It's actually very simple to understand what he's saying. All math. All science. All textbooks have been written by a man. Now most science is able to be repeated because that's just how it works within the laws of nature but math is created by us. What is a measurement? Who woke up the first time and decided that things can be calculated with an equation and how did you get the units for the first equation? The further you go into math the more the equations begin to become theories vs fact.
terrence howard is the ultimate yapper
@gokaytaspnar1355 I'm not saying yall are wrong lmfao but what he's saying here makes sense.
The function described is (√n)^3/n
Consider that (√n)^3=(√n)(√n)(√n)
So we get (√n)(√n)(√n)/n
Now consider that (√n)(√n)=n
So (√n)(√n)(√n)=(√n)n
So we can rewrite the function as (√n)n/n
Now consider that n/n=1
Now we get 1(√n) which is just (√n)
So we have now proven (√n)^3/n=(√n) for all positive integers. If you have a denominator smaller than the n you will have an increasing output, if it is larger than n you will have an decreasing output.
2 is a positive integer.
(√2)^3/2=(√2), (√2)^3/1=2(√2), (√2)^3/3=2(√2)/3
3 also
(√3)^3/3=(√3), (√3)^3/2=3(√3)/2, (√3)^3/4=3(√3)/4
His operation is not special, it makes perfect sense, it is logically consistent and has a definable consistent function.
Until you start going into the infinite number listing of the square root of 2. The sequence eventually stops working as intended.
Ah yes big brain shit

I’m sure the ladies flock to you when you whip this baby out at parties.
Not gonna lie though, that was cool.
Explanation
Think of a square root at 2^0.5
So we let x =2^0.5
cube that we get x³ = 2^1.5 = 2^(1+0.5)

So if you divide by 2 then u get 2^0.5

For those who don’t understand … Terrance Howard is missing the fact that “dividing by 2” is the problem when he tries to apply this formula to other numbers. A similar loop can be done with any other number so long as a person divides the by the number that is equal to the starting value, instead of two. The issue Howard missed is that the starting value changes, but the dividing value doesn’t. Somehow, somewhere, someone neglected to explain that to him when he was younger, which has made him fixate on it. A two minute conversation would have solved it.
Good point.
But the oldest symbols...
At this point his speech is just disengenous.
So Sir.

2^1/2 is the square root of two. Cube it, it’s 2^3/2. Divide it by 2, it’s (2^3/2)*(1/2) which is equal to (2^3/2)*(2^-1) which is equal to 2^(3/2 - 1), which is equal to 2^1/2. We’re back at the start, just cube it again and repeat. Same goes for number 3, just divide it by 3 instead of 2 (basically 3^-1). You can do this with any (positive) number ‘n’, just divide the cubed square root of ‘n’ by ‘n’ and repeat.
This is the key

This guy is an awesome dude honestly! He’s a great dude! we need more like him great actor too! He was screwed by Hollywood! The dude sings and hustle and flow and made a hit, and they take all of the shit for it. SMH bad for this man he’s a great actor in my opinion.
Yeah, I hear if you take 1, add 1 to it, you'll get 2. Then, if you subtract 1, you get one again. If you keep doing this forever, it loops. Crazy.
No. That's not a loop.
A loop means that you get the same number after a decimal point.
@@NimerionTech1. That's now what a loop means
2. Add the implied .0000 to each of OPs numbers and you get the same number after the decimal point, satisfying your (incorrect) definition of a loop.
Also, if you add a larger number each time...say three...and then subtract one, and do that over and over, the result never stops getting bigger. And if instead you add a smaller number every time, like zero, and then subtract one, the number gets smaller and smaller. It's only when you add one and then subtract one repeatedly that you get a "loop". It doesn't make sense, and it doesn't make math make sense! 🤣
I'm not sure why he said it doesn't work for any other number, because it does.
Take any number x, and squareroot it, then cube, then divide by x.
So x -> √x -> √(x^3) (rewrite) √(x • x • x) (simplify) x√x -> (x√x)/x -> √x
The reason it works is because the operation of cubing a square root makes a 3/2 power, which means dividing by x will remove a full power and bring it back to a 1/2 power.
Loops absolutely make sense in math, they happen quite often, Euler's number has plenty of loops to it.
The reason it doesn’t work for him is because he is dividing by 2 and not x, even when x is not 2. Also I don’t understand what he even means by “loops”. It’s just two operations that happen to cancel each other out. The only reason it is a “loop” is because he instructed everyone to repeat those operations.
@@henryhe5945because he has no idea what he's actually talking about. Dude is willfully ignorant.
@@alittlesnag Is this a movie? Can't be a scientist. This is middle school-level math.
@@henryhe5945 there does exist something called iteration schemes where you plug in the previous answer of a formula to get a new one, and that new one is equal to the previous one. It's when the scheme "converges". It could be argued that this is a loop.
That’s indeed the first thing that came to my mind: x^(3/2) / x = √x
However, that isn’t a loop, just an algebraic simplification.
That's because √2^3 is 2√2. If instead it was cube then divide by 3, √3 would work. Divide by 5, √5, etc
When can we get back to this kinda of crazy?
This is the kinda crazy that doesn’t hurt anyone or influence them to chop off parts.
My guy got fired from Iron Man and finally did the rest of his math homework.
except he clearly failed it
Because of the domestic violence charges, but he tried to play it off like it was a pay discrepancy.
He had a thriving show after iron man
But why....is she talking?
He just mad cause he has a micro penis. It’s actually pretty sad. But it no reason to be mad All the time.
Oh my god. The 2 is the magical number.
If you dived 2 by 2, you get 1. Then you multiple it by 3 and you get 3, now subtract 2 and you get 1.
It's another loop. It's just mind blowing.
Where are my 251k likes?
We'll get you that 215k likes buddy
@@michaelt4162slowly but surely 🤝🏾
Legend we will get you there
And if you do that with any number that is higher, it will start to get exponentially bigger. This is amazing
Need to make a video and sound prolific
Amazing! I keep finding loops ever since watching this video! Watch this, take the number 2, multiply by 2 twice then divide by 4 and you always end up with 2 🤦🏻♂️
Loop formula is (x/sqrt(x))^x)/x. This always yields x/sqrt(x).
“ you see this is why I hate smoking with you bro?” “ I ain’t squaring or cubing shit, cube these nuts, Terrence”

Man got real good with math when he was trying to figure out just how hard it was for a pimp.
Actually no considering he doesn't understand basic math
I seen this whole video. And it blew my mind. The fact that he left Hollywood for this.
He is a good actor. Made me believe he was smart for 2 seconds.
Oh Gawd😭
Stark taught him this as a personal joke
Ahaha omg😂
He isn't smart, he just has more knowledge than you on maths and science.
@@mikairedavid5612 do you even know him?
At the end he says "it does not make sense" but it's really simple and works with any number. Take the sqrt(x), cube it, then divide by x. It will be the same type of loop.
Hey you know what the full vidio is where it at I’d like to watch would appreciate if u could tell me thanks
Damn you right
@@trentonhammons6988there is a link above the title on mobile, don’t know for pc
Isn't that what he said
@@trentonhammons6988 and calculate all that ?
Im guessing this works with any pure square of two that isnt a decimal, like 4 or 16. A computer stores values in binary, so unless the base matches the value to a certain extent there will be loss without infinite precision
Tha fact he knows that off tha top of his head is mo impressive
This man. Just blew his OWN mind. All. By. Himself... Bravo 👏.
Wanna see another cool loop? Pick any number, then add it to itself, and finally divide it by two.
Impressive, isn't it? Surely there is no logical explanation to what you just did.
