Farming Simulator 2017 Timelapse #8: The Infamous Field 5!

- In today's FS17 time lapse video, which is set in Goldcrest Valley-
We start off by doing our chores with the animals and spreading a little fertilizer on our fields that still need it. Once that's done we're expanding our collection of fields today. After a few smaller jobs, we hit the mighty field 5 with enthusiasm, and by the time we're ready to go home for our tea we've combined, spread slurry, ploughed, cultivated and planted potatoes on it! As a result of this we should have a nice payout when the harvest rolls around as we'll be able to do the work for the owner. We're also buying up a few fields near field 5, but it's going to take a while to earn the money to buy the big one itself!

+Frithgar fun fact in the netherlands we spread fertilizer on the fields and because it isnot a fluid but a like hard egg with fertilizer in it the rain need to wash it out and in the ground so the roots of the plant can get it

I was just ploughing field 5 this morning with the same tractor plough combination that you have.
So tempting to just set the GPS going and leave it, rather than lifting out at the end of each row!
True. That's what I did. I often set my phone up under my monitor so I can watch you tube videos while the GPS does all of the work.
I've got to watch things carefully while I'm recording, but I'm not super human! On jobs like the ploughing on big fields, I tend to play Hearthstone on my tablet so I can keep an eye on both :)
If my phone didn't have such a tiny screen I'd play games like Hearthstone on it too. Beating Freecell over and over gets boring fast.
I have to remember to open a video before I start FS17 so the screensaver won't come on while I'm doing a big field.

on field 5 i used the sam3 exact harvester with the same exact crop

I'm hoping to have a longer than normal timelapse for the day, and I have an actual Christmas special as well planned, but I'm not sure what that one's going to be like yet!
when u plow you do the out side or headlands last
I agree, I only did it this way to speed things up. Also, I know a lot of ploughmen who will plough a furrow at the headland where they want to lift the plough out of the ground as a visual aid, but it also serves to wake them up if they've fallen asleep before they reach the end of the field. When you're working in fields that take an hour to get from one end to the other with the plough, there's a good chance of falling asleep!

how much time did you need for the timlapse
Kevin Hofmann the timelapses usually take about 6-7 hours to make before editing and rendering.
like your vids but i've heard that it is smart to fertelize in the rain beucase then the fertelizer goes down to the roots of the plants.
I was always told that if you fertilize whilst it's raining you run the risk of the fertilizer being washed away. It needs to be spread and then start raining afterwards as the granules will have had time to soften, then the rain will wash the nutrients down into the soil.

I don't think so as it's scripts that make it run and they've already stated that they can't release scripts for consoles

why on pc do you get better tractors doing jobs like you get a case I on ps4 i get a zetor
Patrick O Driscoll it's random, I think the zetor you got was the better one in the game, the case he got wasn't one of the best, and the 2nd zetor is decent. The tractors you get are selected randomly (if they are suitable for the job) from your list of tractors in the game, mods included.

Do a 1 hour timelapse
This was 7 hours of gameplay and gave around 19 minutes. An hour would be around 20-24 hours of gameplay so not going to happen my friend!
Frithgar so why cant you do it you could just make 3 ish videos combine them and you have a 1 hour video

Why would you want to plant field 5 potatoes
Because the reward for harvesting them should be quite big. Also I'm insane. I spent nearly a year proving this back when I played World of Warcraft and actually earned the title Frithgar The Insane.

If you every do that again see if the farmer that owns field five owns any other Fields's you could do less and get the same discount
In Goldcrest, sadly the owner of field 5 doesn't own any other fields, so you're forced to work the big field if you want to earn the discount!

i earned the most money ever for doing that field in potatoes (IDK IF YOU SHOULD DO IT ITS 8 HOURS) but you mzke like $300000
300000 in 8 hours ? It's not worth it I think
Machin Truc well its the longest i have done so far it said it was 200000 but i got like a 4 hour time bonus.the time for the mission was 503:10
Its a potato harvest and expect a while because the potato harvester is the smallest harvester in the game
