Watt has not finished his career yet. All those guys above have completed their careers and 3 of them are in the HOF. Harrison is eligible in the next year or 2 I believe. That’s the difference.

Lifelong Steelers fan, grew up 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. I remember the first 4 Superbowl wins. There is no better Defense lineman than Mean Joe Greene. I wished Rod would have ended his NFL career with Pittsburgh because he deserved that, but the 2 others. Harrison (Mr bad intentions), and Troy were part of one of the best defenses ever 08, and I believe won the Superbowl 40, because of that Defense
James Harrison scares me. He comes into the store I work at sometimes. He’s very polite and nice and all. He’s just so fucking terrifying. I love him so much

The looks on Rod, James, and Troy's faces when Joe Greene speaks is the ultimate sign of respect. Its like the elder statesman dropping pearls of wisdom and they are grateful for every one.
This is 19 minutes of pure, unalloyed gold. My favorite moments: When Troy said that when he was playing, he was defending "you guys", meaning the Steeler greats that came before him. And every time Mr. Greene was speaking.
When Mike Tomlin says, "The standard is the standard!". He is talking about Joe Greene. And this short video gave us a glimpse of why. #Steelersforever

I remember when I took my 4 year old twin sons to a Steelers game. My sons both had on Troy Polamalu jerseys and after the game we went to the players parking lot, since we had access because my sons cousin Keiwan Ratliff was playing for the Steelers at the time. While in the parking lot Troy was surrounded by so many grown-ups trying to get his autograph. Most likely so they could turn around and sell the item. After Troy opened the door for his wife he looked over the crowd and saw my 2 sons and I about 25 feet away off in the distance. He then summoned for us to come to him and he then signed both of their jerseys! They still have those jerseys to this very day. My sons Bryce and Bronx are now 20 years old and in college.

His legacy should never be forgotten period. Dude is a hall of fame defensive back was phenomenal dB. He then became arguably the best defensive coordinator ever and was a top one in the league for decades.
He just got stuck with some shit teams that didn't have the talent to execute but when you gave him adequate talent his defenses dominated.
Troy was a really really special player, that whole era had a lot of legends in it but Troy moved soo fast and hit so hard, with the hands of a WR but he’s chillen at safety (SS I think)… it’s crazy you never realize how lucky you are to watch players like Troy and Ed Reed on defense till they’re gone but I remember a lot of sundays with friends and family that were great cuz of players like these guys

Troys the best safety ive seen play the game. I feel lucky being able to see such a great player. His snap anticipation was insane.hard hitter. Ball hawk. Run stopper. Everything and anything the team needed Troy delivered. Much Love from a lifelong 9er fan

They were all phenomenal, but Troy is the most naturally talented of them all. Troy might be one of the most talented people who has ever lived. I’d put him right up there with. Mozart and Rembrandt.

lots of great steelers in the teams history but Troy Polamalu is easily my favorite. his play and his humble personality just set him apart.

i was so happy i got to watch woodson and then later troy and harrison, was born in 78 so i missed out on mean joe but watching vids of them from their day, something magical these are the best players from the different eras. proud of my steelers and im proud to be born in that area and being a fan

What a film! Would have loved to have seen Jack Lambert and Donnie Shell in on that as well. Joe was inspirational.
Lambert is my all time favorite player. 1976 Defensive Player of the Year. The 76 Steeler defense was the best defense in the history or football. 5 shutouts in the last 9 games. 28 points allowed during those 9 games and just 138 points allowed for the entire season. The whole starting defense for the AFC Pro Bowl that year wore a black helmet with a golden yellow stripe down the middle. 85 Bears had the second best defense in history. Donnie Shell was never Defensive Player of the Year or at least I don't think he was.

The fantasic four! All of these men put fear in their opponents soul. As a dedicated fan of 50 years, I watched all of you in awe over the years. Thank you all for your service to our great team. Mostly thank you for the memories. It is always fun wathing a Steeler keeping the opponents team doctors busy on Sunday

So fortunate to have watched all Super Bowls and all these players! My fave is Jack Lambert! 💖🏈 He didn't take any crap from anybody!! So much talent for so many years!!😊
My all time favorite player was Mr. Lambert also. He sure didn't take any crap, he dished it out in spades. Was the Steelers #2 draft pick in 74. That draft was the best ever for any team in the history of football. The Steelers drafted 4 Hall of Famers in that draft. Swann #1, Lambert #2, Webster #3 and Stallworth #4. Such an amazing draft. Lambert use to tell Swann all the time that he should have been #1. Of course all Swann could do was laugh nervously while looking away.
I love the attention and respect Joe draws when he speaks. What a legend.

This was glorious my three favorite players all at the table...my three favorite Steelers all talking about that Steeler Pride. I think every generation of Steeler Players coming first day in to work should all be sitting in a room watching highlights of these guys and here these stories so that they could see first hand who's backs they are standing on. No throwing, no tackling no nothing on the field. 12 to 24 hours of Steeler legends and their highlights, then you get to take the field. Especially Defensive Players coming in!! Go Steelers.... Black & Gold 4 Life!!

The 3 starting linebackers for the AFC Pro Bowl for a couple years in a row. Blount of course was one of the starting cornerbacks as well. Kind of sad that Russell was at the end of his career when Ham and Lambert were just starting theirs.
Watched everyone except Joe, a lot of great memories especially when Troy arrived.

I'm not really a Steelers fan, but this was still a pretty Epic conversation with the Steelers DPOY award winners. I can remember watching Monday Night Football with my dad and seeing Mean Joe Green "Bear-Mauling" RB's on tackles for losses. 🐻Congrats to TJ on earning his seat at the table as well.

I grew up just outside of Latrobe and my dad took me to training camp one year…probably around ‘74-‘76…and as the players came out on to the field, you maybe had a minute to snag an autograph. As Joe came out the crowd that rushed him was immediate. I moved with the crowd but I was a very small kid, a very small Asian(ish) kid. I was very intimidated by the whole scene. When Joe stopped to sign autographs, the closest I got was 3-4 bodies deep. I was looking up through a blockade of Steelers fans catching an occasional gimps of Joe’s face through the swaying shoulders. But then I see a huge hand parting this sea of bodies as it came directly towards me. He grabbed the pen and paper from my hand and I was one of the few autographs he signed that session. That had a HUGE impact on me as a kid. Joe is and will always be my favorite Steeler.

That is who I was forgetting, Mel Blount. He won it in 75 I think? Which would mean that a Steeler won it 3 years in a row. 4 out of 5 years. Greene in 72 and 74, Blount in 75 and Lambert in 76. hahahhaha no other team could say that. Nothing can compare to the Steel Curtain. I laugh at the 85 Bear defense.
