I just like time stamps.
11696Ron he actually showed the shield 1.0 lol
11696Ron always appreciate when people mark the video like that! Thanks man
Yeah, in the video he shows the original M&P Shield. But, he said he recommends buying the second gen version and linked the video he made on the M2.0 in the description.
Nick Pilney Up
No Taurus at all? PT709, PT740, PT111 G2 are all excellent. Stop being a hater.
P365 is awesome, easy to carry everyday. I forget that I'm wearing it it's so comfortable and I've put around 1000 rounds through it with various ammo and 0 failures.
Shield 2.0 9mm with green Crimson Trace laser. Extremely accurate out to 15 yards. Less than 1 inch thick . Weighs only 20 ounces. Easy to carry all day , every day.
9mm is such a great round. It’s lighter, faster, and usually cheaper. It’s easy to train with, easy to shoot, and you can carry more of it. Really, 9mm is the best round out there. That is why I carry a .45 M&P Shield.
9mm kills the body, but .45 kills the *sOuL*
God bless you Hegshot.
Very professional and honest reviews you do.
Thank you for taking the time to put these together brother.
Thank you for explaining the options. Outstanding and Semper Fi
Very solid presentation, great advice all around, and reassuring to hear your commentaries and recommendations. Thanks HS87.
Great list! Love the P-365. Great video, keep them coming.
Belly Band Holster I can carry everything but my choices are the Ruger LC9S Pro, Glock 26, & a Ruger SP101 .357 magnum. Love carrying the Revolver!
@Evan Moyer I quit using a belly band. Way too hot in the summer, and if you have any belly hair like me, it causes a lot of itching and ingrown hairs. I use an Alien Gear IWB holster, strong side for my compact and subcompact guns now.
LC 9S pro with night sites,Kimber K6S, and life card. I would love to own an ideal conceal.380,if they ever come out on the market.
Love your choices......Glock 29,or 27 with a couple of 15 round mags where it’s legal ducken Democrats
Cute
My normal carry is a G19 and my smaller carry is a G26 that everyone seems to forget these days. Great choices overall and good discussion hegshot.
Well done.. Just a solid video.. Thanks for posting it...
Nice video and very helpful to newer shooters and CCW carriers. I agree with you on all the guns you picked.
Great informative video as usual hegshot. I truly standing agreement with your assessment of these concealed carry firearms. I carry a firearm concealed both professionally and in my personal life. When I first started on the job one of the guns that was on the approved list for us. As our approval list has both single stack and double stack platform options. Luckily my personal handgun at the time was on the approved list which was the first generation M&P Shield. As time went on I upgraded to a Glock model 26 and just recently I fired a 9 mm 2.0 Shield of one of my colleagues. The Improvement Smith & Wesson made toThe Shield platform seriously impressed me enough that afternoon I went and purchased and brand new M&P Shield 2.0 in 9 mm.
Although I do like Glocks but being a lifelong Smith & Wesson fan, it is certainly nice to be carrying a Smith on my hip again. Somehow the the Stars seem to be in better alignment for me now... lol
Walther PPS outshoots all the others I've owned them all and the Walther is scary accurate and reliable
Agreed. The Walther feels great, shoots great and is very accurate. I don't like the trigger on the 365 or Glock and the Shield is kinda blah.
The Walther PPS m2 is absolutely awesome! I personally shoot the 42 better, and it is smaller and lighter, so that is what I carry. But if you just got to have a 9mm the Walther has no equal. Plus you can get those brand new for $299.
Where for 299.00
Justin Bissett shield is ultra blah!
Amen!
Love my Walther pistols as well brother.
Thanks for a very informative video.
Just caught your video my man. You are very helpful and informative. Thanks and I hope you keep em coming.
Add that Taurus G2c! ☆Reliable
☆ Buy two for the price of one Sig P365 and practice ammo to boot.
Have one n I carry it
We are going to see if the gun shop fixed my son's P365 as it malfuctioned straight away from the start. Meanwhile I've been shooting my $200 Taurus G2C and have not had ONE issue. Just saying.
I agree I got mine 5 years ago. Don't need anything else.
H&K VP9 SK amazing gun clean and crisp trigger. Also carries 10, 12or 15 round magazines with little differences in concealment.
I own this gun and it’s GREAT!
Consistently shoots straight and does not jam!!!
Awesome video keep up the great work
Really informative video. Many thanks!
Another great presentation ... I agree with your choices of carry weapons there... I carry the Walther PPS and love it !.. But I've shot the M&P and the P 365 and feel both are superb! I love the Sig trigger! Thanks once again for a very informative video
Nice video. Thanks. You included two that I carry -- PPS &LCP (2's). My normal everyday is a G19 OWB fully concealed with an open overshirt. Also sometimes and M&P 9c.
awesome vid thank you
I agree with the holster comment. A comfortable low profile holster is essential for conceal carry. I have a very similar holster as you. The company is called “CYA” and it is made by a former member of the military. This holster is extremely comfortable, I forget that I’m carrying after about 20 minutes of wearing it, and best of all I love that by buying this product I’m supporting a former member of the US military. On a side note, I am a former police officer (Retired after 25 years of service) and we were always taught to let the slide snap with a lot of force when racking it so you keep the spring tension taught. Try not to gingerly pull back on the slide.
I have the CYA holster for my PPS M2 and I totally agree with you. I hardly can tell it's there. Very comfortable and stable.
All great guns. The lcp2 is a must for anyone that isn't allowed to carry at work.
Great video, and do you know why? Because you spent your time on the topic, not on YOU!! There are a LOT of gun video guys who need to learn this.
Pocket vs. holster carry is the dividing line for me.
For pocket carry I use the Ruger LCP (first gen). This little gun has never had a single malfunction of any kind. If I grip it very tightly and focus on the front sight well it’s reasonably accurate at 5 yards.
For holster carry (IWB does not work for me) it’s either the S&W model 37 or 19. I like a thumb-break leather holster.
Outstanding review
Love my PPS m2 Walther. Second choice M&P shield 2.0
I carry my .45 shield every day, great gun
Quite informative !!
Good job!!
I love:
1. Single, double action firearms with a hammer, as it gives me the sense of security that I have control over my hammer too.
2. Double stack magazines, with 15+ rounds in a magazine, even if my first handgun was a single stack 8 round magazine. I also didn't feel underpowered with the 7.65 round.
3. Up until I shot my first polymer framed pistol, I would automatically go for an all steel handgun.
4. I love shooting the Beretta mod 92 FS, but for my hand size, the grip is too big for me not to adjust my hand when utilizing the HOD.
5. The polymer Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm with 17 round magazines, fits my hands perfectly, and recoil is comfortable.
6. Problem for me with the polymer frames are:
6.1. Pistols are too light for me.
6.2. I dislike striker fire, not for the functions it provides, but that I can't grasp and control the hammer with my thumbs, obviously dependent on which hand I'm using to shoot.
6.3. Doesn't feel all that durable to me. Yes I know they are durable, but it's the sensation while holding the handgun I get.
6.4. It's not what I was taught on, and at that time all steel pistols and revolvers were the bomb, and Glock was the only polymer with any form of claim to fame.
6.5. Polymer usually signifies that a pistol is striker fired to me, and I want my external hammer with the single, double action capabilities. First shot is heavier and you know the fight is on.
7. Reasons I might go for a polymer pistol:
7.1. It's light enough to carry with almost any kind of pants.
7.2. If it's a single, double action pistol, familiarity of all pistols I've shot are there.
7.3. The grips are usually exchangeable with extra grips already there for my hand size that can't modulate the bigger grips without readjusting my hand.
7.4. In pistols, I love Beretta, and it's literally no fuss cleaning, disassembling, reassembling for me. Okay, all firearms you just need to learn that method, train with that specific make, and all is easy.
7.5. Specifically speaking of the PX4 Storm in comparison to the Mod 92FS (the reasons I kept with the PX4 Storm were):
7.5.1. Grip
7.5.2. The trigger safety, which protects the hammer from engaging the firing pin.
7.5.3. Extra rounds from a standard set-up.
7.5.4. Weight
7.5.5. Rotating barrel is a cool energy distribution factor for recoil purposes.
7.5.6. The ambidextrous magazine release, as I normally carry left handed, but with maintenance shooting, I am normally instructed to shoot right handed, of which I'm luckily ambidextrous too.
8. Sights, well they are just perfect for me.
9. I'm confident that the recoil for my 155Lbs structure is easy to control with both my primary choices when drawing one handed, as my shooting practices involves me blocking a perpetrator with my free hand while shooting with my designated firearm hand. So up to 9mm in pistols and 38Sp in revolvers works best for me.
10. My choices may not make your grade, but they are my choices. Just like your choices are yours, and I'm certain if a shooter comes to you and ask for a specific brand of firearm with viable choices, you would do your research to accommodate the specifics they need or require.
Maybe make a video yourself and help us with your knowledge. Thnx
@@johnvillamil3138 I rather train and ensure I have more competent people on carrying than thinking a video would make a person better at shooting. I do not like videos of myself.
When it comes to South African laws on firearms we are limited with the amount of firearms we may own, and would someone want to see me fumble over my own tongue.
If ever I'm in the USA and at a shooting range testing weapons, I would probably do it. But my voice will annoy me, and inadvertantly have me not post the video.
I'd rather sing than speak on a video.
I carry even at home a G19 that holds 15 + 1 and a back up 15 round mag. With this i always feel prepared.
G19 is awesome got one also
🔥🔥🔥💯
At home I carry a Glock 17. I wanted the 19 not sure why I didn’t get it
I've got the G19 Gen-3.... Simplicity...I'll never get rid of it ...
Great video.. Thank you 👍👍👍
Thanks for the video Mr & Mr Heg! Great Top 5 list as always!! I still haven’t put my CZ P10c back in the safe, but if I do pick up a P365 or finally get my CZ P01 Omega, I might have to.
I just wonder how many of you gun enthusiast have actually been in a situation where you have to defend your life with your gun? I'm a newbie, just two months since I started carrying and already went to a stressful situation in a little park in front of my home while walking my dog at night. I've been watching a lot of videos like this one where people own lots of guns and are really into the lifestyle and get really curious about stories of people that actually have been forced to use their guns. Stay safe my friends.
Buds got pps around 319 and 350 for the le version with all 3 mags 6,7 and 8
Great video bruh!
Great selection!
I carry a M&P40 plus I'm a bigger guy. Stays concealed very well
Never had a good .40 cal pistol, like the .30-30 of pistols but m&p is great gun
I recommend the 365 and shield, personally. Though I like the 19/23/32 sized glocks, the trigger on the 42/43 models was uncomfortable. I found it actually pinched my finger skin making follow-ups feel unnatural.
I got an EZ and 365 to use inside of the Glock 43x for the reason you mentioned about the trigger. I never got used to the 43x trigger
Love your vids
Great vid 👍🏻
I have the Glock 43X, S&W Shield Performance Center (gen 1) and Sig P365. I like each of them for different reasons, but all are excellent for concealed carry. You won't go wrong with any of them.
.380 is plenty of bang for your buck.
Just bought p365, very happy. All the other guns have them. Glockenspiel Sig. S.W. very good, etc.
I agree!
My carry for 2 legged critters is my G 20 Gen 4 10mm and for 4 legged critters my Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in 454 Casull.
Good info, this guy knows his stuff
Thanks for the video! Let me know where you shop for guns though those prices are crazy good
Where is the Springfield xds? As long as you slide the slide an extra time before loading magazine after cleaning no chance of misfire and very very accurate gun, I can literally almost sharpshoot with it
I'm gonna be really asshurt if my P365 isn't on this list. I love that little fella.
Good vid, ty. Great to see a vid of stock guns being compared.
I constantly carry my P365XL along with my P938. The 365XL stock mag carries 12+1 15+1 with the extended mag. The 938 flush mount mag is 6+1 and the extended holds 7+1. Love these everyday carry my wife loves her P238. Yep we're a SIG house.
my first gun and my edc is the sig p938. forever favorite.
Everybody sleeps on the M&P 9c. That version 1 can not be beat for concealed carry!
CharlieJulietSierra yes sir own one we were hitting cans from 25 yards yesterday .
my 40c shoots better groups than my vp9sk or my P365xl
Thanks for keeping it real.
I love all the walther comments. It is very easy to shoot, super accurate, slim and light. I love my CZ’s, but the PPS M2 is a sweet little carry gun for sure. Highly recommend.
Picked up a S&W PC Shield and my J-frame.........both pocket carry depends on what I am doing what I carry
Excellent lineup. I only carry the LCP 2 for now, but would like to go to a belt carry at some point. Thanks for the preview on Patreon.
That's a great option for deep concealment. Thanks for the support brother
chuck middleton - About as light as you'll get if you want to stay with 380. I use an Aholster front pocket Kydex holster specific to the LCP 2 for even less printing (overall width). Love it. I also have a larger pistol for home and car, but not carry. 👍
Nice video hope all is good on the home front!
Nice review . 👍
Have the PPS M2 . Came with a 6, 7, and 8 round mags. My EDC
Walther PPS M2 for me until Fall, then it's an SA Range Officer Compact in 9mm for me.
Thank you
Great video, thanks for sharing. We have very strict gun laws here in the UK and it’s near impossible to get hold of a handgun unless you know the black market. I have a vast collection of replica air and blank firing pistols and would love a real one purely for the pleasure of owning one. It’d be the Sig P365 for me if you could sneak me one over the pond. Cheers, Jon.
Here we are five months later. Sig has fixed all the Gen I issues. I have the Gen ll 1,500 rounds through it. Not one malfunction.
Edit. Yes one malfunction. But was do too reload ammo. Not enough powder. Failure to cycle. My fault not the weapons.
Great choices. I think of pistols this size as back up. I carry a Sig P938 with a 7 round mag and a 6 round mag for this purpose. There are also times when a 1911 can’t go. It is very ammo sensitive, but otherwise accurate and reliable. It is easy to run the single action when the other is the same design.
I carry a 320SC in a brave response belly band holster and love it. I had originally purchased the brave response as temporary holster until I could get the one I want but I now carry with that holster in all conditions. From gym shorts & t-shirt all the way to suit and tie. Love the gun and love the holster. My wife is going to be getting a 365 in the near future. We love the size and capacity of that gun!
I'd like to add the Ruger LC9s Pro. It has not failed me and had a very nice trigger.
Ya know something, I've never had any problems with any Rugers. They make a very very very dependable weapon
Just bought the Ruger LCP II for all the reasons you mentioned. Though “just” a .380, it is the most comfortable to carry. And if I won’t carry, what’s the point? Plus I just love Ruger!
Great video,I went for the SW MP..ButSpringfeild XDS 9mm,was great fit and sights,Four years now, love it..
M&P shield 45, 7 plus 1 of 45cal, you can't go wrong with it. It's powerful light and comes with a external safety, very accurate and easy to maintain. My go to.
I carry the S&W shield 9mm everyday and I am very happy with it
Hi Richard, my favorite too. Great pistol.
5'6" I carry a G19 in an alpha concealment taco style holster ECERY DAMN DAY!
I'm 5'6" I carry a glock 19x with a tier1 appendix holster
@@recon1986 I've got a similar setup now
Kore Essential belts are AWESOME thank you for the video
The one I carry is the Springfield Hellcat. Shoots good and I love it small and large round mag.
The Sig P365 is my favorite carry gun. It is very small for the rounds that it holds. Good trigger on it also.
Since you included 380 cal. guns in your video you should have included the Sig 238.
The 43 is a beautiful weapon
Thanks for the information. One thing you missed is the take down for cleaning and the ease in racking.
Been carrying my PX4 Storm Compact for a few months and i love it! A little bulky but with the right holster i carry it AIWB with a tank top perfectly concealed. Great video!
I really want the Storm Subcompact. Seems like a great gun. Im sure the Compact is too but the Subcompact is probably better for CC
I carry a VP9sk in a Stealthgear ventcore appendix holster. Love both of them. The only one on this list I would consider is the Walther PPS.
The sig p365 is also a great option. I have the PPS and love it!
What you think on the VP9SK for carry?
Pps m2 been my carry for about a year now, absolutely love it. When the weather permits here in az i like to carry something with higher capacity but the pps is my main
Want to carry comfortably? Get a sturdy gunbelt and use an OWB holster. I carry a CZ 83 chambered in 9 Browning (13+1 capacity) and a spare mag this way and this time of year the holstered gun and spare mag conceal well under a t-shirt.
Good video my friend , as always ....
Great video and you are well spoken young man but I was surprised that you didn’t have the Taurus Gc2 and it comes with 2 12 rounds magazine I know
Taurus is not a fan boy brand but man they’ve come along way and
I just purchased the Gc3 9mm a week ago and I absolutely love it , already put aprox 400 rounds thru it and a amazing bargain MSF is 304 $ I got it thru a local store here in the Tampa Bay Area for 259$ and its comfortable for conceal carry , not downing the other pistols you mentioned there all great but for the magazine capacity and the price you can’t go wrong with the Gc3 , another great carry option is the px 4 storm compact but it’s a lil pricey
Getting my g3c today and cannot wait to try it out.
I like the sights best on the Walther pps2 easy for me to line up quickly
They are outstanding sights!
Taurus G2/G3 Awesome carry’s 13 Shots. Good video brother.
Any p365 made after 8/2018 should be golden, I love mine I've put about 1k rounds through it, runs like a champ
Definitely a great list.
My two EDC’s didn’t make your list. The G19 and G26. I carry the Gen4 G26 about 80% of the time in a T-Rex Arms side car holster with an extra 15 round mag.
LCPII is my carry,, Best ever!
I have an Amish harness maker make my belts. They are fitted correct, don't stretch out and carry my firearm securely. I tuck my T shirt and use a non stretch strap (grey to match my T shirt) from the right holster position (I carry outside the belt) over my right shoulder, down my back and under my left arm to the left pocket area, (where I carry my extra magazines). I carry one of 4 pistols. M&P M2.0, M&P9c, M&P Shield 380 EZ and the M&P Bodyguard. After years of research and feedback from students, I found the S&W M&P line to be the most comfortable and reliable handgun.
Carry a Walther P99 for years. Light, reliable and I already own it!
Had a Shield but I sold it for a superior firearm the Walther PPS literally better in every way and I got it for $300 shipped
I have the shield with the side clip and its so comfortable I forget I'm wearing it and i carry appendix
...love the Shields...super pistols....where do you find side clips Craig? Never seen them...thanks...
Hey man, awesome video! So, on the s&w M&P 9 shield.. if the center sight is off a tad, is this something I can adjust myself? Or am I stuck with a cockeyed m&p 9 shield?
Mon-Sat -- Glock 19 OWB with an overgarment to conceal. Sunday -- PPS M2 IWB with Vedder Light- Tuck holster or sometimes LCP-2 pocket or ankle holster.
I went with a Glock 26 and now I carry a Glock 19 and I'm not even a big guy! Even during summer I can carry my Glock 19. My secret is the incredible comfortable hybrid holster from white hat. All I do is to have a positive "cant" and the G19 dissappears. I tried the single stack thing and didn't find it better. That's why my Glock 43 went bye bye.
I own a Sig 365, and have put about 500 rounds through it so far. It has been 100% reliable with many different types of ammo. It's comfortable to shoot, has great sights, it's very accurate, and holds 10+1 rounds. I cary it with the flush mag in a IWB holster, and it just disappears. the other 4 guns in this video are all good choices, but I wouldn't trade the 365 for any of them.
Thanks for you insight I just put in for my license and I am new to the game now I have some good options for my wife and I 👍🏾
M&P 4" M2.0, M&P Shield M2.0, Sig Sauer P320 Carry, Sig Sauer P938 or P365, Ruger LCP 2, these are my rotation and whenever Canik drops their TP9 Sub Elite Compact it will go into rotation as well.
Surprised that you dont have any CZ pistols. I carry a CZ po7 as my primary, and it is the most accurate pistol I own right out of the box.
I have recently become a fan of cz. Personal favorite is the 75d per. Lightweight, concealable, and 15 round magazine. These guns are often overlooked, but are good guns.
