    Great tutorial, thank you so much. The dealership quoted me over 1k for this, I knocked it out for about 60 with buying a tool for the right torx head.

    Thank you sir. Worked like a charm. Just FYI, I skipped step one. Additionally, I could not find the 7/32 socket (It's around here SOMEWHERE!) but a 5.5 mm worked fine. Again, thank you.

    Thanks for the video. I had to order one because my wipers on quit either when my switch is off. This was very helpful. Thank you again!

    This was great, did mine in 5 mins. The part where you lift up the steering column cover, there is a slot to push in the tab and then pry it up, it’s nice and easy. Saved me $$$ from ford doing it.

    It's the Christmas Holiday's cold and snowing and the wipers on my 2018 F-150 are stuck on intermittent mode. After watching this video, I was able to order the part this morning and with ease replace it myself this afternoon. Thank You for Posting This Helpful Professionally Done Video. Thank God for CZcams and people that are willing to take the time to Share!!!

    Thanks so much for this video! I would have had the job done in 10 minutes if I could have located my T10 torx bit faster : ) It never ceases to amaze me how much DIY content is on CZcams, for practically any repair or project... has saved me a lot of $ over the years. One of these days I'll try and pay it forward and post something myself... if it isn't already there! Thanks again

    This is a lifesaver! My entire switch SNAPPED off and my high beams were stuck on. Took to dealer, they wanted over $500. They didn’t even get to my truck so I took it home, went to the auto shop, picked up a switch and got it done in less than 20 mins. This video was so easy to follow and simple!

    THANK YOU for this video. I watched it multiple times before having to do this procedure on my 2016 F-150 Platinum and you made the whole process easy to follow, easy to remember, and especially easy to execute.
    One note on the Platinum trim level, as there's an electronic vs. manual steering column adjustment control that has to be removed *first*.
    While you've got the steering wheel turned all the way to the left (and all the bolts / trim / column shroud or covers are removed), you have one more T-10 screw under the controller that needs to be removed - you accomplish this by pressing together the two tabs in the center / back of the control wheel which releases that module so you have full access to the turn signal module / assembly.
    Thank you again!

  • @mikeyates1478
    @mikeyates1478 Před 2 lety +2

    Thanks. Very helpful. If you remove the three screws from the bottom of the column first you don’t need your first step. A flathead screwdriver makes getting the two covers apart much easier.

    Thanks so much for posting. I had the same issue - wipers wouldn't turn off. This fixed it. As noted below I unscrewed the 3 screws on the bottom of the steering column shroud first and it popped right open. This video made the switch replacement super simple and it is appreciated.

    Just a heads up, your truck might start spraying windshield wiper fluid and going off. It only lasted a few seconds. It seems the truck is registering the new part.

    He said the sizes it’s : 7/32 deep socket and T10 torx bit, I have a bunch of sockets but did not have that one and nothing close worked had to go buy the socket. Real easy, like someone else commented take the three screws out of the bottom before you try to separate the two pieces.

    • @robtreibel766
      @robtreibel766 Před 2 lety +1

      I just did this. I only used a t10 torx. You don't have to pull the bottom cover off, just push it out of the way.

    Whoa! This video makes it soooo easy. I called my local dealership and Service quoted me $650 parts and labor. He insisted that it was the control module. His comment was that “everyone thinks it’s the Multi Function Wiper Lever but it’s not”. We’ll guess what…a trip to AutoZone and $55 and it all works like new!

    Wow.. you made that alot harder than it is.. watched your video.. how ok.. I can do that.. bought part.. the top trip piece DOESN'T need to be removed, plenty of room with steering wheel extended. The rest you seemed to struggle with, not sure why.. it was a VERY easy swap. But thanks for showing how remove unnecessary parts and making it seem way harder than it actually was

    I can't tell what size you're saying on the torx size to remove the switch tried t2 and it was to small and t2.5 is to big, so I will take my Dremel tool and slot it so i can remove it with a regular screw driver. hahaha
