The best part of this scene is how the title just says "Space"
Not just 'Space' though, but the space between Asgard and Earth. I thought it was established that Quill didn't want to go back to Earth, but if so, why are they so near Earth here?
@@Perserra Bro it's meant to be a joke
@@Perserra asgard and earth aren't close
@@Robin-bg4lq Where is that established? Why would Asgardians have such a connection to Earth if they weren't at least somewhat close to each other, cosmicly speaking?
@@Perserra They're near Earth because they're locating the distress call from the Asgardian ship
Cap entrance.
Thor entrance.
Guardians entrance.
Theatres became stadiums.
Infinity War just hits different.
I remember it taking so long for Infinity War to even come out, I would watch the trailers in highschool and get so blown away, I literally graduated from collage last week, time flies :(
My God, Infinity War was on a different level. What a moment to be a theater goer.
I love that gamora is actually jamming out
Of course. She was digging Quill's music from the getgo. In fact, the whole crew loves the music. Drax loves it to maintain his weapons by or go to sleep to.
Well the melody is pleasant
That's one of the best parts of the scene to me.
@@davegarrett231 *scoffs* that's pathetic. "THE MELODY IS PLEASANT!" that's how it's done.
@@larrypoppins6273 I'm not a fan of all caps. But I get what you're saying.
It's just struck me how good of an introduction this would be even if you hadn't seen the Guardians movies. With no prior knowledge of these characters, you'd already get a feel for their tone and personalities.
If you wanna appreciate this scene even more the Benatar is a super subtle fo of foreshadowing. The ships silhouette strongly resembles a swallow, a bird associated with death, failure, and the loss of loved ones. Ofc if you know the arch of the guardians in this movie the symbolism of the swallow makes a lot of sense. Was this intentional? Idk. Is it really fucking cool? Yes.
I was thinking the same.
wonderful philosophy, and Agree 3000
@@CelTheArtist I see what u did here homie
I watched this movie again with my parents and they saw it for the first time. They absolutely love the Guardians!
I literally remember the theater was literally cheering and hyped up like a wrestling event in the late 90s. Infinity War was truly a once in a lifetime event
Major crowd pop! The Gaurdians and Thor arriving in Wakanda were over like rover!
Agreed!!! Glad I saw in theatres on opening weekend!!!
Yes it was! I saw it on opening weekend and will never forget this scene
Yeah that was incredible to experience
And the fact Batista was a former wwe Superstar this comment makes so much sense
In loving memory of Peter's Mom who gave him the gift of music. Because of her, we get these fucking fantastic scenes.

because of her, and his space batteries, the never running out kind
The best part is how even Gamora is enjoying herself and acting like Peter.
And also the word space
Because she digs that music like he digs her out. It goes hand in hand.
The best part of this scene is that the second Rubberband Man can be heard, people know _exactly_ who is about to show up. Further reinforcement is that the location is literally just âSpaceâ.
Middle of nowhere? Check
Simple straightforward description of outer-space location? Check
Funky tune? Check
Familiar Winged Spaceship zooming in the distance? Check
Yep, They're Here
Seriously this was where I got EXCITED.
My theater audience literally cheered for the "SPACE" chyron -- the song and the setting told them who was coming
I remember people cheering at this part lol
I was the only person in the theater who was singing it. I knew the words.
Lol

Only with spaceships, the Captain picks the music while the pilot pilots. I think that settles that argument on who is the Captain.
This scene came out of nowhere and the theater was rockin'
Love how Gamora is singing too
She was lip-syncing
Thanks captain obvious
I imagine being in that spaceship with themđ
I would be dancing in my seat alongside Quill
I would be playing video games with Groot

As Groot said "I love you guys" đ„șâïž
The introduction of âSPACEâ and that genre of music, the whole theatre knew we were about to see our Guardians
I keep coming back to this one minute of film over and over and over again and it never fails to lift my spirits. From the wonderful choice of music to the beauty shot of the Benatar whipping through that rainbow colored slipstream to Peter and Gamora singing with the music this is just one of the most perfect uplifting pieces of cinema history I've ever experienced.
Same here âđ»
Especially after the dark beginning. This scene is why I am happy to have seen Infinity War in the theater. The title card Space with an upbeat classic song. 500 people cheered. We never heard Rubberband Man, or even motown in a GOTG movie yet. Still we knew. The whole place was cheering before we even saw the Milano.
Yes đđŒ
A family on a road trip.
I literally lost my shit in the theater. Not only was I excited to see the GOTG in this clip, but my dad used to listen to The Spinners CD all the time wrn I was a kid. So this scene brought back some incredible nostalgic emotions. Thanks dad for introducing me to GREAT music. Peter's mom hooked him up, and YOU hooked me up the same way. RIP!!!
This is by far, my favourite scene in the history of movies
La mejor entrada del cine. El tĂ©rmino âSPACEâ tan simple y esa obra maestra de mĂșsica nos hizo saber con claridad quiĂ©n iba a entrar: Los Guardianes de la Galaxia đ
They fucking nailed this scene man! In some other movies licensed songs can feel cheesy or out of place but the way itâs narratively woven into Peters love for music (and by extension his mother) and how the movie perfectly shows who all the characters are in a few moments with body language alone. Magnificent scene
After 25 minutes into the film with Thanos taking the space stone, Killing Loki, and destroying Thor's ship. And then Dr Strange gets taken by Ebony Maw and Iron Man heads off to save him and Spider Man follows leaving Bruce Banner on earth to get back Captain America, Black Widow and Falcon. And after 25 minutes...........THESE GUYS FINALLY COME IN!!!!!!!! đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
you said it! I remember watching this in the cinema and when the word SPACE came up thinking "and now THIS movie has started" Immense Energy Injection ....musical foreshadowing at its best!

The whole sequence is amazing dude.
@@mist1242 i agree
It almost brings a tear to my eye and the music goes with it so well!
favorite shot of the whole movie aside from when Thor goes to wakanda with Stormbreaker
I remember being in the theater and when this scene transitioned in it was quiet then the Milano pops up and everyone LOST THEIR SHIT. Seeing IW in the theater with a bunch of people just as into it was a unique and wonderful experience
That's Benatar.
By far my favorite scene in the movie. The visuals, the music. Quill and Gamorah jamming. So good đ
This scene was just so perfect, prior to this everything looked hopeless and then you see that streak across space along with the music and it lifts your emotions as you see these wonderful misfits.
I love how the directors know, your not following along a map where the guardians are exactly. You just know space is space.
The guardians easily have the best feel out of all the marvel characters.
This is my favorite Infinity War memory. I didnât realize what song it was and thought it was just the soundtrack, and was like âSpace? Really? Thatâs all youâre givinâ me? Yeah, space is small enough you donât need to explain any more speci- oh!â And then the audience cheered, and I cheered, and we jammed out with Gamora.
I remember the day I saw this movie in theater. The moment the music started, I knew who was coming on scream, I just let myself enjoying the music and jamming along with Quill and Gamora. It became the moment I most remember of this film.
I don't have the words to explain how happy I felt when I got to this scene on my first viewing in theaters. I had a theater of decent people so there was no over the top cheering but I remember seen everyone get a jolt of energy when this scene came up. Pure happiness after what was a fun but also depressing start. This movie is just perfect!!

Just imagine how crazy audience reactions would have been if the marketing never shown the Guardians at all.
Absolutely love how they've been called to a crisis situation and on the way there half the team are sleeping, the other are singing and one is playing a console game. đ€Ł

Those couple of knuckleheads.
The guardians!
Saw this in the cinema solo. Solidified me as a proper Marvel fan.
@Eric DeVries I really enjoy the MCU is consider myself truly a fan. Im not pretending or lyjng.
@Eric DeVries No you don't. That's being a comic book fan, this is being an MCU fan. You can be both, but you can also not be and that's fine, they're different mediums. Not everyone enjoys both mediums. The good thing is that's completely okay.
The movies don't require you to read the comic books so you can enjoy them for just what they are.
How did you get a solo cinema for Infinity war

How immediately we knew its was The Guardianâs Of The Galaxy by far they had the best soundtracks. Am I wrong?
Ur not wrong
Marvel never recoverd from this film and rightly so
What do The Guardians of the Galaxy films, SpongeBob SquarePants, Shrek, and Regular Show all have in common? They deserve appreciation to at least a few music snobs for introducing kids to great songs!
This whole scene encapsulates the whole Guardians vibe. I love it
This scene just get you in the best vibe!! I love it sooo soooo much!!! One of my favourite scenes!!
I always loved how Gamora just sang along or lip-synced to it too. I SO wanted to see Quill marry her at the end and maybe in a future Guardians movie have little green and Quill colored children Rocket has to sometimes baby sit.
these were the last times gamora and peter were happy and peaceful

Thanks Avengers & thank you guardians for introducing me to this great old song
Most epic entrance in the whole movie.
I would love to see a miniseries or an animated show detailing the Guardians adventures between Guardians 2 and Infinity War as four years have passed between the two.
But it seems impossible as some actors said they won't return to mcu.
I bet they had a lot of fun together. đ
About to the watch the new guardians and this is how I prepare myself! ITS GOING TO BE THE LIFE SAVER OF THE MCU
Avengers and guardians of the galaxy are working together I love them all đȘđœ
Rewatching this scene makes me think that GotG should have been a tetralogy, not a trilogy. The third movie, an uneven but beautiful and satisfying conclusion, should have been the fourth. And the third should have been an extra adventure as Quill and Gamora are together - no melodrama. That team really is one of the few things that I truly loved about the MCU.
I can't tell you how much I love this scene. It is everything.
This is an honor around 98% of the new generations of âartistsâ will never have.
This song is a timeless masterpiece. These artists were on a different level. True talent!!â€â€â€
