SM64DS: Spitting Unspittable Objects

Yoshi can spit some objects, but not others. But with a glitch, even the unspittable ones can be spit. What happens if Yoshi spits an unspittable object?

Imagine doing this to all the stars in VS mode so that nobody can win. I don't know if there is a way to interrupt swallowing in VS mode though.

Something interesting I discovered is spitting out hats can allow you to collect uncollectable powerups. I have a video myself showing how this can allow you to get Balloon Mario in Bob-omb battlefield. Basically, if you spit a cap out after waiting some time, it won't despawn. You can use this to "relocate" hats to arbitrary location. What you can then do is transform into a character which spawns the desired powerup (wing, power flower), transform using the glitched hat, then collect the powerup. This works even if the target character normally spawns a bob-omb instead of a power flower. Not super useful, but minorly interesting and something you can show off to friends.

Honestly I always thought that the spitting and egg throwing mechanics were first introduced in SM64DS, that was until I found out that they both originated from the first Yoshi's Island
