    What a clever trick to use rectangle strips instead of measuring and cutting a ton of side set-in triangles, love it!

    I really like the beginning of this quilt. It is looking so good and would be a great way to use up many scraps in the quilting room. One of the things I really love is you haven't bought mini charm packs or The rolls of 2 1/2" strips for the project but use what you have without buying the expensive precut small peices. Thank you for this I am looking forward to seeing more of this quilt.

    This is perfect. I've been wanting to make my brother a sort of simple, traditional looking quilt, and I think I can use this block with a blue background fabric to make one he'd really like.
    I love your style of sewing, very scrappy and unfussy, it feels very traditional and an intuitive way to use what you have.

    Very nice. Nothing prettier then a scrappy quilt. I look at them as “FREE” quilt tops. I like your idea of adding 4 1/4 rectangles to the ends. I have so many 2 1/2 strips, I’ll have to get busy with this one.
    Thank you for a great idea

    Hello, Beth! I’m Judy from Bedford, Virginia, and I’m a retired teacher. I find myself coming back to your channel over and over again, loving your gentle manner of speech, which reminds me that quilting should be relaxed and fun! I have a couple of question: do you sew everyday, and if you do, how do you manage so many different projects at one time (assuming you do have several projects going on at any given time.)? I am trying to become more productive, but this queen size quilt as you go I am making is at the point where I need to put it all together. I need a plan to work on it while having some fun piecing to work on too. I currently have three hours a day in which to work. How long do you work each day?

    • @bethshibleyquilts
      @bethshibleyquilts  Před 2 lety

      Thank you for your kind note. Every day is very different in my sewing room. Some days I can spend the morning quilting and others ......not so much! I will say this channel motivates me to be productive! I really enjoy sharing my love of sewing and quilting.
