The Cadac is really good, I use bbq mats cut to size to keep the griddle clean and are easy to clean. Enjoy

My 4 favourite mods/add ons for the Cadac SC2.
First is a spare wind guard - after doing bbq it fills with grease so you need another one to boil the kettle for clean up. It fits in the bag stacked with the original no problem.
Second is a QD gas connector. You do need to drill some holes in the legs or they won’t fold away, but not having to screw the gas connector on every time is helpful.
The 3rd is the “half and half” plate (half solid, half perforated) Great for breakfast as you can do fried or scrambled eggs on the solid bit whilst doing sausages or sausage patties on the other side - I’ve even done baked beans on the solid bit to heat them.
The 4th and final extra isn’t a Cadac part; it’s a 9" round bbq wire rack. Use the solid plate, put the wire rack on this and then cover with the upturned pan. You can cook under this like it’s an oven, but things don’t burn as they are not in contact with the hot base - a bit like the wire racks in a real oven, amazing for croissants and other breakfast pastries.
The Cadac really is all you need, with some gas obviously.

Look into a Cadac Paella pan. Absolutely class and the most nonstick pan I've ever seen. Fits perfectly on a safari chef 2. Cook anything in it. You're welcome 😉
Another great video. Looking forward to doing the walks by the Strid when we are there later this year. We have got the same Cadac and the pizza stone is one of our best buys. 👍
That river was intriguing, the power of nature eh. I was about to ask about how you managed to keep the Cadac so clean and new looking 😂 we have one of them and they are great. We use the Cadac ones (500ml I think) and the gas seems to last ages. At home have a quick release for the big gas tank but the smaller ones (about a tenner) will fit in the pocket on the bag so keeps it all tidy. Only complaint i have is I somehow broke the igniter and have to light it with a lighter. Looked a great dish! Yummy 🤤
Nice site, shame there’s not more flat areas in the field, £12 per night is good, wonder what size camper they cut off at (ours is 6m). Yorkshire Dales are almost always 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 as magical.

Hi Colin after watching vid I bought a cadac safari chef 30 plus what I thought was the correct regulator /hose for a campingaz 907 🤔 unfortunately it wasn't. What am looking for am starting to get hungry😃

Colin if you look at the cadac bag and the zipped top you will see that it unzips and you will find 2 pockets for the 2 plates, don’t rattle in there 👍

Those Cadac Safari Chefs are great and we love ours but we had heard and indeed ours did it just over a year old and the ignitor goes faulty. Just means we have one of those little lighter things which works well. Oh yeah the Pizza Stone is ace but dust the stone with semolina so the pizza doesn’t stick.

I've been to the Strid. The story of the couple who fell in and their bodies only reappeared months later told me all I needed to know. Deadly beauty indeed. The campsite looks brilliant, Colin. Can I ask if the gas on the shelving unit was camping gaz and if so, are they refillable? I have to get a replacement for my 3.9 kilo calor bottle and its replacement 6kg one is too big for my van. Kenny, you can get a 3.9 kg replacement for Calor from Flogas. Good supply. Bottle is about 12mm taller than Calor container.
