people are finally starting to notice these cars. owned mine forever and never saw or heard people talk about them like now. 👍🏽
Well now they are more affordable, but still awesome nonetheless!
Marty Motoring Affordability is only part of picture for same price you can get M3, C63 and E60m5 are even less. The game changer was cracking ecu and creating tune for car. A FBO RR Racing Tune with Tuned Intake are making between 420whp n 430whp some are making bit more. Thats 500 at crank! Add RR Racing S/C with choice of 3 different kits 625hp,670hp and 725hp kit. These changes have allowed ISF to run against some serious competition. 10yr later this car is still competitive with current crop of sports cars and sedans, with reliability of Lexus and very rare. Its grest combination add to fact all style cues it had in 2008 that all automotive journalists, bloggers vlogger and alike all complained about 8 speed trans, power dome hood, side vents in front fenders, the supposed fake exhaust, no manual trans well guess what just about every automaker are now using these very same things. This car was head of its time company's like Ferrari,Mercedes, GM, Ford even BMW and many others are using those very same styling cues so ISF has aged much better than its competitors from same time period.
The second I saw those quad stacked pipes on the freeway in 2009, I've been talking about it.
Lexus ISF is super slept on 👌🏽
Theyre noticing them now because of price. That and that the 2010+ isf is idemtical in performance to the rcf lol. Who would waste money on new rcf idk...lol. this car is better buy. Rcf is pathetic in performance comapred to c63s, m4 and rs5.
Without even watching the video.
YES ITS WORTH IT
True 😂 Awesome cars
I just traded my 2006 IS 350 for a 2008 IS F. That thing is a monster, the sound alone is worth it. The 350 was a great car and I really enjoyed it. Also the IS F gas mileage sux but it's a 5.0 beast
I do like the V6 sound but nothing beats the V8 sound!
As an owner of both I can say that Isf can get better mpg on the highway than 350. My 350 never gets over 25 but I’ve gotten 28 in the F many times. 350 is better in the city mpg though
This is an old comment but, what do u average in the F?
I've owned both sold the is350 to get the ISF both daily driven, ISF overall better even thou I loved the is350 the ISF puts a smile everyday I drive it
Can't disagree with you there!
Which was cheaper to maintain?
@@johnnyx5623 same so far honestly, both had standard recommended maintenance done, the only thing more expensive was changing the spark plugs on the isF because it has 2 more so more labor, which I did as a preemptive measure. The only major wallet impact is gas.
@@glerink how much different is the mpg Bc Ik the is350 has better mpg but how noticeable is it
@@-Louis very noticeable
Isf for ~$20k vs is350 for about ~$7k-$9k. I have a 350 and It’s everything that I need!
most definitely don’t go for those prices now
Is350 $9k-$14k
ISF $25k-$35k

isf is better in every way than the 350

I really miss those cooled seats. Great review man. Glad to see your channel growing.
Thanks man!
I'm saving up now for a Lexus ISF, I think it is very much worth it with the extra power, and the exclusivity of this beast, but is350 is no slouch now.
If you like power go with the F . The IS350 is cheaper but you wont regret spending more for the power and exclusivity.
Worth it! Don't let the 08-09 scare you away cause of the lack of an LSD. You can throw one in pretty east. Bought mine for a lot cheaper since it's not the car that everyone wants.
I got the special build isf model

Dope video man this channel will get bigger for sure
My first time owning a sport sedan. I just bought an IS 350 about a week ago and damn this car is great and its super fun to drive. I love it.
Just got myself IS350 as a new project!!! Love this car!
I wish I could afford IS F. One day...!
Respect good job on weight loss. I owned Toyota sienna '99 and it was a perfect vehicle. Now I own Toyota Sequoia '06 and it's an absolute beast the best vehicle I have owned. My next vehicle will be a Lexus isf for sure what a beautiful ride and the combo of performance and luxury is just great. Thanks for the great content and cheers
Had my 2008 IS350 with 131k miles for 5 years and probably spent 500-600$ in repairs (water pump, alternator) but of course if I would of known I would have the job I have now I would for sure have bought the ISF
HBD (late) and congrats on the weight loss dawg
Happy belated birthday!! Nice daily driver choice with the 350!! 👍
IS 4LIFE Thank you!
I love my is350, but hands down to the isF anyday
2013 ISF, bought it new 01/05/2013, easily the best car I've owned. Don't drive it daily, but when I do drive it, nothing but fun. Very un-assuming car, most people don't know what it is.......likes to eat Mustangs, Camaros and especially M46's and E90's. Eats gas and has a tendency to eat the front tires (can be corrected with some aftermarket bushings). Factory headers tend to crack due to poor design, just gives you a good reason to upgrade to PPE + exhaust + intake, 400 + at the wheels and keep stomping people, especially little girls in Mini Cooper S (LMAO).
One in my area with 135k for 17.9k in white and 2008. should i buy or wait for another to pop up??? Will it be reliable as a daily with this many miles??
Your video about the new DRL installation was pretty much what convinced to the point of going the 350 over the F, sure Id prefer the F, but realistically what I do, doesnt require the F over 350, or even 250 to be honest. Def can get one much quicker as well.
I'm about to pull the trigger on either a ISF ,gs360 or 460L, what your opinion on what year of each is less problematic. I'm buying used up to 2013
Didnt need a 10min to know that yes it is worth it. Its way more special, its wayyy faster in every way, sounds better and looks cooler. No comparison.
Definitely more rare, a little bit faster and performance minded and looks cool, no doubt. Less than a second faster on the drag strip, but better at roll races. Also about double the price, which may not be worth it for who put a lot of miles on with their commute. Worth it? Yes. For everyone? Not really.
@@MartyMotoring i agree for people that commute to work or w.e very far should look elsewhere for a car. Or should have another car as daily and this for the fun stuff.
@@MartyMotoring a little bit faster? dude its in a completely different league
3dot8_bedmr - Like I said, only .4 seconds faster in a quarter mile and .6 seconds faster 0-60 than my IS350 as per recorded times and our drag strip experience.
It is a better car sure, and I guess the Fs are “their own league”. But it’s still based on the same chassis. It’s also not a super car, just a V8 sedan with aggressive gearing. I still would like to get one eventually.
@@MartyMotoring watch the video from ISFASTER where he races his mate in a is350. both had a decent launch and the isf completely destroyed it. so its not just 'a little bit' faster. however for half the money i'd get the is350, no question. too bad we only have the is250 and the shitty is220 diesel here in switzerland
My IS350 is shifting back gear when I push accelerator too, why yours isn't? Plus it have vent. and warm seats.
Damn this car is nice I was wondering which use car to buy as a Lexus I think I finally found what imma buy now .Thanks for the video!!
I know this video is old but I would def love to have a isf if I could find one with not so many miles on it and at a good price but of course that’s way harder to find. Love the v8 and just the look of the car in general
Thinking about buying an ISF that was involved in accident, the two driver side doors need to be replaced forsure, do you guys know if the regular is350 doors would fit if i just switched the interior panels ?
Wait so when your IS350 is in drive it does nothing when you hit the paddles? My IS250 will let me down or up shift. But my IS250 is a 2009.
Does lexus still update maps for these older models?
Unfortunately I have a is250 which I love but I think my next car will be either a 350 or isf.
Same
we dont even have the is350s here in europe for some reason, we do have the isf's, but theyre like 30k usd and up
is there anyway to add the feature at 6:27 to a normal is350 either by tune. ecu, etc?
IS350s are getting to a good price now, around $22,500 will get a really nice one.
A really clean, stock ISF, say the 2014-2014 models, are now in the $45,000 to $50,000 range. The 2008 models are cheaper, under $30,000 but with high kms.
Hope to get in a nice Mercury Grey 350 F-Sport this year.
Exactly. I rather get a black 2012-2013 IS350 f-sport than a high mileage 2008 ISF. I never owned a lexus let alone a is350. I would be content with a newer is350 2nd gen 2012-2013 models.
@@moa-wg3bo I just sold my IS350 for $27k and got a 2010 ISF for about $45k.
Going to start the long process of modding and documenting on my channel.
In NZ I can buy 2x IS-350 for the price of 1x IS-F. So if I had to answer which car performs better then of course it's the IS-F, but which car is better performance for the money? The IS-350 wins there. The IS-F has the better transmission, but you could supercharge the 2GR-FSE, the 09 JDM Mark X was supercharged as a factory option, or an aftermarket HKS kit will bump the output of the IS-350 closer to that of the IS-F and you'd still have money left over. Lotus supercharges the 2GR-FE and makes in excess of the power of the 2UR-GSE that's in the IS-F. Not arguing against the IS-F being totally awesome as is, but the IS-350 has more potential for tuning, at least in my local market. There's also a handling advantage in the IS-350 with a lighter engine, and less in front of the front wheels, the IS-350 could be enhanced to surpass the IS-F with a set of adjustable suspension struts and a pair of cusco sway bars.
I agree! Good suspension and a supercharger would make it compete with the IS-F. I need to look into different supercharger kits for this car.
So there is supercharges for this car???? But no turbo kits ??? Lol i have had mine for about 5 yrs its an 08 is 350 lol always wondered this? And how much of hp or times or speed can be capable off with a supercharger??? Lol
@@jayA-ir3vv Yes, Toyota actually did it from factory, Australia almost got a supercharged Camry too with a 2GR-FE like the variant Lotus used.. Supercharging is generally much easier to tune for than Turbocharging, partly due to the lower levels of boost and it's predictability at certain revs compared to turbocharging. The supercharged Mark X in Japan gets about 4-5psi off the supercharger boosting power by about 50hp, not substantial but that's considered a safe for life of the engine level by Toyota, I imagine it would be quite difficult to get hold of the factory setup, I don't think many were produced. The Lotus version of the 2GR-FE (a little lower compression than the 2GR-FSE) was a fair bit more extreme in improvements to power levels over 400hp, or 100+ hp improvement. The aftermarket HKS supercharger kit for the IS350 includes an aftermarket tuned ECU - Google 'is350 hks supercharger' and look at the hks-power jp site to get an idea of what it entails
@@64-bitMicro bro thanks didnt know all this but i always wanted to turbocharging it Just knew it would be a lot of work and money, but knowing how quick it already is naturally and how much quicker and faster it could get thats dope deff im going look into this HKS supercharger
Look up RR racing you'll thank me ;)
Had a 2011 IS350 awd loved the car but then a 2012 ISF popped up a year later and I traded in the 350 for the F and never looked back
2010-2014 best year for ISF 👍
Hey Martin, got a quick question for ya since you seem to be one of not many people with access to that generation of 350 and F.
Do you notice a difference in headroom between the IS350 and IS-F? I like to sit up straight, and I'm also 6'3" - I test drove an IS350 (with the moonroof - I've heard that reduces headroom), and I had to open the moonroof cover and tilt my head through it or lean the seat way back to sit in the thing. I've heard the next-gen (2013+) IS has more room, and the ones without the sun/moonroof have more room as well, but I'm having trouble finding one without the roof. (who wouldn't want a moonroof? :| ) I might be open to expanding my budget to get an F, but I'd want to fit in it. Any observations?
This is a unique one I never get to talk about! Being in both, I feel like the seats are about the same with how low to the floor they can go. Maybe the F goes lower since it doesn't have the cooling fans? But it definitely is hard sitting up straight in either. The seats are less bulky and bolstery on the non-F car, so that may help. Either way, you're kinda looking out of the top portion of the windshield as you are driving. My brother who is 6'3" has to open the moonroof cover as well, his hair just fits under it. The issue with this is that the A pillar becomes a bad blindspot.
I'd see if you can find a base IS350 without the moonroof - that'll give you more headroom, possible lower seats without cooling fans? and less to spend!
@@MartyMotoring sounds good, thanks for the tip! I'm also curious if there's some extra metal somewhere on the seat mounts I can shave down, but that's a project.
Anyway, I'll be looking for the non-moonroof base IS350 for the next little while, but they're a little hard to find. Everybody gets the moonroof. :( I'm just a couple hours south in VA, so if you happen to hear about a good non-moon base model for sale, I'll definitely buy it and hook you up with a finder's fee.
Once you sell the van you should get a Prius
Already sold shortly after the video 😂 No Prius. Probably a truck
does this car have a cold air intake and if so what brand?
I drove 4 hours round trip to pick up a silver 2010.5 ISF last year, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Great daily driver with a split personality.
I’m also in the Susquehanna Vally area (Lancaster), maybe see you guys around. My other car is an ‘03 Neon SRT-4. It’s a bit quicker than the ISF, and I’m torn between selling the SRT to buy mods for the ISF or just keep the ISF stock and continue modding the neon.... it’s a harder decision than it would seem.
They are awesome cars! Yeah, we will have to meet up sometime to do Lexus stuff 😂
Sell the neon and use that money and save and super charge your Lexus and make it into a beast
It’s a fucking neon. Get rid of that trash and enjoy your real car
I own an first gen lexus is200/toyota altezza and I'm looking to get the 2nd gen isf so I can turn my is200 into a drift car.
What's the fuel consumption in that vehicle please?
Happy Birthday Leo brother!
Idk if I want a muscle car I’ll get one no need to get the isf I have the is350 2006 and I be beating g35s 350 z bmws left and rite I’m happy with my is350
I just bought a lovely 2012 gs 450h f sport love it so far. V6 34hbhp rear wheel drive. Feels nice.
Love my IS350 but really want that ISF
Bang for the buck, taking into account the cost of the is350 plus the cost of modifications and time, I think the isf would be the strong winner. It's got everything you could ever want in stock form. What is the cost difference in maintenance, registration and insurance?
Good point - my Is350 was $10k, plus $3k in mods with wheels and such. So 13k for 306hp. ISFs are at least 20k for similar mileage. Registration and insurance are similar costs - maintenance would just be that the ISF takes more oil. But similar over all. ISF is a better performance bargain. IS350 just makes a less aggressive daily :)
I still want an F...or a 2014 is350 and try to swap a 2j lol. No one said I couldn't dream 😁
What about when you add the stage 2 supercharger from RR Racing for 6600$? IS350 = 19600 with your mods included.
@@RubberChickenMan007 I had a JZX-91 Mark II running a modified 2JZ, I bought my IS-350 to replace it. While a 2JZ IS-350 would be super cool, just supercharge the 2GR
@@MrMusicweekly and now youve paid 7k to ruined a car to make it close to as fast as isf. Just buy isf. Slapping on forced induction on cars not deisgned for it is a bad idea.
Where do you live? Do you have snow in winter? Maybe with winter tires isf could be a daily car in chicago?
I am in Pennsylvania and we get snow. My car doesn’t do too well. ISF as a daily in winter, even with winter tires, doesn’t sound like a great idea but is still possible
Marty is there an upgrade to the front suspension that will allow for camber adjustment?
I believe there aftermarket control arms for the front to allow that, and rear camber arms, for the rear

I agree with you
If you just doing lots of milage and a daily highway cruiser better to go with Is 350 it's cheaper to buy, cheaper on fuel maintainnce etc.
But if you don't do so many miles daily or have another car it's better to get ISF as a weekend or even now and then daily
Ahmed Moosaji It’ll definitely be Toyota or Lexus! And you got it - I spend less in gas and brakes 🤣
Marty Motoring you can get the rx350 as daily then get ISF for weekends or even the RCF
That would be awesome - to save money I think I will just continue paying the IS350 and get a cheap SUV/Truck
I’d be interested to race an IS350 with my GS460, I got blown away by an ISF on the highway. No idea if it was modified in any way
The ISF is pretty quick thanks to the horsepower and gearing. It always pulls away from my IS350, but I’d be curious how I’d fare against the GS460
The gs460 has the same 8 speed automatic transmission the gs460 also only comes rwd it must be a monster at roll racing
Great comparison! Looking for one as a daily with roughly an hour commute. Would love the f, but not worth the fuel consumption in my scenario

Yup it needs a new tank but my brother is lazy lol

Marty, thanks for all your videos. Has your brother’s isF been reliable like your is350? Thanks
Thanks for watching! Yup his IS350 has been great, 90k miles or so now and just oil changes, tires and brakes done.

Nice!!
Planning in trading in my 2010 Audi S4 for this, but I'm still keeping my options open with the GSF as well.
Any F car will be fun with the V8, quick shifts and reliability! 😎
Just traded my 2011 S4 manual for a 2011 F over a month ago and I have zero regrets! But I’m from mtl where the snow is starting to fall, so the Quattro will be missed... I’m still hesitating to daily it through the winter or not. Other than that minor flaw it’s really incredible, doesn’t compare to the S at all
I wish they had lsd in the early models. I'm looking at a 08 but really wish it had lsd.

Ray L I think it’s from the cold start, any fuel sitting in the cats will get blown out. Also the stock tune runs rich.
I have one for my daily and think that I now only need this one car.
ISF is a solid sedan
I have a is220d which is the diesel version of the isf and the is250
Like having a diesel 4 banger Supra
I think the stock dampers are Sachs not Bilsteins. At least they are on my GS F.
I have an 08 ISF! 124k Great car, Still running strong. Less than 2500 08 were shipped in so hang on to it. Get those lights on the dash taken care of, its a quick diagnostic. Even a jiffy lube will tell you what’s going on for free.
True that. My brother likes his ISF a lot still. The lights were just the AFS fuse and a leaking washer fluid reservoir
Big mod... have an exhaust shop cut off the last set of cats if you want a great v8 sound that doesn't give you droning on the highway.
YES...next question
LS is Lexus’ flagship bro. Lexus doesn’t make sport cars they make luxury cars that can perform a bit lol and I love them still. Lost my Camry to an accident last month but I’m going to finance a ISF next year as soon as I get my credit up
Best of both worlds. LS is the luxury flagship, while ISF was the sportiest car at the time it came out :)
Worst thing you can do is borrow money for a depreciating asset. If you need to borrow money you cant afford it. Don't be stupid.
Also have Sienna 2000 and is350 2006. Sienna is a Tank!
I’m 19 years old, I want to get an isf. Is it worth getting a loan for it? Or just be patient?
Carlos Chavez i don’t think the bank would allow you to get a loan unless you do a joint but even then (at 23 and no credit) I just barely was able to get a loan for my 12k is250 manual. I wish you luck.
What did you end up doing?
Interested to know what you ended up doing
Great van!
I’m thinking of upgrading my IS350 to an ISF. Just doing my research first,
Its a good upgrade. I had an is350, and exchanged it for an ISF 3 years ago. Just hit 120k, and no major issues. Lexus service it for sure, they do the works for 100-200 bux per service. 60k and 120k services are the big ones at 1000.
why i cant buy that 350 in eu only 250 / or f wtf why?xD
I don't know if the F Sport is quite worth the extra to be honest maybe because I don't own it I have test ride it driven do you want to say that and I wasn't particularly impressed I have a 2009 IS 250 all-wheel drive with all options and it's a great car and I have the seats you were talking about that the F Sport has already which I didn't understand I don't know don't think it's worth it
Well FSport and F are two different things. The IS250 and IS350 come in regular versions and an FSport trim with a little better suspension, seats, wheels, instake, exhaust and brakes pretty much. Just a trim level and still the same V6 engine.
The silver IS F in this video is a top model car above the Fsport, with a 5.0L V8, big Brembo brakes, forged BBS wheels, and 8 speed transmission. It’s beefier and faster than any FSport. My car has FSport upgrades but will not compare to the ISF, unfortunately.
Where does the GS460 fit in?
That’s a good question lol. Well the 460 models were only for the GS and LS. IS had the V6 and F only
0-60 which is 1st and 2nd gear can be almost identical between the 2 tho. I'd love an F one day
had an 09.. might buy the newer style 11-14.. loved it
