- Wuthering Waves has been out for almost 2 Weeks now, and with the start of a new month we finally got the Gacha Game revenue chart for May 2024! In this video I go through the chart and highlight some of the best performing Gacha Games aswell as speak about how Wuthering Waves compares to them and how thye are doing individually too! As WuWa has had much less time to accumulate revenue, so will it catch up with games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail, or will it fail...
Hope you enjoy the video!

Which Gacha Games are you playing at the moment?!
Honkai Impact 3, hsr, gi, wuwa and sometimes tof.
Nikke, Wuthering Waves, PGR then HI3rd
Pgr and wuwa
Not genshin. That’s for sure.
Ngl k play HSR Genshin Wuthering waves and cookie run kingdom because those games are kinda fun
Well as long as Kuro Games keeps on improving the game, everyone will move on from the issues with the launch.
I'm certain they have the potential to earn way more if all the bad things get fixed.
Also anyone waiting for Azur Promilia and Arknight Endfield? How excited are you? :P
Kuro didn't made much because they have given more than players could have asked for, once the Yinlin banner is out the banner sales will go insane trust me and i also heard that in some of the region the payment option is not working properly they are working on it.
Isnt wuwa only out for 1 week on may?
Yeah lol
There's previously was Alpha crimson weave banner in PGR that's probably why they lost some cash "she's extremely broken"
I'm excited for the Console Version of WuWa. Only wonder if the Events will be replayable like in HSR.
The illusive realm is permanent
@@KryoKen This is one of the Events?
@@sekirothegreatshinobi2332 I mean I'm not sure I'd I'd call it an event persay
@@KryoKen Is it one of the Endgame Modes?

Finally a decent video, unlike all that viewfarming doomposters like Cringetone.
Hooo boy no wonder they increased the resin in 4.7. They need to get some massive QOLs in 4.8 FAST if they don't wanna get down even lower
Pgr will bloom in the lamia patch
So context for this: Genshin was basically a dead patch. Gacha spending occurs mainly at the start of a banner (yes, you only need a week to get an idea of how things are) Genshin put out two characters who were both on third reruns, so the fact that still managed to get that much cash for characters with either hatred or no strong feelings says something. Solo Leveling's biggest market was South Kora, where the IP has a strangle hold and was leading WuWa the entire time of the month. Naruto Mobile is strictly CN and has quite the animations if you can find them. HSR meanwhile is more shocking it remains steady with characters who weren't even that big or promoted until the patch they launched in.
Genshin will rebound as June sees it's next patch go live June 5th (day after Yinlin) and two new limited characters in the month. It will most likely top HSR as HSR will only have Firefly release, with Jade slated in July. WuWa meanwhile will be fighting both as instead of 1.1 going live in July same day as ZZZ, it's now in June with both Genshin & HSR's next major patches with each major patch a day before Genshin unless they shift their schedule.
The amount shown also isn't stellar, namely due to the fact that it actually comes in after ToF who did 32 mil without including PC or CN. WuWa's numbers were already estimated five days in and PC was tracked by a different outlet for around 10 mil or so. So the markets are not that distinguished from one another. This is certainly an issue as the US is a fickle market, so it having been the 2nd biggest may be double-edged (Japan was third & S. Korea was in 4th).
As for why Arknights is split: CN had their anniversary with highly requested characters and broken units, while global is 6 months behind, so why global is nowhere near CN. It's also highly popular in CN, so while it averages far lower, anniversary banners bring in money. Similar case with Naruto as that IP is big in CN and does well.
Again, WuWa also is currently trying to recover money at the moment from all reports and I do wish them well, but the summer release is rough as May was effectively the deadest patch for Genshin and HSR was running with a character that was dead for a patch and the other not even be shown in game till said patch. There's more one can go into, but WuWa's performance being 'great' isn't it as it's trying to do what it can to retain players in the 'customer is always right approach' or some variation. Let alone how many pulls it tosses out may also suggest that more dolphin-esque players not to drop money if the game keeps showering them in it or he most likely overlap with Genshin players who still spend there. But again, could be wrong and we'll see within the next month.
i'd say making a good game that happens to be a gacha rather than a gacha that hopefully is good may have something to do with it
Next Month, there is absolutely "zero reason" that Yinlin the Wuthering Waves trump card and best character should not completely demolish an average side character like Clorinde on the Revenue Charts.
probably true, but let's also remember that Furina is also in June which if I was a betting man would be where genshin players will spend the most. It will be interesting.
I guess this is the goodbye Genshin Impact…..
Bruh you gotta chill out with your twitter tweets. Theyre getting downbad cringe 🤦
WuWa only had 8 days in May and made that amount of money.
Most of the other games on that list had a full month of revenue.
On top of that... I'm very certain, that list only factors in mobile revenue, which is not that much in the western world, 'cause we like PCs, ya know.
(this mostly concerns WuWa Global's revenue, not China... obviously)
Most gachas make their revenue in the first few days of a banner dropping. Even if you go for a few weeks, the amount is front loaded. In fact, the amount shown was estimated days before sensor tower had published them (five days in), so it isn't that shocking. Though the other report did also have pc as well around 10 mil with China being the biggest market, US in second, Japan in third, and lastly South Korea, with the rest of global chipping in.
So roughly 40 mil total give or take. That said, the west wasn't that split between pc and mobile. While it is big in states and Europe, mobile is just far more common else where. Though prospectively even with all markets, it did under perform ToF which was 32 mil on mobile and excluding China's android market. It's not worth mentioning either Hoyo entry as they data for their first week is much like ToF. The numbers WW did get put it closer to Nikke & Arknights. Which in a bubble sounds fine, until realizing both games are far cheaper games.
June will be more important as it will have two banners to see how it fairs. Though Genshin has two banners slated for June with it's next major patch comes out right after WuWa's Yinlin banner and HSR releases they're next patch a week or so after, with Genshin's second banner goes live again when 1.1 for WuWa does.
It should be noted that WuWa also launched and came after Solo Leveling, Genshin was dead (no new character as Arlecchino came out prior and two characters on their third rerun) and HSR putting out characters who only got limelight in the same patch.
So it's launch numbers aren't exactly stellar as games it matched are not doing much (FGO again sees spending mainly in JP when new banners come out). And WuWa's budget for CCs was cut (this was made known by multiple CCs) and unlike other companies, Kuro is in need of cash flow (as the marketing alone would probably put over it's launch revenue alone, not even accounting for the actual development that received funding from Tencent).
Wtf are you talking about? Wuwa has no mobile version, only PC. And this list includes JP+CN too
@puenboy1 The sensor tower report is only for mobile version of games. They don't track PC.
@@puenboy1it does have a mobile…..
