This is the most manic adhd van build video I've ever watched, love it 😂
Yup. I'm ADHD and I found it hard to watch at times.
Can you convert a van for me ?
@@alnicholson4344 i have ADD and it was super easy to follow ... but maybe thats because im also trade ... he only said and showed us what we needed to know and didnt bother showing all the boring bit inbetween , a perfect brittish how to vid lol hats off to him :)
The idea of using the IKEA bed beams is just brilliant!!! Thx for the tip!!!
Top notch - amazing video and build. It's easy to watch van builds and be impressed but realise people spend £40-£60k on a brand new van - and kit it out with major sponsorship and already have an influencer lifestyle earning them £300k per annum. Nice to watch and inspiring but then for many, not realistic, especially for a first time build. This video is really nice and down to earth - realistic and get's the job done. I am a 49 yr old single divorced man who has lost businesses and homes etc and am sick of house prices and utility bills and you have really inspired me tonight watching your video. Well done, and thanks for inspiring me.
i paid £720 for my transit box van 10 years ago, ive now done 240,000 miles in it and my conversion cost me less than £500 scavenging stuff off ebay so doesnt have to be expensive
@@masonfreepartyi😅
Sounds like you made a smart move. Another smart move is to buy a plot of marginal land ie boggy fields somewhere out of the way, as it can be turned into something similar to a very expensive property over time. Am looking at 12 year old Merc’s at the moment, these videos are very interesting although some of the builds are a bit over the top there’s plenty of useful construction ideas…a thriving area of endeavour due to organised crime wave in political system…
I think you need to think again re the cold mixer tap set up. Just blocking the hot end may seem fine but what you have done is create a dead leg that will sit with stagnant water in that will not get changed and replenished. At the right or should I say wrong temperature (plus 20 degrees C) that could lead to legionella growth that could then infect your water supply. Throw the £8 tap away and buy a single tap mate. Better safe than sorry.
or just put a splitter on the feed and feed the cold water through both hot and cold inputs so you keep the same (lovely) tap. By the way, Legionaires' disease doesn't effect the hands or skin, it's only problematic if breathed in a vapour. I wouldn't worry, statistically, but yeah why not be safe?
Or add a hot water branch to it later on which might be even better. The same could be said about the waste water routing from the sink, which will mean that there is n o syphon actually and the dirty water stagnages in the bottom of the sink waste as the outflow is happening higher up on the side and it will fester and stink, but these are minor issues in an otherwise very inspiring video
I've never watched a video this long al the way through without skipping before - brilliant!
so neither, I didn't skip anything!
You can buy fabric at the fabric store and spray glue it to the ceiling!!! Now, you won't see the line from the two pieces of wood! You can buy fabric with silver threads weaving around in it, then it will look like stars twinkling in the sky while laying in bed! Or, You can buy glow in the dark fabric paint and create constellations starts, too! Be creative. I am enjoying watching this video! I subscribed.
My sprinter is done on similar lines but even more basic than yours! No need for luxury in my abode, just functionality. If you can stay safe, warm and dry then anything else is a bonus as far as I am concerned. Great video with everything explained in language anyone can understand
You do not need to apologize for your wonderful job! Show room quality is all in the expectation of the viewer's mind and I like your show room.
You have many interesting and helpful cues in this video -- enough that it has gone into my bookmark list of van build references. Thank you!
Absolute quality mate you should be very proud of yourselves both of you. Look forward to many more videos and travels in the future.
That was an excellent, very real and realistic video for us Brit van conversion hopefuls. Excellent hints and tips! Thanks for that! I saved the video to my "tiny house/van conversion" folder for when it's my turn to wield hammer and jigsaw in my own van. 😀👍
It's fantastic to see a genuine limited-budget build. I want to do my own and feel much more confident about doing it now. Thank you.
Be careful when cutting the metal, as lots of iron filings can get blown everywhere. This will rust and could create problems later. Do not allow it to accumulate anywhere. Also try using riv nuts instead of nuts and bolts. Well worth looking at - strong enough for seat belt anchors I am told. Enjoy your van!
To tell you the truth, it's fantastic for what you paid out for it. Couldn't have done it much better myself. Happy camping guys. Rob❤
Amazing video mate. You inspired me to do the conversion. I was a little bit afraid before. You made it look easy. Thanks.
I have watched every video of this build and you have done an amazing job! Well done.
It’s bloody lush!! Awesome job and actually the first van conversion that explains the wiring and plumbing a bit more!
Brilliant. Totally awesome videos. Very inspiring and no nonsense. Great job.
Came out fabulous! So happy for you guys.
Really enjoyed this budget build, very impressed with the whole build for the cost.
great idea those ikea bed beams
Thanks for giving a real insight as to how it worked out .
All these people going over the top . Nice and real . Well done mate 👏
Wow this is a whole new world
Nice to see a good balance of planning and getting things done. I find that, sometimes, it's easier and quicker to do things 3 times, while others are sharpening their pencils. A fun time listening to your build .. Thanks !!
My hubby and I agree, you've got an amazing problem solving mind. Very impressed. (new subscriber)
Awesome work. Some cool innovative thinking in this build. Given me plenty of ideas!
Really enjoyed that, great work! To the right of the sink you could extend your work surface by getting those folding/locking shelf brackets from BnQ and adding more worktop that hangs down when not in use :). Also look at the teeth on your jigsaw, they face up, get down cutting blades then when you cut from the face of your boards all the ripout will be underneath .
I've had those brackets before but they never work in vans. The spring always breaks while driving but the jigsaw blades are a great tip. Thank yoy
You have done a cracking job on a budget pal hope you enjoy your time in it
the diesel exhaust should be fixed to and pointing to the outside of the van not under it as the exhaust could leach into the van if pumping out to the underside.
I'm only 4 mins in and i want to congratulate you on this build. I have all the tools needed and a competent Joiner but the fact you can tackle this and have the patience to use a cheap drill to make all those holes (took Ages) and use the cheapest Jigsaw known to man to cut it out!!!! with proper tools it's a 10 minute job, even with a decent Jigsaw........You should be in charge of Community Projects........Well Down to you both.
Bit of clickbait right there mate the maxair fan and electrics are over £900
£9000 is closer I think...
@@rogiervandersterren9138 agreed
Totally false... its a shame
Oh , thanks … didn’t think of that
The maxx fan is £350 on its own , there's £3000 worth there all day
Wow! Great job! Looks absolutely amazing! I'd love to have that! You guys are so gonna enjoy using this van especially knowing that you've built everything inside with your own hands! Thanks for sharing!
How did you know what to do?
Absolutely fanstastic! I still couldn't do it myself but it's so nice to understand a bit more what goes into a van build.
This is an excellent resource, thank you for your good energy and inspirational perspective
Refreshing- good job lad.
One of the best explainer builds around. 🛠💪👍
It doesn't have to be perfect but be resourceful learn from your mistakes then improve your skills and make adjustments down the line.🤙🛠
Great job! No fancy tools used either. Really enjoyed watching the video.
Brilliant build, thanks for sharing
I am following and subscribed. Love your freshness that you bring, don't lose it! I have been to the Nurseries in the summer, there was rain and drama {not from me!). Neil made sure I was safe, I was tenting with my little dog. You guys are just so "what you see is what you get". Love it!!
WOW, super cool!! Great job you done! All the best from Budapest, Hungary! 🙂
Really enjoyed watching this, mate. I just came back from a week in the Scottish Highlands. We did Air BnB but it gave me the idea of buying/building a camper. This gives you a great idea of what it entails. Nice one. 👍
Love the no nonsense no instagrammable posey vid, really useful details thanks
This is awesome and an inspiration ,I'll definitely use this video to build my own or at least to customize an already built van ,it's rough around the edges but it's simply awesome !
Quality on a budget. Just shows what you can do with a bit of time and effort 👍🏻
Just came across your videos. You are a top bloke, your down to earth builds and videos are brilliant. Excellent sense of humour too.
that was the best van build video I've ever seen, great work. I feel inspired now.
wow, tikrai yra geru ideju! respect,
Wow...if I use this as a how too video I may actually get something done...well done guys for the informative and easy style.
I could not even begin to imagine the amount of research you have put into this! you have done an amazing job, Looks very homely and well laid out. Top job!!
greetings from banff canada! just got my van and am terrified it's completely gutted I really needed some guidance to show me the way. thanks for the video man.
Have to say this was a joy to watch. Best explanation vid ever 👍🏻👍🏻
Blees you mate. I love your energy same is your hard work. Society need people like you to think about people cant afford thing and making things from what they have got. Well-done mate
Thanks for the updates
Absolutely brilliant mate Happy travels
A lot of hard work well done. I wish you all the best with a great van.
You did a fantastic job!!! WOW!!!
Oh wow, thats a great job, love it!!
Really enjoyed that mate you have done a great job 👍
Excellent planning and fitting!
Great video. Really helpful. Cheers 🙌
Great job! thanks for the explaining😊
That's so ace, it's looks brilliant ❤😊
Really enjoyed this video and am totally onside with the concept. Just great viewing. Many thanks!
For your gate stones, I've found that having a wide gate is useful for unforseen future needs. A good width is 14 feet ( 16 if potential farm equipment like tractors ).
Well done on just diving head first into all the big projects. I love all the grape vines + fruit trees. For all the heat, more structures ( a house? ), thick walls are great for beating the heat w/o using so much a/c. I'm building a house w/double walls ( 8" concrete block+3" insulation+8" concrete blocks ) - 19" thick. Eliminates thermal bridging.
For ur multiple ibc totes, connect them at the bottom and they will fill at the same pace. Add a spillover ( hose? ) to redirect to different trees. Gl
just fitted 16foot of 2 gates on a peice of land in the peak district for wild camping looks the bollocks, when finished I will list for other van lifers to use
Best converton video I've seen yet.
Absolutely gorgeous. Well done
Thank you, you explain things very well, awsome to see a van build finish that i think i could achieve, its good to see the 5 star builds but im not really capable of that sort of finish, this has given me some great inspiration. Cheers.
Enjoyed watching your build, you showed anyone should have a go at doing theirs. One suggestion, on the roof braces with many holes you could fix a narrow (4 inches) strip of ply the length of the brace first then if you do miss the metal you will screw into the ply.
Congratulations for your lovely work & thank you for your detailed information
That was brilliant, It's been my dream to build my own van but I'm afraid finances stop me but man that looks good, Well done.
Good job made the build look easy also explained it well 👍
Best DIY campervan build I've seen to date. Great humor, good descriptions, nice, manageable build. Looks like fun. Very well done.
Second that.
Take a breath than a bow, top work. Superb effort.
Talented man who knows what he's doing tbf 👏 👌 great job sir
Absolutely brilliant.
Amazing beautiful build congratulations ❤
absolutely bob on mate. ace video, thanks for sharing, enjoy what you've created 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Brilliant -thanks for the thorough explanation of all the technical aspects. Gives me the courage to try it myself. Very much appreciate this video , it's the best one I've seen. :)
I really enjoyed your build, enjoy
Great vid. Really enjoyed watching this. Thank you
We always use products from wayside adhesives! Mega cheap compared to everyone else and have some of the best adhesives for campervans! Our lads in the workshop love them!
That was something else to watch. I think that anybody who is considering doing a van conversion will be totally inspired by your achievement .You actually made it look relatively easy , which is an achievement in it`s self.Very well done.
It is easy when yoy take one step at a time. Research the heck out of 1 thing. Do it . Move on
I thought it was going to look well pikey - but for a grand, you did a very tidy job - congratulations fella
@@theenglishman3368 It does'nt even look terribly partial to periwinkle blue
You would love my build. I did it all without arms
Mate .I just checked out your channel and could not believe my eyes .You are an inspiration to all of us so called able- bodied people. @@Amazingfeet Absolutely fantastic .I am now a subscriber .ATB

Hi guys. Just subscribed. Love the build. Nice to see it all done in one video. I did mine over a few videos, I guess it could have been cut down ;) . But looking forward to doing another one next year more like the size of yours. Keep up the good work. I'll have a rummage through more of your videos. Cheers. Adrian.
