We all like to meme on Lepidus, but honestly he turned out all right. He didn't necessarily want to rule Rome. He just wanted to reap as many benefits from the Roman political system as he could. It required him to pull off a delicate balancing act of staying connected with the most powerful people, staying on the winning side of civil conflict, pushing his advantages when he could, and keeping his head down when he had to. I'd say he pulled it pretty well, and it kind of worked out for him. In the end he was rich and got to live a quiet life on a beautiful country villa with his family, and no one ever tried to assassinate him. Sounds pretty great in my book.

Something about the deification of Caesar, 4 months after Caesar's death, a comet bright enough to be seen even during the day appeared and stayed in the sky for seven days. It was named the "Sidus Iulium" and it was interpreted at the time to be the soul of Caesar. Afterward the Comet was a symbol used to signify his divinity in coinage and religious images.

According to Overly Sarcastic Productions, and I quote,
"To play up the sympathy factor, Octavian hosted spectacular funeral games for Ceasar that lasted three days. But not only that, Octavian was really crafty, and he knew from his time studing astronomy in Greece that a comet would appear over Rome while the games were being held - he probably planned for it too. So when all of Rome was busy mourning Ceasar's death, this big huge comet flew across the sky, and after consulation with the oracle to make it look legit, Octavian proclaimed that the comet was a sign of Ceasar becoming a god."

Ceasar and Augustus, are just such great figures in history, and the fact that they are connected to each other makes is oh so interesting and great.
    You didnt inform
you potraited history and in a sense acted it out again, you told a story, and thats great, everyone trys to be objectiv, which is good in some parts of live, but these history storys have to be told with bias, depending on the characters you focus on of course.
