- Replacing worn out 1957 Chevrolet steering box with fresh rebuilt 15:1 ratio manual unit. Difficulty level. Not too bad. Music by that most excellent band "Sleazy Mancini". See them live. Buy their music. See Ralph's car.
There’s no way I would’ve watched the entire video if it wasn’t for that music, good choice.
Doing a future change in my 57. This video is really informative, boosted my confidence for doing it myself. Great music!
Great video
Nice job , I needed this video
I'm doing my 55s steering shaft, your video helped a lot, thanks
Cool. Thanks. I just switched over to power front wheel disc brakes. I'll post that video soon.
What is that music? Awesome
Cool video, I am about to do the same thing today to my 210. I saw you replaced the parts holding steering wheel. Good idea. []
Group sounds like the Vetures, enjoyed the music.
Thank you Jeffery. Front disc brake conversion is next.My Father gave me this car when I turned 15. Way back in 1973. Everyone told me I would sell it when I grew up. I guess I never grew up. Hope you get to see Sleazy Mancini live. If you do, be sure to show Ralph your 57. They get around.
Bobby Jack Pack Jr. Let me know if they hit DC area.
Nice video and thanks for the music too.
I thought this video was replacing gearbox you just showed us how to remove it. thanks
AFTER changing to front disc brakes, I found my steering gear box was shot. (I assumed it was the pitman arm assembly; I assumed wrong. Now it looks like I will have to remove the proportioning valve (and maybe the booster?). In order to have enough room to remove and replace the steering box.☹
How do I know what length of shaft I should get? For example: Lares offers 36-1/8" & 36-1/4"
Thanks great video
Thanks I need to do today I ken doing dis video I no have to do thanking
The click-bait ninja got me!!! Nonetheless, nice vid.
Going to try this process on my wife.
Clutch pedal with automatic tranmision 🤔🤔🤔🧐🧐🧐
random question, do you still have the old box? the bad one? I need to chop a section of the shaft to use in a conversion.
No, I'm sorry I don't.
Guess I have to do this just to remove instrument cluster
