@@jrodd13 Ultimate players do better in Melee than Melee players do in Ultimate because more transfers over but yeah, they don't do that good in each other's games.

@@minato_ok0264 1) Edge guarding Steve IS NOT the same as edge guarding every character. You can't fool me with your bluster, acting like edge guarding Steve is the easiest thing in the world.
2) Shiny Mark's edge guarding IS exceptional. The commentators know that Steve's recovery is down-right criminal. Which is precisely why they also freak out when Shiny Mark claps him. It's because it ain't no small thing.

Yeah, Icies are nothing like they were in Brawl and Melee. They actually take work to play as, and by work, I mean spending who knows how long pouring your blood, sweat, and tears into getting desync combos as consistently as humanly possible only for the character to still be low mid tier and take more inputs to play than any traditional fighting game.
Icies players in Ultimate are f*cking DEDICATED lol

@@Ghoats Yeah, it's always a treat to see a good Icies player! They're extremely rare to find in this game since they're by FAR the most difficult character to play as, but when you do, it's absolutely terrifying. Icies mains are easily the most dedicated playerbase to their character, I swear!

Good to know that Melee skill does not exactly correlate to Ultimate skill that's for sure
I'm sure there's some carryover in fundamentals and understanding of basic fighting game stuff, but you do have to learn new physics, new move details for 26 characters, and 60 more new characters on top of that
There fundamental smash skill but that’s not enough sometimes
a lot carries over in terms of fundies, but the thing with ult is that there are so many characters who can play their own game and matchup check you badly if you don't know how they work

As a Project+/Melee Ganon main, its *painful* to watch Ganon in ult. Hes just sooooo bad. Without movement tech, he's just so slow and clunky. And his recovery was already one of his biggest weaknesses, why would they take away his double jump refresh after Down B and make it worse??
