good take man a lot of WuWa players don't even want the game to surpass genshin's popularity and player numbers, we just want an alternative game to play because a lot of us are frustrated and unsatisfied with genshin.

I'm playing all three Genshin Impact, Honkia Star Rail and Wuthing Waves. There is nothing wrong playing all thee. I'm enjoying them. You are right is a win for the players.

Better than genshin, after playing both of them i feel genshin is a lil kids game way too easy and WW is more mature game that fixed everything genshin lack on and the combat system in WW way more fun.

WuWa is honestly genshin but it does things that are indeed better. You have to and will realize this when reaching the higher levels because the structure of character leveling, gearing, material farming, world exploration, and even the endgame is based on genshin.
HOWEVER, even if there already were flaws in WuWa, the combat, movement, and echos is the best part about it. More like it's the strong identity of WuWa, and definitely shows what genshin wished it had. At this point, people should come to a conclusion that while WuWa and Genshin are similar, it should be treated as a good thing as both games can still coexist and players can still enjoy both games at once.
both games being good is good for the community. the better each one does is a benefit for all of us.
WuWa is not another Genshin Impact...it is a BETTER Genshin Impact (especially in regard to the combat system)

@@mysteriousastrolabe you are certainly right, but WuWe has plenty of time to fill the gap in these departments...in the meantime the vast majority of people play this kind of game for the challenge represented by the combat system.

@@toukoenriaze9870 well, you know, imho the problem with Genshin comes from the fact that from the start Mihoyo goals were:
1) to develop a game for EVERYONE (serious and casual players of every age and on every platform )
2) to develop an extremely long and articulate story arc.
Those were extremely ambitious goals... it's no surprise that something has gone right and something has gone wrong.
About Honkai Star Rail: well, it is certainly well made, but personally I don't like the turn based combat system...uninstalled.
Lore-wise, still Genshin. I got bored at the beginning of playing Wuwa. Just logged in for the rewards

Yea I think people should be free to enjoy what they want.
There are people who would like WuWa for its combat complexity and those who love genshin colorful fantasy world and casual playstyle...and their doujins.
I stopped playing genshin after Inazuma, it no longer interests me.
WuWa's launch brings me the joy I first experienced back when genshin's release.
Whether they keep it going is up to future me to decide. For now, it is enjoyable for me despite its much needed improvements on voices and story.
Some people's rage hate on WuWa wouldn't suddenly make me stop playing nor would they make me pick up genshin again.
I decide what I want to play, not random people's comments.
Also Azur Promilia and Arknight Endfield soon to come as well. Are u excited for those games?

Wuwa before anniversary tried not copy Genshin history makes players what matter satisfy combat elemental, whereas Genshin cool down use elemental react gate internal cooldown tactic non catalyst slow response

WuWa shouldnt try to be like Genshin, it can look like it, sure. but dont try to be it, if it was to be something try to aim for HSR, because even though its a turn based game the amount of QoL and content put into is absolutely crazy each update. i feel like it was good they pushed up the content cycle, i just dont know if it will be good in terms of the monthly income in pulls considering it seems the exchange shop doesnt reset the 5 pulls etc etc much like HSR is now.

At this point, Genshin could be taken down by only Azure Promilia now.Since we can't compare WuWa with it cause people just it is a combat focused game. So let's a new and better casual Open world. And i am hoping it is gonna be Azure Promillia.

All i know is it didn't release simultaneously with PS5, and there's no bigger L it coulda taken from me personally. Especially since ppl keep saying it's more suited to PC/console, then mobile. I know it makes more on those platforms, but this kills the hype of their console audience... 🤷

What a healthy take. I don't get the war. I personally won't play WW, cause I don't have the time for 2 grindy games besides "normal" games. Also I just love Genshin too much. It's not just a game to me. It's a world I've been traveling for years now alongside Aether. I love the lore. I love the characters and the stories told.
Yes, I'd looove to test WWs gameplay, but time is an issue.
after UL30 its another genshin yet again...dailies and done unless whaling for waveplates resets....
Collect echoes (level up your data bank), search for shiny echoes, challenge in difficult game modes such as tower of adversity and holograms...not much but I think there's more things to do compare to Genshin which is just clearing 12th floor Abyss..
It's fun and flashy, but, right now, it still feels very Genshin.
Which is great for content creators who thrive on drama, but I really hope it establishes its own identity more as time goes on. I find people are really downplaying how much of a grind the game is right now.
It's also a game that still gives me more technical issues than Genshin, which zaps some of the fun out of it. Can't enjoy a fluid combat system when lag pops up.

Because calling wuwa a great product is such a bad take when the game with riddles with bugs and performance issues . And dont even talk about mobile performance and bugs . Music in this game is so bad its non existent.
And combat is better at first but the depth genshin have it does not . Its just about more dmg at the end ot the day and nothing else .
LOL, Just another Genshin, but if Hoyo actually listened to players and did what they asked.. and did pretty much everything just a bit better, especially having a 😍 skip dialog button! 😍 ... and no piamon! But in reality, i think Genshin is the wrong comparison, to me it feels like a way more polished Tower of Fantasy without the mmo element than anything

Better than ToF but not better than Genshin (in an overall, big picture point of view) I kinda felt weary that they shifted to release Yinlin early, seems like they are BTS also focused in making money and milking the honeymoonerswhile sweeping the controversies under the rug atm.
This is a very dense comment, what they’re doing is the best outcome from a business standpoint. Pushing 1.1 a week before zzz and not having there 1.1 being undermined by zzz release is smart. Please do research before saying nonsense all companies at the end of the day main job is to make money and they don’t sweep nothing under any rug they’ve talked about everything and has been transparent unlike other companies
they're not sweeping the controversies under the rug as they have been very transparent if you're following them on social media plus we got a lot of free pulls and a standard 5 star selector for all the issues other players have been having. most recent one was japan server having a very big controversy about the weapon but kuro addressed it and refunded the japanese players who spent money on jiyan's weapon banner.
Both games have ups and downs just say you don't prefer it. Every gacha game is a money milking factory and there's no perfect company.
You know also the free stuff we got is a potential revenue loss for them right? But they gave it nevertheless just to show that they care about their player base and game unlike some greedy other companies who give 0 F and actually humiliate their consumers every anniversary lol
Can you write in my opinion at the beginning of the sentence cause I don’t think Genshin is better than wuwa.
The story here is nothing to write home about. It starts cliched, in 5 minutes you get introduced to a bunch of characters you couldn't care less, then in 15 minutes it is declared that you're the Chosen One, the magistrate is counting on you, the population adores you, and so on.
The 'endgame' is an endless grind for better echoes, some of the bosses are pain in the ass, and although I was captivated by Demon's Souls and loved Dark Souls - I dropped DS2 somewhere near the end, pocked DS3 a bit, and ignored ER completely. All those games have exploration value that greatly surpasses WW, but I grew too old for the constant 'you died'. So maybe grinding Crownless for a bit better piece of his echo isn't my cup of tea.
I see the second GI here but with a bit inferior production value, more skill-demanding combat, and less rich and therefore more responsive devs.
I played wuthering waves for 10 hrs and i found it boring.
IDK man. I'm that one gamer who do not care about combat and skips endgame content. I only care about story, lore and worldbuilding. Unfortunately WuWa didn't click for me. I play on PC with controller and there is no way to change buttons mapping and invert camera axis. And this makes combat quite clunky for me.
After playing for several hours on the first day (i had like zero spoilers) i still do not understand why MC should care about progressing main quest. I'm totally lost and have no incentive other than just login and wander around for a bit before closing the game because there are login events and some freebies drops on mail. And EN voicing also makes main story less likeable.
I really hope WuWa will be a good competitor we all need. But right now for me it is better to forget about this game for a year or two.
what are the types of games do you play? if you're not into gameplay and combat then you're better off playing visual novels if the story and narrative is all you care about. WuWa is catered towards the sweaty tryhards than story enjoyers.
@@lancertheimaginary8462 I play Genshin and HSR. This is also why I know about WuWa and why I decided to try it. To play something else while waiting for new story in those hoyo games.
@@kugisa6783 Story wise Genshin and Wuwa both aren't great as you would expect of a gatcha game they mainly focus on creating waifu/husbando for simp to spend their money on..with that said of course the games can be enjoyable such as the combat in Wuwa is great. If story/lore is an important expect of a game to you play games that are heavily focus on it such as God of War, DMC, FF, or any single player games that heavily focus on story..
@@jordancolel.joeman5462 Yep, i've played NieR games and also some from FF series. I also enjoy some DayZ RP PvE servers from time to time. But what is appealing to me right now with Genshin and HSR - they are free and there are anime waifus. Plus there is a lot of lore and theory crafting videos on YT I can dive in.
Ppl overhype the combat allot you can defeat almost anything by button mashing.
the thing is it's not about you can or can't defeat them but it just makes the game more enjoyable and cool to be able to dodge and parry an enemy attacks which makes players more engage in the action.
I feel like Genshin forgot the main story and lore, and has been hyper-focused on nothing but filler - like making a potion store event for three weeks. Fontaine's story (including the Archon quest) has been bland at best for the whole 4.X patch, with the only silver lining being Arlecchino story line, which was the only great thing story-wise since August 2023.

BIT extreme to act like having any evolution to Genshin's game state at all is "making it Dark Souls" but whatever. More importantly maybe the reason you feel that you aren't being left alone by WuWa players is that you're going out of your way to comment on a WuWa video.
I think “took everything Genshin did and does it better” doesn’t accurately portray what Walrus is saying. Around 5:57, he describes how the two games focus on different aspects of the player experience (catering to different audiences), which supports the notion that these two games can and should coexist.

I play both games by the way, I just think it's ridiculous how much I see Hoyo fans hating on WuWa for simply existing. At least the other way around, while stupid, makes some sense since much of WuWa's audience comes directly FROM Genshin.
