I love SupCom for it's strategy and teamplay. It's more like real battlefield than any other rts. I love Starcraft for it's mindgames. It's more like a chess game, where every move is already known, so the game transcends into something more than what is happening on the board.

I love these Evolution games. So refreshing and nostalgic at the same time! BTW I remember back in a day reading the reavers where a tribute to Hayao Miyazaki's Ohmu giant insects from "Nausicaa of the valley of the wind" Anime/Manga.

I would like to see anyone try to beat Clem playing sc2 Terran.

Scarlett had awful micro and situational awareness in these games. Still, it's always fun to watch her play style.

I remember in the BW, the scraps act like the spider mine, that rush to nearby enemy, wait for like 1 sec, then explode. In this version the scraps looks like a very powerful projectile, and is big improvement over the BW version. but anyway, the improved game mechanism really helps the reaver to become a powerful unit, especially with a transport

The only thing i want them to add from WarCraft 3 is the ability to spread your army into formations easily. Imagine being able to split quickly or clump.

I don't know if this mod is particularly well-balanced or not at the professional level, but I quite like it. In fact, I'd even say I've enjoyed your videos way more than the SC2 matches. And a quick glance at the comment section seems to agree with this feeling. Hell, if this was a SC2 video, half the comments would be "HE DID IT! HE SAID THE THING! TWO TIMES!", but this time it feels like a lot more people are commenting on their enjoyment of the video itself. I think that is quite something!

Reavers > Disruptors. Not even close. Another possible mod tho I dont know how they would do it, is to combine SC1 roster with SC2 roster and give the player to customize it like in the campaign.

The Reaver's design was almost certainly inspired by the Ohmu from the Studio Ghibli movie Nausicaa

the problem i see with sc1 protoss is they are super slow. their powerful but slow they are.

Thinking about the probe steal and what you can do with it. First what you shouldn't be able to do is use protoss units to a overwhelm the protoss. No matter what you build the protoss will be leagues ahead on tech for that. There aren't many combos unlike with terran who could potentially build medivacs to heal high value units or even keep an flying death ball topped off. But what you can do is cheese the protoss with protoss units. 1. You can build a nexus and recall, but more importantly you can build a mother ship to do an aggressive forward teleport and recall your army back. Depending on enemy army position you can potentially take free bases and get back to defend against counter attacks. 2. The motherships cloak is an automatic bonus for messing with the opponent, they now have to have observers with army and if they get sniped that's going to be an expensive loss. 3. Another one for mothership column, time warp, being able to hit the Protoss army with a that ability every 89 seconds. Do it once they will be annoyed, do it 2+ times and they will be on forums demanding nerfs. 4. Build oracles and abuse stasis traps. Sure people can cope with them but dealing with those traps on top of dealing with all the variables zerg inherently brings is going to get overwhelming if you put enough traps out there. 5. Sentry - While guardian shield may have a questionable value against end-game protoss units. A strategic placement of force fields against an opponent that was only expecting a zerg bag of tricks is kind of mean. 6. Lastly my favorite. Why didn't you build detection for dark zealot backdoors? because you thought you were playing against a zerg.

Feels like diamond or plat level play out of the zerg. Serral would have been stealing the protoss' bases by the 15 minute mark.

I do really enjoy these SC Evo casts. I played MUCH more Broodwar when I was young than I ever played SC2. I hope they continue to very carefully make balance adjustments while pulling Broodwar into the SC2 engine. Hopeful to see more pro player games on this mod 🤞🏼

I love Broodwar strats being used in SC2. I remember some SC1+2 show matches and would love to see that come back so we can see reaver drops with warp prisms

For those who are curious about the graphics of the Reaver, it produces what is called Scarabs, the things that explode. The Reaver is meant to look like the real life Larvae of a real life Scarab.

You can easily see how much that protoss is F2ing in the first game... All those high templar deaths with energy and dark archons... Such sad, much bad micro. I wonder what's his eapm is?
