I went to the Neighbourhood Playhouse from 1989-1991 under Meisner, Barter, Pinter etc. Stage 1 is pretty good, although loose. Stage 2, and that's the one thing I would change, is: We weren't aloud to talk about ourselves at all. Meaning: The word I shouldn't come up once, since you're talking about yourself, and you're not expressing yourself in that moment. You don't have to talk about yourself, cause the audience should SEE what's going on with yourself. For the Activity: We were told to wait a little longer in front of the door, to let the partner get into the activity, which isn't necessary here, cause he is already in it. As for the I: He says "I really don't care". That's something, that she should see and mention. So he's takin away a moment for her by talking about himself. And thus her throwing the cups from the table comes without any development on her side. Based on his inner life (which is great), she should work of him, feel that its very important for him and then decide if she REALLY wants to throw the cups off the table. He really believes in his Activity and that's wonderful to watch. Since she's talking about HER Feelings most of the time, she doesn't give herself the opportunity to establish true contact, she basically stands there with her arms folded. As for the narrator: Helping one in an activity is no-go in my Opinion. It's called Independent Activity cause you're not aloud to help. At least that's what they told us. This is a great channel by the way. I recommend it to all my students.

You’re full of bananas. 89-91 Sandy was already living and teaching in LA. Marty Barter and Santa Claus were with him. Another fraud.

I just learned, in the first 8 minutes, more than I learned in a year and a half in Los Angeles.

Yeah but you can't REALLY learn it in 8 minutes. It takes time for it to really sink in. I've been doing it for five years in Sydney and this seems like a shortcut.

That’s a simple yet great example how monologues can be boring or very interstitial g and what’s the secret behind that.
