The sherif was the Skipper on Gilligan's Island and he called Gilligan Little Buddy.

The Deputy was devoured at the end played by J. Stewart Taylor not Sheriff Jones played by Alan Hale Jr. I took it seriously I have an imagination it's a giant creature feature don't make 'em this way anymore. Watch my commentary on the movie and extras I did on my channel. Plus original extras I ripped from some different Disc releases I have of the film. I don't agree the spiders looked cheesy to me could of been better with more money for what they had. The fact is Brandon Chase the distributor kept wanting a bigger Spider and wouldn't give Bill Rebane any money. 10,000 at max for spider effects and so on. Yes Brandon wanted the spider bigger then the shark in Jaws so the Jaws joke does make sense. It was successful made for 300,000 and grossed 24 million here alone back then and who knows how far it is now in revenues. Bill Rebane talks to me on the phone called me his biggest fan is his old years he is 86 now. I been a fan since about 2000 when I first saw this and other films. He made other great Drive-In Sci-Fi and Horror Films 1 in the 60's more in the 70's-80's. You should check out The Alpha Incident '77 which ended as a Co-Feature to Star Wars and played well character driven and had a script as Spider Invasion had no script Alpha did and was a Sci-Fi-Dramatic-Thriller. Spider Invasion is a Sci-Fi-Horror-Thriller and an All-Time Cult Classic! Bill is the epitome of an Independent Regional Film-Maker. Bill did get fucked over by Chase on the revenues which happened a lot then Bill made great films and a lot did better overseas. No one underneath moving the legs they are inside the spiders 2 were built a lot to say I don't think it was fun bad ass giant creature feature not made this way anymore I did not grow up on C.G.I. in the 80's and 90's when I saw films my dad taped some not all and not this one. First effects movie I loved was Ghostbusters '84 and II '89 so on. Then 90's came Willis O'Brien - O'Bie Ray Harryhausen and more Stop-Motion Greats. Then Film-Makers like Roger Corman, Bert. I. Gordon, Larry Buchanan yes Bill Rebane and others lol. So this movie had an impact on me and certain scenes with those giant spiders make my body chill especially during the devouring and attacking scenes. In fact they don't make giant creature features at all much anymore or B Movies of this caliber.
