  • Good news! Finally completed the review of my new piano. Sorry it took so long, but I was very thorough, and the beastly thing turned out to be over an hour and my laptop repeatedly refused to render it as a whole😂, so I had to cut it into 4 parts: 1.Action. 2.Sound+ musical examples. 3.Features. 4.Cabinet, Resume + Comparison. So it is another (unintentional) mini-series.😆This way will also be easier for you to choose the parts you are most interested in, in case you do not want to watch the entire series:) Enjoy!
P.S. A typo on the last screen, comparing to CLP 775 in the next video, sorry for the confusion!
    Part 3 content:
    0:00 Intro
0:55 Brief list of sounds, how to switch between them
    2:49 Metronome: possible modifications
    4:20 Transpose Function
    4:50 Piano Room features
    7:15 Grand Expression Feature!
    8:36 Changing Half Pedal Point
9:15 New Feature: Voice Edit. How changes are applied
    11:02 Voice Edit Options
    12:45 Fun Sound Effects
    15:50 Touch Sensitivity micro adjustment!
    18:26 File and Recording Function
    19:50 Split Keyboard, Duet feature
    21:21 Different Tuning Options
    22:20 Bluetooth function and Headphones
Promised list of my setting modifications:
    Lid: Full
    Reverb: Recital or Concert Hall
    Reverb Depth: 7
    Damper Resonance : 8
    Duplex Resonance: 7
    String Resonance:7
    Body Resonance: 7
Grand Expression: Static (closer to an average acoustic) or Dynamic (more sensitive and ideal response).
Touch : Hard 1 (touch sensitivity 62-64) or Medium (58-60)
    (With Bösendorfer Brightness +1)
I tried to include all the information that I feel competent at delivering and consider important in choosing a digital piano. I hope this information will be of help to some of you, while you might be choosing an instrument without getting an access to it in person before buying.
    Best of luck!

You can actually record directly to audio/wav by holding down the record button! Page 60 in the manual. No need to create the midi first.

did you try the Kawai CA 701 recently? I wonder if you like Yamaha sound or Kawai sound... or Casio GP-310 Steinway and Bechstein sound

Hey Khalid, unfortunately I also do not know how to save them, otherwise I would mention it in the video:(😭 someone said it was possible, but I wasn't able to figure it out:( see if anyone mentioned it in the chat. I thought someone said something about it here, but I forgot who...sorry! Best of luck

Have you ever tried the Kawai CA 59? It's a direct competitor to CLP 745. Curious what you thought.

Thanks for your question. I tried CA 49 a while ago. I liked the action and the pedaling. I think this series is a very good instrument! Certainly a great choice for someone who likes Kawai. I personally prefer the brighter tone of Yamaha.

It seems that the type and dryness of the clutches are not good, even touch the lower model clavicles seems to me to be better.

Hi Sanjay! Unfortunately I have the same issue, and I have no idea how to save the setting either!đŸ˜© Someone mentioned to me once that it was possible, at least on the P515 model, so I'm assuming this one should be possible too, but they didn't explain how they didi it, so I still don't know,. sorry I couldn't help.
Pleas let me know if you figure it out!đŸ™đŸ»

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Pƙed rokem +1

Few years ago, I wanted to get CA59, and I really think it's a great instrument, if you don't have an issue with Kawai sound being mellow. It has a better price point,I honestly think CLP 745 is overpriced for what it is. But for me the sound of CFX grand sample was a game changer, so I stick with YAMAHA. If you like Kawai sound, go with it. The keys feel nice, IMHO.

I feel like the clavicles are not normal in some wayی not like real or digitalی hand weight and touch and the size of the clavicle is a little unusual.

Thank you. Can you use Bluetooth midi out to interact with garage band on the iPad? So I can trigger external sounds or record with garage band?

    • @Dariafortepiano
      @Dariafortepiano  Pƙed rokem

I am not 100% sure, I would need to check the manual, but from my understanding the Bluetooth works only one way, making you able to play something on an external device through the piano's speakers.i don't think it works the other way around, where the piano would trigger external sounds. Maybe anyone else can confirm or disprove . Thank you!

@@Dariafortepiano thank you! I know you recommended saving for the 775. I read those keys are heavier than on the 475. Do you know if that would be. Noticeably worse playing those heavier keys? Some one said the keys are 80g.
