It's time to head to New Folsom. For this mission however, there are two approaches. Either we side with Nova or we side with Tosh. There is only one choice that can be made.

If I remember correctly; Abathur will confirm the zergling's weakness to lemon juice in HotS.
Hahaha nice
yes he is, but only when no other unit unlocked except zergling in evolution chamber he will say that and must wait for minutes or so until he say that
My theory: the Baneling originated as a Zergling exposed to lemon juice.
And all this time what marines needed was water pistols filled with lemon juice...
@@MaddieFrankX Well, that would be fine for zerglings, but good luck trying to kill a charging ultralisk by spraying it in the eyes with lemon juice, it is only the zerglings that are allergic.
TOSH for CO-OP
Pls blizzard
OMG that would be epic. Mass spector rush lol
Yep this would be awesome.
It would be cool to have spectres in co-op... I'm just not sure what else he would have.
At the very least he'd probably have Diamondbacks. We don't really see that in other Terran commanders, just Stukov but his are infested so that doesn't count. I always imagine him being the Terran equivalent of Vorazun when this topic comes up though.
he'd also probably have those mechanic panthers from WoL, never saw them ever since
Lowko - "What should I be getting the research for next? Let me know down in the comments..."
Entire Comment Section of Every Video in this Series - "UPGRADE YOUR STATIC DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!"
god damn right
ferallemur bronze league heroes tactic he cant win if he cant get in
AI. C. the last mission is a only deffending mission, and without all the upgrade quite hard. the Planetary fortress and the armored bunkers would have been better choices too
Upvoting for awareness and agreement.
Help him know before it's too late LUL
I love that in heart of the swarm, they continue on the tale of the lemon juice. Abuther says its a weird side effect, confirming that it's true
Lemonade stands for the war front! We shall mass produce lemon shells!
@@MalevolentSpirit234 Rearm the gauss rifles with lemon juice bullets!
Lemonjuicebats too!
"Do you know who i am?! I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that'll burn your house down!"
Lemonheads = ammo
When life gives you lemons, _dominate the Koprulu Sector!_
Classic Lowko, give him a definsive option, he'll never use it
Watching lowko frustrates me a lot.
Tosh's mission is much, MUCH more interesting than Nova's. And down with Mengsk.
Plus, if he's still alive and Nova keeps getting her memories back like she is in her campaign then there's a chance the two will rekindle their old relationship. If he's dead, then she'd have to live with killing her fiancée.
Invest in defense structure. Believe me when I say this, when fully upgraded you can hold off armies no problem. Especially when you have mercenaries inside the bunkers to defend.
Lowko btw if u press x u get an amazing shield
just letting u know
entire time im yelling in my head "hit x hit x hit x"
I was practically yelling at my screen when he let Tosh die because he wouldn't use the shield
The game even flat out told him 'Hey! Just FYI there's this handy shield thing you can use!' And he immediately forgets it. Feels bad man.
Also, side note: How the hell can a guy be so good at micro gaming and so terrible at tactical play?
entire game i was wondering how he can forget about one of three skills he got
Remember Nova Expansion? Well, he's bad at MOBA-like gameplay.
Great choice tosh makes the campain so much better and that is actually the cannon choice. Nova doesn't add anything and you can replay her mission any day whenever you want. Also she lies the doctor tells raynor after the mission.
Ps. Upgrate your static deffence, it will realy usefull in future missions.
On top of everything Spectres can ultimately be upgraded to being the only Terran non-Hero unit in the game to have an effectively unlimited cloak.
I was bored once and beat the entire space platform mission for the invasion of Char using nothing but Spectres. Massing them usually means they will end up easily killing anything they come across while taking nearly no-losses.
ghosts have that upgrade too. plus one with +2 weapon and +3 sigth range
Yeah ... ghosts get perma-cloaking and bonus range that actually makes them outrange brood lords while bunkered. Plus an instant-cast snipe ability, which is a hell of a lot more useful for sniping detectors than the spectres' version which has to charge for several seconds and is also a 100k+ tech upgrade. I wish I could love spectres as much as I love choosing Tosh but generally speaking if I side with Tosh, I never use the spectres. On the other hand if I use ghosts, I use them a lot. Haven't checked out the basic stats yet to see how the two compare.
@@Nurk0m0rath I know this is late but u might wanna think twice about this considering that spectres have a stun abillity which is amazing and that their version of the snipe can target mechanical units as well as buildings too
@@KeanuCheems While that may be true, it's too frequently the case that while spectres charge up their ability, some detector flies in range and kills them. It's like a battlecruiser's yamato cannon but with a longer charge and fewer hit points to spare. I tried a few spectre heavy games after posting this and their auto-attack is fantastic vs armored, but I still find most of their abilities too hard to use.
You've made an excellent choice Mr. Lowko.
FluffyWaffle_02 !fluffy
Haven't watched the video but I read that with Tosh's voice so I'm getting my hopes up
I KNEW I COULD COUNT ON YOU BRUDDAH
Yep, Tosh is actually the canon choice. Because even if you picked Nova, in Heart of the Swarm, Nova wouldn't let Jim leave.
Well all facts considered choosing between Tosh or Nova is trying to pick lesser evil. Srsly if you check their backstory - Tosh is somewhat crazy and mentally unstable at times (not because of spectre programm, he kinda was like that before it) and Nova got mind-wiped so many times she can rival Morgan Yu of Prey 2017 fame in that regard - you can't trust her cause it is never obvious which Nova it is - the one who worked with you or the one who got already mind-wiped and now will shoot you w/o second thought. Both kinda get better - Tosh becomes actually loyal enough to suggest a plan of breaking Jim out of prison (still a psycho, but hey at least he cares now). Nova leaves Dominion so no more mind-wiping bullshit for her... Hopefully.
From Jimmy's view during WoL it goes like that "Nova works on Dominion and comes from nowhere. Tosh is kinda shady but got us money and releasing political prisoners will help our cause... So i suppose we go with Tosh as it will help us more." Basically if you think about it his choice was a pragmatic choice - and after the mission he clearly states that there is no place for people like him after the revolution clearly not being too proud about the things he had to do. Cause you know... This prison had a lot of political prisoners... But also a lot of real ones... Ya know the guys who kill, steal, burn and stuff.
25 minutes in, and all I can say is "dude, use your shield".
Tank mercs and upgrades are expensive, so you might want to keep those credits for now Lowko. Or spend them on static defenses :D
Yes!! True, you can't afford all upgrades if I remember that right
About 70% of upgrades with all mercs.
Well. It worked for me during the last mission with nydus canals. Good combo with planetary fortress
Do Nova mission as well from the archives.
I'm still confuse of the archived missions, the one that is undone. does it add the bonus credits/ghost into your game or nah?
It doesn't, but you get the chance to play the other side.
It's weird, because you can actually go back to a mission where you missed bonus objectives and get their reward, but not in this case.
I still dunno, where to get archive missions from Wings of Liberty campaign. I see only challenges
On the Bridge.
There is a console in the background which lets you access the archive.
Mordador many thanks
No regrets, in my opinion, Tosh has the better character and mission
actually I prefer the Nova mission. I like the options Dominate gives me, like should I run and abduct the Raven, or should I go for the Siege tank, etc
Lowko, after playing a MOBA for the past 30mins:
"I think the enemy might be producing units too"
SC2 has an interesting way of dealing with player choice: they do matter, but no matter what you pick, further events show your choice as the right one to make.
I Love the fact that as soon as a unit has more than one ability lowko manages to totally forgets about the second one
Tosh is the perfect choice. But it'll be fun if you also play the Nova mission, just to compare.
True, plus, it makes me feel a bit sad, because Tosh is one of my favorite characters in all of Starcraft 2.
Toshs Mission is best in the whole campaign.
It's pretty cool but I like the one in the tunnels of Char better.
TheHalogen131 yeah that one's fantastic
The end mission cinematic for helping Nova is quite funny
Speaking of Tosh for Coop, a mission in this style could be very fun and totally unlike the other scenarios we have so far.
why did u only use the shield 1 time? would have saved u from dying.....
Sheld doesnt deal damage. If an ability doesnt deal damage Lowko doesnt remember it.
so thats why lowko keep spamming dat Consumption, eager to damage his allies all the time
lol~
Just Lowko things =)
Because he isn’t very smart
Lowko use your abilities 0.o
this is my favourite kind of missions, controling a hero while your allies just keep sending soldiers to support you
You are going to regret not maxing all research on defence when you get to the last few missions on brutal lowko
Upgrade your firebats and marauders so you can make a bio army with a beefy front line.
You can complete the other mission, the nova one from the Mission Archive without harming the progress,so we can see the other side of the story.
Fun fact: Zerglings are ACTUALLY allergic to lemon juice! In HOTS when selecting the Zergling, if you wait long enough he'll say "Must fix Zergling lemon juice allergy..."
This game came out 8 years ago, but you're explaining it to us like it's new information.
Love the recap you do at the start of every mission. Makes things so much more integral.
Great choice, the Tosh mission is one of my personal favorites.
also, its worth it too do both missions to get the research and story in
Woohoo! You made the right choice Lowko! Tosh is awesome! I was so thrilled when you pick him!
u did a good job joining Tosh , and after u finish the campaign you can replay the missions which you didn't choose during this let's play .They are definitely worth playing and show some good clips too that are interesting to watch.
double repair SCVs are absolutely crucial in the odin missions
Yes, please also do the Nova Mission =D
And if you're interested, there're also two books about Nova and Tosh
Starcraf:Ghost: Nova
and
Starcraft Ghost: Spectres
they're the reason, why picking Nova was a no-brainer for me ;)
I am too late for the party, but after watching the cartooned playthru I decided to watch the SC2 one,so yeah.
When a guy calls you brother he is your friend, brother!
I hope Tosh gets his own mission packs
There is a part on the Hearth of the Swarm campaign where abathur talks about that lemon juice ad haha it was sooo fun to hear that lemon juice could have indeed be a super weapon
For the love of god, why wouldnt he use the shield ability? Thats just painful to watch :D
He's good at microing but forgets everything that doesn't do damage
Why dont you use the shield for the siege tanks.
Boris Mitic because tvp has a difficult time with dealing those shields...
In the upgrade for the supply depots, the sentence about "our new understanding of Protoss architecture" and how it allows supply depots to survive being dropped from orbit is a direct result from Stetman's notes about the sturdiness of the protoss crystal matrix. I'm guessing the improved microfilters was derived from studying how the crystal got pure energy from the sphere above it.
The post-mission movie when you side with Nova is pretty funny in a way.
Favourite episode of this series so far. Excellent choice Lowko!
I'm So Proud Of You Lowko, You Make The Right Decision
3 years late to the party but I'm glad we went with Tosh.
Also, comments are good for the CZcams algorithm :)
Did this guy forget he has a SHIELD.
People who pick Tosh: Bru'thas
People who pick Nova: 12 year olds lookin' for booty.
Disregard the people who prefer specters or ghosts. They don't count.
^^
Voodoo be cray cray mon we be usin dem dollz tha bring bad mojo upon dem enamiez
People who Pick Tosh = They just like him a lot
People who Pick Nova = Maybe playing the campange not for the first time and want to follow the Plot (Tosh is in HotS dead anyways)
Synka no not really tosh is actually alive in hots they mention him when kerrigan talks to horner n boyz
The answer is supposed to be one of those that changes based on what you did in WoL.
Anyone else spend the whole mission screaming internally for Lowko to use the damn shield ability? Especially when he died!
Nova lies to you about spectres (as revealed by Hanson), doesnt join you or let you go in HotS if you help her. Tosh, if you help him, stays with you till the end, you can talk with him endlessly, get badass spectres, AND he volunteers to help save Raynor when he gets captured. There really is only one choice here.
You should also try the other mission through the master archives.
I recommend upgrading Vultures. Keep in mind that in the last mission you will have a lot of minerals but lack of gas. Since vultures are mineral based, they are perfect for that mission, because the mines also help you defend.
I was really enjoying this play through and was worried I would have to stop watching but you picked Tosh so we're good
The screams of the Ghosts dying hurts me so much...
The highest tech unit upgrades get pretty expensive, the only reason you may want to save credits, other than that, spend away. Get that weapon upgrade for the marauder to slow down enemies and toss one into the bunkers with marines to great affect.
Save up for later tech Lowko
BTW, the info text on the zerg tank and the crystal are always a description about the techs you can choose (so stronger buildings -> enable orbital drop). In the previous texts this was more obvious to me.
In fact the cannonic history says that Jim Raynor help Tosh .
In the wiki fan of blizzard or whatever says that Tosh hasn’t die like it would do If you choose Nova .
But you did a really nice choice lowko:)
I think Lowko really undervalues the benefit of ignoring 300 damage
I'd recommend saving your credits for the Command Center and seige tank upgrades. All 4 are insanely helpful. You may also want to take another look at the bunker and turret upgrades as final mission prep.
21:25 poor medic :c
the deathcry hurts 😂
THANK GOD! I was really afraid you were going to make the wrong choice... don't forget to talk to Hanson now!
Novas cut scene at the end is the better one by far tbh,
Lowko, Remember this moment. Because your choice this video is effect some ester egg in HotS.
That first tosh death was so unnecessary it made me kinda mad when you didn't use the shield, but either way love your videos lowko
We really need coop missions like these.
I mean I guess you technically can with one playing as like dehaka or any other hero commander, but still.
hey lowko, 2 things:
1) You think you have a lot of credits now but the upgrades for high tech such as battle cruisers or siege tanks are REALLY expensive, so its not a bad idea to save up.
2) thanks for choosing tosh, best character in the storyline haha :D
"I'll try and play it safe, not take any unnecessary risks." He says as he completely ignores his 300 hp shield button.
Just Lowko things.
Lowko, just fyi, Stetman's research notes as the specimens grow relates to the research they unlock. Learning about the Protoss warp technology unlocking instant depots and micro-filtering etc. 😁
Jesus, can you imagine the kind of sniper rifle that can demolish a fortified structure like the bunker?
Scary.
I support your choice in supporting Tosh, Lowko. Try getting the bunker range upgrade. And spectre permanent upgrade.
19:35 I've plated WoL several times and never noticed that place to walk around them... I feel dumb now.
I loved your choice, when I played I choosed Nova, and now I have the opportunity to see the history differently! Thanks hehe
Half an hour of screaming 'SHIELD! You have a SHIELD!' at my screen, wonderful. xD
Come on Lowko the Z is a waste of energy, X is OP
Please do nova from the archives
Also make sure to play the accompanying cinematic from the Archives right afterwards.
My God! Seeing those upgrades makes me want to get back to that..... like right now!!
11:43
This is a lot like that moment in Mass Effect 2 where you choose between saving a colony or saving a military base from nuke on a small side mission.
i like in the invasion on the umojan protectorate, you can see spectres being used by the dominion
Lowko the raven sparen so quickly, cause a tech reactor can make 2 ravens at once.
Get the vulture tech, I don't want to spoil, but it will be VERY helpful in the last mission!
1) Save credits, don't spend everything. You will be able to buy upgrades for higher tier units sooner.
2) Marauder - concussive shells is really good upgrade. Does not cost much and totally worth it.
There is a really good comic series about nova and toshs backstory
Well Lowko, if you are interested and want to have a "complete" let's play, check out the mission archive and play the Nova mission. That way you can both showcase what it is like on Brutal and check out the "What If" scenario.
It would be cool if you do that for the other future choices as well.
>picks Tosh
"My Man"👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Tosh needs his own campaign in my opinion
boy when you play PVP you are a god, when you do these missions its like you never played this game seriously. Mind boggling.
I'm going to be the umpteenth person to say it, but Lowko, please do play through every mission, like the mission you get when you choose Nova from the archives. They are fun missions, and everyone would like to see you do them. There was also a mission in SC1 you left out because you chose the other option (the physics labs vs nuke silos choice), some of us are still waiting on you to go back for that :)
38:41 haha they mostly look like brothers
its crazy that Tosh and Nova use to be together
If you wanted to stop the ravens from spawning you should' ve started shooting the tech reactor instead of the starport. Tech reactor has lower health and tech lab is necessary to construct ravens. Except for the shield use, good job. Love your comments on some random details I would've looked over.
you made the correct choice General Lowko
You've made a great choice Mr. Lowko
Well, Tosh is both a superior story choice as well as the better gameplay one. Spectres are amazing units. Psionic lash is basically a man-portable Yamato Gun. I recommend it, as well as perma-cloak for spectres. Don't worry, a lot of high-spec upgrades are really pricy. That 300k will be gone in just a second.
Spectres and Ghosts share one thing: Hatred to turret
It was initially frustrating for me to get the Jailhouse Rock achievement; the real trick is to not let enemies, particularly siege tanks, past you so they can attack the Raiders. This will help them push up easier, and if you stay behind the Marauders where possible, they can tank hits you'd normally take. The _real_ changes between Hard and Brutal is that siege tanks are replaced with the stronger and more resilient Siege Breakers, you're generally fighting more powerful mercenary enemies, and you get fewer nukes--if you can get through on Hard, you have the base laid out for Brutal.
Dusk Wings, Hel's Angels, Jackson's Revenge, and other mercs? Not there on Hard.
Strategy courtesy of RTS Legend.
TANKS UPGRADES ARE A MUST LOWKO
Ja Bruddah! All the cool kids follow Vol'ji- I mean...Tosh
Either ghosts or spectres will be used in the further campaigns.
