I’d recommend adding smart containers. So handy for keeping decent organization. Should also try chest snapping. Also try azu’s equipment and quick slots mod is sort of a less buggy version of all the expanded inventory extra quick slots mods I’ve seen.

I keep chests next to the smelterfor wood and metals they don't get affected by rain and saves moving the furnace and smelter.

That's an excellent idea. I usually kept a chest next to my smelter in the vanilla version as well, but I think I'm intrigued by the concept of having my whole base built around the storage that everything can draw from. I think I'm going to stack chests even higher and just place the production to be within range, probably extending the base outward as well.

Just started my Ashlands playthrough and I'm using things like Renegade and eternal fuel etc. I really didn't wanna do it all vanilla again as my save got corrupted a while ago. I know it's possible to tame the neutral vikings with a "Healing Pill" but they don't seem to eat any roasts etc, I'm assuming it's pills and then straight to meals? Also do you know if you can SELL things to the traveling trader if you have the revamped trader mod? Or does selling only work with Haldor?
The first thing I did was build an entire fishery around the travelling trader as I found her on the shore, then built my house next to it a couple seconds away :P

As far as I know you'll need meals to tame the neutral Vikings. Carrot soup is easiest but they may tame faster with better meals. I believe you can fully customize what the traders will buy and sell in the mod's config files, just play around with the settings until they are to your liking. I tried the config files and none of the sell list items are applying to the game, I tried removing "Read Only" from properties and made sure I got the code correct and everything, I'll just deal with selling the usual things as it could be a little too cheesy anyway. I bought the Steam version of Valheim when it first came out way back, so this is on PC. I also play with a controller, but the game now shows the XBox controller buttons on the screen even though I'm actually playing with a Switch pro controller.
