Wasn't my introduction to Motorhead but it certainly makes me think of the 'University Challenge' episode (think it was called Bambi) of the Young Ones. The whole train station skit was funny as f*ck at the time. Tried watching some recently though and it hasn't dated well. Do still really enjoy the 'Nasty' episode with The Damned playing though.

I got to see Satriani in Oakland, and drove to Sacramento to see Rush, and later, Van Hagar. The only time I remember going to Mountain View was for an airshow at Moffett Field. I had to listen to the song again just to be clear, researched it, and I'm 100% sure that there is a bass riff in the beginning, that was AWESOME!!!!! I heard the bass throughout the rest of the song and he was on FIRE!!!! I like how the drummer changed things up in the middle with that pause and I love the juicy guitar solo, incredible!!! The intensity and how your blood kicks in while listening to this song is just unreal, and I've wanted to check out Motörhead since I heard about them two weeks ago in a documentary about 80s hair metal, so I'm glad I was able to check them out through this channel. I will definitely be checking them out again, I wasn't too crazy about the lyrics, but I still think it's a great song! Note: the entire lineup that recorded this song (Lemmy: vocals and bass; Fast Eddie Clarke: guitar; and Philthy Phil Taylor: drums) have all passed away. This was the classic lineup of the band. They are now nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Extra note: Lemmy formed Motorhead after leaving the space rock group Hawkwind, which was a heavy, spacey, psychedelic band.

My very first album was Motorhead's "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith", a live album from 1981. The rendition of their song "Bomber" is one of my favourites, played at a significantly higher tempo than the studio version. It used to get me pumped up when I was a bare-chested, leather-and-spikes clad bare knuckle fighter (locally known as "Creeping Death" lol). Made me feel like I could deflect bullets. I also recommend their self-titled track i.e "Motorhead" obviously, or "Overkill".

Whatever you consider 70's prog rock to be, Rush is at one end of that spectrum and Hawkwind is at the opposite end. This is my favorite iron maiden I would say is my second favorite.
Sorry can't leave any Motörhead songs off top of my head I know they got some good ones but they're all pretty much similar to ace of spades at least to my ear. Keep up the good work you guys do a good job

I remember seeing Motorhead in the early 90's in San Francisco. One of the loudest bands I ever heard (Ministry was probably the loudest). Also, the audience was full of punks and bikers, and everyone was having a great time together. Such a fun band to see live. If you want some more bangers, give Ministry a chance. Heavy, heavy, heavy music. Bangers unite!

That was the Classic MoToRhEaD lineup with Lemmy Kilmister (bass) and yes that was a bass-driven intro philthy Phil Taylor (drums) and Fast Eddie Clarke on Guitar. Unfortunately, Motorhead is no more, they have all died. There were several incarnations of the band with Lemmy being the glue that held it all together. Some other song suggestions that are BANGERS would be "Eat the Rich" "Killed by Death" "One More Fucking Time" "Stone Dead Forever"
