    you know what affects me about Brian, what really hurts me, why I feel so sorry for him..it's not even the fact that he's dead, because at least now I dare to hope that he has found peace no what hurts me is the way he died and lived, all alone. He had a lonely life without ever being understood by most people and what is tragic is that more than 50 years after his death it is still the same. if you thought that humanity would have evolved in 50 years, well that's a mistake.
    I'm sorry you must have suffered so much Brian but being different is a quality, you carried the light within you, not everyone can perceive it but I see it, I see you and I love you very much, you will always be special in my eyes and in my heart..💔🥀

    Charlie said it at the end, feeling sorry for what they did to Brian. Specially Keith Richards,
    cold-shouldering him and sacking him. Brian was his rival and a far better guitarist, brilliant in fact. Sounds like a plot from Midsomer Murders. The way those eyes stare, cold and hard.

    Brian wrote a lot of good music. Some of the Rolling Stones' pseudonymous hits were created by or with Brian's participation (Play With Fire). His soundtrack to the film proves that Brian was the only real composer in the band, with Mick mostly writing the lyrics and Keith the guitar riffs.

    I've read a lot about this case... Honesty I can't believe all the horrible things that The Band, Well! Let me rephrase that... I mean, Mick and Keith have said about Brian!.. Wow!!! It truly makes me start to rethink about The Character of these two individuals!.. I mean Brian actually put this people together to form this band. Brian named The Band "The Rolling Stones" after he saw a song after the same name on A Muddy Waters Album. Brian played Guitar, Piano, Drums and about 10 other instruments. Brian was in the creation of the first 8 albums. I mean there so many Awesome things to say about this WONDERFUL MUSICIAN AND WHAT HE CONTRIBUTED TO THE ROLLING STONES!!!
    It makes me wonder why Mick and Keith would say so many negative things about a man who is dead?

      @@Cincinnatus1869 So did Keith in the 70. And he wasn t kicked from the band, they just waited for him to colect himself. I wonder if Brian not functioning in the band could be related to some shitty attitude J and K had, Keith himself recognised in his autobiography that while on tour Mick and Keith belittled and made fun of Brian, they knew that behind his stylish apperance BJ was an insecure man. What kind of person do that to a bandmate? Well, a shitty one. And Keith is proud of it because, well, he did that his whole life with everyone. Also the rift became deeper after Anita became Brian s girlfriend. Keith wanted that girl and for quitte a while, he tried to still her but Anita kept shifting between them. So how was B suposed to feel? He had two bullying bandmates, who would also try to still your woman . So, maybe, just maybe, B wasnt involved in the band because they had a crapy attitude, they wanted to take control of the band and B was to only one who could ruin their plans.

    • @Cincinnatus1869
      @Cincinnatus1869 Před 3 lety +8

      @@Laura_Seicean the main difference was that Keith continued to at least show up at rehearsals and recording sessions when he was strung out. Brian had other irons in the fire , and he wasn't interested in the Stones anymore . He didn't even want to play guitar anymore. He was writing with other artists . I don't think they had any choice but to go on without him
      I don't think they were ever as good without him but they had to do something. I wish they'd kept him in the band because they were far more interesting with his input. But I get why they couldn't

      @@Cincinnatus1869 @Old No. 7 I don t have a problem with Brian gone from the band. My problem is with the other members who kept badmouthing him for years after his death. It was such an unneccesary attitude. Also after reading all kind of stuff about the band I suspect that the mood in the RS wasnt that great at all, Keith himself recognised that he and Mick belittled and made fun of B, also when Anita came as B girlfriend, they were jealous as crazy, especially Keith who tried for years to still her from B. So I think B wouldn t show up can be explain in much more ways than they want us to believe.But in the end, I don t have a problem with B leaving the band, he was charismatic and talented enough to start again succesfully, I don t like that over the years the other members just didn t realize their own mistakes in the process while they kept accusing B, they just don t take responsabilities for anything or at least just shut up. I also watched the Doors and over the years his bandmates started to understand Jim s problem, they understood he was ill, he needed treatement, they understood that part of his behavior was a typical behavior of a drinking man and if jim would have get the right treatment, he might have survived and be a better person. So, I guess, that is the kind of behavior I expected from RS to happen over the years - when you grow up, you start to understand things differently and began to see your owm mistakes - but I guess they never realy had a reason to grow up and take responsabilities - they have lawyers whi can do that for them. Also I heard some rumors that B composed some of the songs of the band like Ruby Tuesday but wasn t allowed to take credit because the management wanted to present Jagger and K as the creative force of the band as a mirror for Lennon - McCartney duo. Considering that Mick Taylor claimed the same issue, I tend to think that was a common practice and if it is true I can imagine that B just wouldnt have reason to stick around too much if they wouldn t allow him to take credits for his work. Also Mick and Keith have huge egos, they tend to present themselves as flawless, especially Keith - nothing that ever happens is his fault, not even when he drove stoned as hell and crashed his car while his kids were in the car.

    My idea is that Brian become irrelevant as contribution to the band as they were already up and running. I am sure that they wanted him out of the way as soon as possible but obviously not him to end that way. He was still their boss in a way and I think they were feeling intimidated somehow by his presence even if he was getting weaker and weaker. He created the band but it became bigger than he thought it would be. I am sure he did not want to become a huge star in the end but just make a living playing in small venues. He was the most talented individual in the Stones and the one who paid the biggest price.
    R. I. P. Brian.

      @Wyvern The Terrible
      The Police looked the other way and didn't want to investigate the death further in the small village of the Cotswolds in Hartfield. When they questioned the guests they all had an alibi about how the events following to the death and after took place. The entire testimony of those guests that evening just don't smell right to me! Brian was fed those drugs by people in his inner circle, that's my feeling and he fell for it. I believe it all started when they did a concert in Germany and that blonde bombshell model offered the guys a "joint". All the members of the band refused except Brian. In my mind he took her bait and she baited him further with acid, LSD, and heroin. He was on his way to Purgatory from that point on! The blonde bombshell model was no good for him but what did he know? To him she was pure "gold" and a fun female. Honestly, she was a dirty woman. From that point on he was falling faster from the earth in oblivion. He was so deep in the "dark hole" he was helpless. No one in the band cared where he would land. Not like Keith Richards who was sent away to clean his addiction and the band stood behind him and waited patiently for his recovery. How horribly ignorant that they wouldn't do the same for Brian. I blame the entire members: Mick, Keith, Bill, and Charlie. They just didn't care about him. How sad on their part.

    For Mick & Keith, it would be very hard to keep Brian in the group. He couldn't get a proper passport to go to Monterey so that was a red flag. Sadly 14 years later Dennis Wilson (1944-1983) died three days after xmas in an alcohol and drug drowning accident. Some say that if had he lived he and Eric Clapton would have formed their own group. Brian, Dennis Wilson, Florence Ballard of The Supremes and David Ruffin of The Temptations really beleived their own hype. Because they helped start the group or helped them go and become successful, they were bulletproof but they weren't. I don't know about Brian Jones's Estate but the other three died in poverty.

      We've done a fair amount of research on this very subject for our upcoming Episode 18 of Rock N Roll Archaeology. We don't have much to say about the actual night of Brian's death, except that he had been on a long slide for several years and it is not surprising a 27yr old distraught man is in a dangerous place which could lead to a number of potential disasters. I have personal experience of friends in delicate states in their twenties.
      What we do know is that Mick & Keith, along with Charlie and Bill were all in agreement that Brian's time with the band was finished. He wasn't contributing in any meaningful way for a few years now. The band had moved out of straight blues covers, which Brian was still infatuated by and really didn't fit with the path the band was now headed. It would have been best for Brian to regroup a Blues Inc part deux and grow old as the swingest dick in England on slide guitar.
      One other thing is the band gave Brian a very generous profit sharing of all future Stones recordings for up to ten years. They respected what Brian had done, but knew they had to move forward without him.
      The death of Brian was completely unavoidable, but only by Brian.

      Pantheon Podcasts,
      Not to be disagreeable but I’m not convinced Keith & Mick are respectful of what Brian had done. Years later are still full of negativity towards Brian, which comes across as odd & defensive. Keith & Mick never attempted to help Brian through his troubled times - just wanted to get rid of him it would seem. Regardless I still like their music.
      Different story & set of values but...let’s take Pink Floyd & Syd Barrett for example... As you know ‘Roger Water’s’ who is known for having a strong personality show’s a softer side when talking about Syd, his mental illness, drug abuse & Syd showing up at the recording of Shine on your crazy diamond. You can genuinely tell Floyd valued & cared about Syd, not to mention respected his input/talent & not just to focus on the bad times. David imagines how good Syd could have become (such class from Floyd). Heck even AC DC credits Bon Scott after his misadventures!
      In my opinion it’s Keith & Mick that come across as the ‘dicks’....(Keith’s dick in Jaggers Mick).
      Cheers for the video & opinion mate!

    Even now Mick Taylor can't get his copyright of the real exiles the out takes make the Richards version look like nothing especially Hillside Blues . They stole Brian's copyright as well - Hell's Angels save your life - not so much as a thank you either . Two ponces .

    I’m so sick of Brian Jones fanboys, he was a spoiled erratic brat who cared more about his lifestyle than his band. His contributions are way overblown, he added riffs with interesting instruments and suggested some good blues covers, but he literally never wrote any actual songs. Whatever creativity he had was not worth putting up with as a group.
