because KAT is soft on defense dont do the dirty work he just pure scorer if he has k love or garnett toughness on defense and rebound they dont need gobert and can lure offensive superstar.

KAT has been loyal and selfless to his teammates and the fans, especially with the Gobert trade. Make no mistake, he’s been instrumental in developing Ant into a superstar. KAT is an all-time talent and a great teammate, no cap

Until the first thing out of melo's mouth was that he would check kat. So he'd join a contending team and the first thing he'd do is confront one of the all-stars and nuke the team chemistry? Melo was always a scorer and not a winner. Chauncy said it best "Melo would raw-raw and build up his teammates when he dropped 40 and the team lost, but if the team won and he only scored 15 he'd pout and be upset"

With Melo it depends on his mindset. If he plays the way he did in NY from 12-14 and doesn’t ball stop and is willing to let it fly from 3 than he’s the perfect 2nd scoring option for basically every team. I’d love him as a 4 playing next to Joel on the Sixers.

I was at the 2004 (first ever) playoff series clinching game 5.....KG Got his MVP trophy, and Melo willed his nuggets, Single-handedly will his team to a win and a couple really close Games against the loaded Wolves team. Thought for sure It was a preview of 2 excellent teams and talents who would meet for years further into the playoffs. Well, I was at least half right?

Great answers, although JJ's was kind of a copout, I feel like picking Denver or Boston is boring cause their starting lineups are so stacked. Personally I'd love to see Melo on this current Indiana team, with Tyrese, Pascal, and Myles Turner. What Melo said about wishing he had a high level facilitator in his prime is exactly what I was thinking about, and I think those bigs would fit well with him too. JJ I would love to see on the Thunder, they could start him at the two and move Josh Giddey to the bench. I always thought that role was better for Giddey, being the primary facilitator for the bench unit. Shai running the offense, JJ's shooting, Dort's defense, J Dub's all around game, and Chet as a 3 and D big man with a little dribbling and passing as well. That team would be my favorite to win it all even over Denver and Boston, and the fit would just be amazing to watch.

Wolves with melo would be nasty. You could swap out mcdaniels or KAT depending on if you want more offense/defense, and their team defense would allow melo to focus primarily on offense. Then add a motivated Conley, Gobert’s paint d, and of course ANT, that’s a championship roster easy

But melo has to have the ball in his hands 15+ seconds of the shot clock to really cook. And when he cooks...look out! But it would screw up the chemistry of both those teams.
