- Here is my latest van tour, after so many upgrades and changes I thought it was about time that I updated you wonderful people on the changes since I made my last tour video - Lots have changed and I am guessing there are still more changes to come in the not too distant future.

Sad day, Colin, I'm now permanently vanless.
After four years of travelling (just about) every day in Gandhi, my beautiful bay leaf green T6.1, I've had to call it a day. Poor health and advancing years (nearly 70 of them) have made it more difficult to go camping, more difficult to use it as my everyday car and I couldn't stand the thought of it sitting on my driveway looking sad and lonely.
Don't worry though, I'm staying subscribed and you won't hear the last of me on here or on the DOC Facebook thingy.
Keep up the travels, the vids and the photography mate, and hopefully we'll bump into each other one day 👍 nice!!

It's just a new chapter in your life. You can adventure in different ways now buddy..

Brilliant video and so right about the pop-top rule of thumb, in the wind. Last year I was on a beach front campsite & in the night, a storm started and was blowing at 40mph!!!! I couldn’t get the roof down in fear of bending the struts but thankfully, the roof stayed solid! 😅 Never want a repeat of that again!

Will have to do the centre console solution for our van, cup holder we have are 💩 and cups constantly fall out.
Great vid. I got a shuttle T5. Need to set out the back. Want a “sofa” down one side and a “worktop” down the other All will be hand made (all about saving the monies). Few ideas here that I’ll be implementing. Cheers for the great down to earth no bs vids. Great stuff !!

1st - no idea how that happened.
Nice update - some interesting additions, and I have probably watched the videos of updates you have produced and watched the progress of this one.
And the toilet cover is the best bit of kit you ever suggested - I successfully bought one before the company quietly disappeared off the face of the earth - no matter how hard I try looking - and I know they were Spanish, but they are no longer able to do these wonderful items.
I keep meaning to ask if you miss your sink/hob. Now I don’t need to 👍🏻

Hey buddy, with lots of swearing 😂😂 I got light tint film from a local supplier in Bradford. Used a heat gun and had about 6 attempts before getting it right 😂

Great video with some great updates to your van, I like the rubber band around the pop top, what did you use and where did you get it.
Ah thanks so much, it's called a pop top bungee, type that in Google and loads will come up. They are all pretty much the same :)

Hiya I like the idea of connecting the Delta up to wall socket. How did you do that?
It's just a desk mounted extension lead plugged directly in to the ecoflow and then I drilled a hole in the cabinet to mount it ;)

Hey, I don't have a video on it as it's not really an install. I take it out in summer so it just slots in on the extending curtain pole temporarily when in use then gets removed :)

Hey buddy, that's awesome news. We use a harness and a seat belt attachment (clips in to an empty seat belt holder) hope that helps

Yes I fitted it, it's not brilliant though. If I had another go I'd get somebody else to do it 😂

So I have a T5 (non converted van). How would you feel about someone tabbing along for a few days this year (I have 10 days holiday left for work and need an escape). Got the kit to soundproof and insulation (not installed yet)
Want to create a vid from T5 shuttle standard to a full on camper. Not started yet… DOH. But will be starting very soon

do you know there is a new MOT rule for changing head lights. If you only change the bulb for an LED then it is an MOT fail. You have to change the whole light and dedicated to a LED housing, to pass the MOT. I bought some ledperf LED light bulbs and asked my garage to fit them, he said he could but he would immediately have to fail the van on the next MOT because of the new rule.

Having spoken to the MOT centre today. The daytime running lights aren't an issue. If the main beam has been incorrectly upgraded (and some other stuff he said that I didn't listen to 🤣) then it could be an issue :)
So you also suffer from boredom buying off of eBay as well 😉 maybe we should start up a help group for like minded people 😁
Nice video but where do you put your clothes, mine or should I say my wife’s take up most of my largest cupboard 🤣🤣
I convinced my wife to use those packing cubes - and gave her the same number as me - mine look fine, hers look distorted and so jammed packed that I fear for the zips. 🤣

Haha thanks buddy. We put our clothes in suitcases or over night bags. So much easier that way.
Especially if we go on a longer trip, having a suitcase each makes everything so much easier for us, the cases go in the awning :)
