- In an abandoned city before a tropical storm, a woman decides to stay...
Through this film, our ambition was to portray a particular ambience and feeling more than a heavy storyline. We (Patrick Harboun, Ronan Le Fur and Joaquim Montserrat) worked on it for 6 months within our studies at Supinfocom, a French CG animation school.
The soundtrack was composed by Christophe Julien.

16 years later and i still think about this film often.
Superb nuance in feeling. In nature, the wind, crackling electricity, waves... In the young woman, her chest rising and falling with breath, sadness in her eyes. Very sweet, even with the unhappy end.
Loneliness, Despair, Relief, and finally Peace... these were the emotions I perceived as the film developed. Super! Continuez comme ça.

That was stunning. All I could do was sit and stare at my screen holding my breath. Incredibly realistic. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience of this short film.
Wow, the end made me get chills, that piano was beautiful, and the tree was amazing. Wow...
I can't say anything...Sadness,beauty,pain...and a true hope of resurrection...what more?...

You succeeded in creating the ambience. Her struggle to not let go of the summer is clear and even moved to the last dot of light (lampost) there was in the darkness. However, autumn coloured leaves would have blown right off that tree in such a storm.

It always puzzles me how people can dislike a movie like this, it`s obviously took a long time to make, and is made with a lot of passion, by people at the top of their profession (switching to another channel is more easy than pressing the small dislike button) Great upload, tnx for sharing !!!
I love how this transcends animation. Its not the best graphics, but its given such an incredible feel that it really haunts you.
I loved how you showed her feelings with simply face expressions but still kept it mysterious so you can imagine what happened for yourself :)

I love the use of light and color in this short.
And so much attention to detail. The wind blowing through the palm fronds at 0:22, the texture of the bear at 1:52, the wind blowing through the foliage at 2:32. So great.
And the music REALLY adds to the atmosphere.

Wow, this is so good. I showed my teacher this after school and left before he got to finish it.... I think he might have enjoyed it though. I know I did! It's so deep.... There's no words to really express how well this video is....

That was beauticul...I cried when I watched it. The ambiance was amazing, and the perspective that you used to take some of the shots perfectly illustrated just how alone the woman was. I have been through a couple of storms, and I know the feeling...I haven't been alone like that though. A masterpiece.

Ideas can be grouped in many ways, some of them are brilliant and others are insignificant, and most of them are unnoticed.
I really didn't get just one particular feeling from this movie. And the last view of the tree was just beautiful, wish I could have that as my desktop.

For those of you who don't see a story line, it only shows your shallowness. This is THE story... life, and death. It is the only thing we ALL have in common. It is obvious, also, how very much alive she felt before death, filled with human emotion. Beautifully done.

very thought provoking video. i agree with a few of the previous comments that the woman seemed like she needed a *little* work at times, but then there were other moments where here movements were very fluid. i loved that you could see her breathing change as the emotion of the video got more intense. great use of color and you hit the ambiance you were going for dead on. it really drew me in and i wanted to know more about her character. fantastic job!
