer is Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Bird, Mike, LeBron, KD, and Steph
60’s Russell, 70’s Kareem, 80’s Bird, 90’s Jordan, 2000’s Tim Duncan 2010’s Kobe 2020’s Steph Curry or Giannis, but I would also consider squeezing in Ray Allen somehow over Curry. LBJ doesn’t have a perimeter game and his offenses can be stagnant in half court sets.
No one talking about the Shaq omission.... criminal....
Petit, Chamberlain, KAJ, Magic, Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, Curry
50s Bill Russell, 60s Wilt, 70s Kareem, 80s Larry Bird, 90s Jordan, 00s Kobe, 10s LeBron, 20s Steph Curry. Easy peasy. Starting LeBron, Jordan, Bird, Kareem, Wilt. Bench of Curry, Kobe, and Russell.
I reckon in terms of his Team set-up or fit: Magic=Pippen & Jordan=Bird.
So you either pick Jordan or Bird, & Magic or Pippen.
Steph (20s)/Magic (80s)
Kobe (00s)
Jordan(90s)
Lebron (10s)/Pettit (50s)
Kareem (70s)/Wilt (60s)
50s: Cousy
60s: Wilt
70s: Kareem
80s: Bird
90s: MJ
00s: Duncan
10s: LeBron
20s: Steph
The funny part is Pippen and making 3s😂😂😂
MJ already beat the aliens with Bugs Bunny and them Looney toons
They should put that guy from the Space Jam movie on this team
Kobe or Lebron gotta go for Jordan. I'd say the best wings of all-time played in the 2000s and 2010s
Every list starts with the name Jordan, so Kobe's not going to be on the list in the first place.
First Max Kellerman picking Iggy over Steph, then this podcaster/3pt spot up shooter picking the guy who literally fought with aliens over Salty Pippen. We failed as a human.
He should have taken 90s MJ, 2000s Bron, 2010s KD, 2020s Steph.
Dude. Just find that wing on a different decade 😅
How do you leave MJ off this list, WHEN HE's LITERALLY THE ONLY ONE WITH FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE IN THIS EXACT SCENARIO??????
50s: Russell
60s: Wilt
70s: Kareem
80s: Bird
90s: Jordan
00s: Kobe
10s: LeBron
20s: Curry
Exhibit A: Space Jam
There was literally a time when people were saying is LeBron just a souped up version of Scottie Pippen, so why would you need the lesser version of the two on the same team!? You could just mix Jordan's ability to close with LeBron's longevity and ability to get to the Finals consistently.
Magic Johnson '87
Michael Jordan '93
Kobe Bryant '06
LeBron James '13
Kareem Abdul-Jabber '72
Stephen Curry '21
Oscar Robinson '64
Wilt Chamberlin '59
Put Wemby in for 2020s and look back six years from now. Got to use an 👽 to defeat one.
Spot on, JJ! Jordan is good for footwear though.
1950s - Russell
1960s - Robertson
1970s - Kareem
1980s - Bird
1990s - Jordan
2000s - Duncan
2010s - LeBron
2020s - Curry
Starting five: Curry, Jordan, LeBron, Duncan and Kareem
Bench: Robertson, Bird and Russell
Small ball: Curry, Jordan, Bird, LeBron and Duncan
Size: Robertson, Jordan, LeBron Duncan and Kareem
Defense: Robertson, Jordan, LeBron, Duncan and Russell
I asked myself why don’t I watch JJ podcast more often.. I found the my answer in this segment 😂😂😂😂 no Jordan or ShaQ and we supposed to let you choose the defend the earth team
You picked scotty over jordan and shaq crazy lmao
If you have MJ you don’t need Kobe
I’ll take Russell from the 50’s, Wilt from the 60’s, Kareem from 70’s, then Magic, MJ, LeBron, and Curry and I’ll take my chances with that team
You don’t need Jordan with this team. You got Lebron and Kobe already. The team needs a do it all sidekick, Scottie is it.
I’d take Rodman over Pippen...you want versatile defending then that’s the move. He also wouldn’t get in the way and need to be “given shots.” Also if he can be the peacekeeper bw America and North Korea then I’m rocking with him.
You would want 80s Rodman. 80s Rodman was still quick enough to guard 1-5. 90s Rodman was slower on the perimeter.
Yes.
PG Steph (20’s) - Big O (60’s)
SG Jordan (90’s)
SF Bron (10’s) - Elgin Baylor (50’s)
PF Bird (80’s)
C Kareem (70’s) - Shaq (00’s)
This team has size, athleticism, versatility, shooting, IQ, and will to win.
GUARDS
- Steph has an elite handle, provides spacing as the best shooter ever, and wreaks havoc moving without the ball.
- Jordan is the ultimate scorer and perimeter defender. Provides elite finishing at the rim and in the clutch.
- Big O provides playmaking and scoring, with elite rebounding for the guard position.
FORWARDS
- Bron is a freak athlete and basketball savant. He controls the pace while providing scoring, playmaking and rebounding.
- Bird provides shooting/spacing, rebounding and playmaking.
- Baylor is a versatile athlete off the bench, providing elite scoring and rebounding.
CENTERS
- Kareem & Shaq dominate the post, while providing great rebounding and rim protection.
elgin is more of a 60s player
I’d pick Sam Bowie to play against the aliens. No one has ever picked Sam because of positional fit and regretted it later.
As soon as JJ skipped the 90s I knew MJ wasn’t going to make the team 🤣
2010 Lebron is basically a way better Scottie Pippen. So I'd rather have redundancy with Jordan and Kobe. That said, good to see Pippen getting props. He was the originator of the point forward role and the best perimeter defender of his time.
Would be awesome if one day JJ could get Lebron on the podcast
1950’s: Bill Russell
1960’s: Jerry West
1970’s: Bill Walton
1980’s: Larry Bird
