- In today's FS17 time lapse video, which is set in Goldcrest Valley-
We're finishing off the stump grinding and gathering up the last of the logs first today. Then we've got fields to buy, fertilizer to buy, fields to plough, potatoes to harvest, pigs to feed and a whole arable harvest to bring in. The huge amount of other ploughing that we've still got to do will have to wait until later I think!

How he can plough a grass?
Trucker2389 when you have a plough attached to a tractor, it gives you an option to "create fields" allowing you plough anything aside from a paved road
Congrats on hitting 20,000 subs! For what it's worth, I ran into the same issues with leasing the small potato harvester as you did: what a royal PITA! But the big one is soooo expensive! It really makes potato farming un-fun in general. On the other hand, the yield is so big, you only need one harvest to feed the pigs forever :)
Yeah, I am quite pleased I won't have to do it very often! It would be fantastic to see another potato harvester that's about halfway between the two that we've got

Dude cause I'm in Australia (Smoko) hahahah but when i wake up on Thursday and Monday mornings I get so hyped for a new Timelapse I love them bro
I'd highly recommend planting sugar beet next time. Not only is the Self-propelled harvester larger than the potato one, but on the cheaper equipment u can have both of the parts on the same tractor as the collector part is in the middle and the same width.
If you have the choice of potatoes or sugar beets choose the beets they are worth more and the harvesting is more efficient

If you want to do a harvest of sugarbeets, I highly suggest it. One, the yield is very high. Second, you can top the field and harvest it in one go while using the small grimme harvester. I recently harvested feild 19 and got about 50,000 liters of beets off. I suggest that you plant all of your fields in beets and do a large harvest. btw love the vids.
When we've used up the potatoes, I'll probably plant a small field with beets next, then we'll do a massive beet harvest later in the series when we have more land
When you use the stumpgrinder in the timelapse it looks almost like you have a big blue dog who is wagging its tail!^^
For fertilizer, I prefer the liquid one because it has 2000L pallets instead of 1000L which saves you alot of handling and transport time, plus the liquid fertilizer seem to spread at a slower rate than the solid one cause you can do big ass fields with the Caruelle-Nicolas and it only has a capacity of 4600L iirc. It's really up to your preference at the end of the day I think!
The thing I don't like about the liquid fertilizer is I don't yet have a storage tank for it. As soon as I find a tank that I can fill myself with the liquid fertilizer pallets, I think I'll try it out. I don't like the idea of just buying it direct at the farm or having lots of pallets piled up at the farm.
Yah I agree we need some transportations for liquid fertilizer as well as a decent sized water tank! Atleast you can use the auger wagons to carry the solid stuff around for now.. :-/

There is a little jcb bobcat that u can buy with a stump cutter and it's very easy to use
maybe there should be extra helpers for this harvester? in aberdeenshire we would have workers on the platform, usualy to select through stones and clods of dirt, all fields are usually de-stoned first too, i think a mod for a de-stoner wpuld be good

You have to plow SO far as possible because then you can fertilize iT and inventuly you get more out of Your land

When you are doing a new series, can you make one of the challenges to only use manure as fertilizer? That way animals are a huge priority from the start.

I'll try that soon, I've done one field with it, but it takes so much longer to be able to do a harvest when you use them!

The stump grinder is nothing to use compared to the wood grapples on the Buffalo and log trailers in my opinion!
Yeah I really hate using those, that's the one area of the game that doesn't seem to have improved. I will at some point try setting up two joysticks to use on the crane arms to see if that's any better, then get back to you all with my verdict!

Trying new mods that I've not seen before I think. It kind of changes from week to week what I really enjoy, but yes, mostly, it's all about trying new things I've not done before, and this game allows that to happen over and over again!

Can u get the locodrive mod. It's a mod in the mod hub and it makes the trains drive on their own so it's a bit more realistic. You can make the trains stop by pressing a couple things. It says in the description. It's in beta or other or something.

I love timlapse but I wish you would talk Also do u have ANY mods at all????? Seriously do a different map and how long did it take you to do this without timlapse?
6 hours gameplay per episode, I talk in the regular let's plays and I try to start with no mods to see what we can do with the vanilla game before I start slowly bringing in lots of mods

dont do that mistake with the silage i did it and i got 1,800 tons and i have allmost the same fields as you.When you want to compact it i stayed 1 hour with 3 tractors following me and they keep geting stuck becouse the new way of of tiping in the bunker.....i got from 1,800tons of silage only 600,000 money....that really pissed of!
