My first favorite Steeler. You can see it means something to this guy.
Here We Go Steelers
He was teary-eyed thru this whole interview...
To think that he had to prove himself, he did that, plus...
Naw he just drunk....🤣🤣
I'm so happy for Lou to be immortalized in the hall of honor. He seems to be somewhat of a forgotten superstar Steeler. He came around during a transition period when there wasn't much talent around him. Also the Steelers didn't get too much national air time in those days either. He truly was a great player. He would clearly be one of the best receivers in the NFL if he got to play with a good quarterback like Ben. Probably Hall of fame-worthy. He really was an exceptional player.
This was a baaaaaaaad man!!
LOOOO!!
Saw Louis Lipps vs Buffalo in 85. Came all the way from Maidenhead in England. He is always such a class act! Loooooo!!!!
Salute OG! Southern Miss and Louisiana great. You paved the way for myself and many others to follow you! Blessings
My first Steeler autograph. Love this guy. Go Steelers!
What a great interview and a true black n gold legend. Lou was the man. He was my favorite Pittsburgh Steeler growing up. I'm honored to call him my friend today. Congratulations buddy well deserved and earned.
Great receiver and great return man. All around great Steeler. His wife sang the national anthem for a game I attended, and she was awesome. Thanks for the memories Louis…..
Great interview. lou was excellent he earned it
Awesome interview with Louis lips I've been a steelers fan since the steal curtain of the 70s Terry Bradshaw 👍 😀 👌 😄 😎 👏 👍 😀 👌 😄 😎 👏 👍 😀
Awesome seeing Louis. A fav of mine in the 80s.
#Looooooo 💛🖤💛🖤 #SteelersNation
Great seeing Louis Lipps again. He brought some excitement to those 80's teams
as a dynamic returner. Also remember Lou making some incredible splash plays
that made me jump up off my seat yelling, " I can't believe he caught that !! "
Congrats on his well-deserved recognition and induction.
One of my all time favorite Steelers.
Salute to Louis Lipps!! #504Finest
This guy was absolutely amazing. He averaged 20 yards per catch one season. He could score from anywhere on the field. Loved Louis Lipps!
I loved Lipps. He had 4 or 5 year run that was just awesome. Great return guy. Really good WR. I used to cut newspaper clippings with the sunday steeler game stats and i still have them. Lipps stats every sunday for few years were great.
Growing up I played wr so obvuous I took a liking to those that played the position. Louis provided much excitement and production during some lean times. He and Rod Woodson both. Then when Yancey Thigpen came along I was ecstatic to finally see someone that had the same name as mine...lol. Well deserved award to Loooo
I was a big fan of yours Louie! You were a great player!!!!!!!
Thank you brah!!!
I remember first seeing you.
And hear your name!
Dope moments.
I use to say! “ I’m Louis Lipps. 😆
My teen years he was the Steelers
congratulations Louie. A class act
Just watching this, Louis Lipps sinks ships- remember that advertisement from my childhood. Seems like a great guy- love that he even now he is humble
Number 5 in yards, number 6 in receptions all time for The Steelers. He certainly is a legend!
A bright spot during a fairly down era.
I wish you would have stayed with the Pittsburgh Steelers his whole NFL career
I remember my father saying we always draft people with funny sounding names. Bubby Brister was quarterback back then.
Well deserved bout the best player on the offense back then. Loved watching him play.
This Guy would have been a PFHOF first ballot IF he had been more fortunate in the era he got to play in - put him on a team with Big Ben and there would have been no question. Kudos Louis, you're a class act.
He came 10 years too late and 20 years too early.
I have a feeling George Pickens will end up like Louis Lipps being wasted by a bad team.
Only if he had a good qb. He probably would have been a hall of famer. I know he was good enough. Congrats!!!
They just wanted to win at all costs.
If you ask me, he is HOF candidateable.
Steelers are taxed with finding this type of talent. Players like Lipps and Levon Kirkland
Bro! Louis Lipps! I remember him catching a ball with his face mask and scoring too!
